Forty nine years ago I saw my first League Cup final win with a 2-1 (AET) victory over The Victims with goals from Drew Jarvie and The Brush (RIP). Ally McLeod's (also RIP) finest hour as Aberdeen manager. I remember being absolutely euphoric, little did I know what the next ten years or so would bring us Halcyon Days indeed

Not me This is the only Conference League game I am missing this year (home or away). Couldn't justify taking another three or four days away from my business unfortunately

Absolutely gutted to learn this evening of the passing of Willie Young ex Aberdeen, Arsenal, Spurs, Notts Forest and Norwich City I remember Willie breaking into the Aberdeen team and then us selling him for £125k soon thereafter. Young never got the Scotland caps he probably deserved owing to having been one of the Copenhagen Five who received life time bans from the SFA. Also know for being the man who got the rules of the game changed after a FA Cup final incident involving Paul Allen RIP "Big Willie"

Apparently on the radar of Hibs Think he'd be better suited elsewhere to be honest.

So this is the one of the six Conference League games I'm not attending. Not sure where the confidence that we can get something out of this is coming from. Whilst Cyprus might not be the greatest power in European football, Larnaca sit second top of the Conference League and we sit rock bottom. They have already beaten AZ and Crystal Palace, not sure there is any Scottish team at present would be doing that, far less us. Can't see anything other than a defeat to be honest, the important part for me is the level of performance and to demonstrate that we are learning lessons from the harsh experiences we have had. Again being brutally honest, I'm not really sure this will be the case BUT will be delighted to be proved wrong here. Really nice to be back in the house so soon after the match finished for a change Not much to add that's not already been said. We started brightly and deservedly took the lead but completely failed to build on it. The second half we never laid a glove on them and made them look semi competent for long spells. On another evening we could easily have conceded three or four and been heavily defeated. Mitov flapped time and time again. He really needs someone to be pushing him to keep the shirt. Lobban can be proud of his first start and more than played his part. Dare I say it, Jensen actually had one of his better games for us tonight. Has anything changed as a result of tonight, in my opinion definitely no. The deep rooted issues are still there but for once I will enjoy my large dram to accompany the three points and try and thaw out as it was fucking cold in Killie

I thought that about Lobban/Jensen as well initially at the time. Not so sure Rico but we'll see soon enough I guess. Loving the way Knoester and Devlin in particular are constantly encouraging Lobban. Early days I know but he doesn't look out place tonight

Lobban and Jensen switched sides Killie fans seem to have developed a greater dislike of Jensen than most of our support have

Not advocating that all three of them should be put straight into the first team but you would expect an odd sub appearance or the like. Think Bilalovic got on against The Arabs a few weeks back and never seen again, despite actually looking half decent. Frame is supposed to be a left back/left wing back but despite our issues in this position he has still to be seen. Kjaratansson I thought was supposed to be first team ready. Hear fit you're saying about age but not sure spending £1.2m on three young players we don't play strikes me as the best use of limited funds. All about opinions I guess
