Anyone else having issues logging into RedTV today? Maybe they are updating something?

Not a big fan of politics in fitba but at least this is prior to kick off: https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/sport/football/aberdeen-fc/donsnews/derek-mcinnes-says-aberdeen-would-have-taken-the-knee-for-black-lives-matter-ahead-of-rangers-game-with-or-without-official-backing/ If it was like in England when it was after the KO in some cases then I seriously wouldn't put it past the Huns to run up the park and put one in the net while we took the knee....

I'm surprised honestly that I haven't heard more about him this year amongst the support - and that may in effect answer the question in the poll. However, I'm curious what everyone thinks - are we missing him or has his loss been minimal?

Personally I see it more like the end of a long term relationship. You had some good times but now you suspect she’s cheating on you with your worst enemy. But you can’t actually bring yourself to believe it. I mean, she telt you she loves you and you were the one for her. Eventually realization sets in and ye hate the hoor.... Plenty more fish in the sea!

My money is on a glorious failure against the English which buys Strachan some more time...

That's how it is in the US as well with the exception of the Tennis (we are getting Sir Andrew but only because the US have no decent Tennis players). And even though the events are going on live, we are getting them on a time delay with a bunch of adverts.

I personally thought Jack was quietly very effective. I think most of us agree he's not Captain material (at least not yet) but to Bobby's point about Considine and Taylor struggling with Magennis, I thought Jack really helped protect them. Also agree that Shinnie and Logan are immense and Robson played well.
-
Excellent post. Totally agree that Storie appeared nervous to start but came onto a hell of a game. He and Shinnie were immense, McLean and Logan were effective as were Reynolds and Taylor.
-
Agree with all of that except the part on McLean. He definitely got better as the game went on but still don't think he's playing anywhere near potential.

No, it's because the rain made us look like the All-Blacks and the Australians were sh*tting themselves.

I'm not sure it's a desire or passion thing - they appeared to be trying their hearts out. Seems it's just a confidence thing illustrated by the woefulness in front of goal but they need to sort it out soon because a few more defeats in the next few matches and the league is over before Christmas.

Latest estimates have the amount of guns in the US at over 310 million. Yes you read that correctly, 310 MILLION. And therein lies the problem, they will NEVER get rid of all guns and buy-back schemes etc are fine but the reality is the 'bad guys' are unlikely to willingly hand them in as well as a significant amount of the population that believe strongly in the 2nd amendment. Remember, this was written to provide security against government tyranny so any move by the government to remove that will be portrayed as the government trying to silence the masses (while clearly this application has changed greatly in the past several hundred years). As MBT mentioned, there are a LOT of people dying in places like Chicago - I think I read somewhere that the weekend before the Oregon shootings there were 49 shootings in Chicago with over 20+ deaths. And Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the US. Really the short of it is that they need to start properly enforcing the gun laws that exist and then try to find a way to get as many guns off the street as possible. Frankly, I'm quite amazed that there aren't MORE shootings given that there are almost as many guns as there are people in this country. And all the comparisons to the UK and AUS etc are fine but, using the worlds most trustworthy source Wikipedia, there are 6.6 guns per 100 persons in the UK, 15 per 100 persons in AUS and 112 per 100 persons in the US so to compare 'advanced countries' is a fairly simplistic view of it.

Enjoy your trip to the Stadium of Jeans!

I did look a couple of weeks ago but didn't find one. Works for me on iPhone Safari though. Maybe try native Android browser?
-
Yeah I've been using Chrome or Firefox (mainly Chrome)
-
Which browser are you using? I'm just east of Los Angeles so its likely we are close by judging by your username; no problems on this end...

Thanks manc. I don't want to jinx anything but we are a few games into the season and RedTV has been absolutely excellent so far. I've watched games on a plane, in an airport, in a car all through my phone or tablet - which you just couldn't do with the old system. In addition the quality has been excellent and having our own commentary team has ben great. The website is still a bit confusing and a PITA to log into, but that aside a really major improvement. Well Done AFC!

x 2 Best of luck to you Jamie. He may not have been our best ever goalkeeper (given we've had some great ones) but he always tried his best IMO and wish him well for the future.

Aberdeen - Kairat Almaty - 06/08/15 - 19:45 SOLD OUT
Dandy_Don replied to manc_don's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
I thought Aberdeen dominated that game and really gave it their all. Yes they didn't go 'gung-ho' until the last 10 minutes but I think it was the right approach. Need Rooney to find his touch again. Logan didn't do great in first half but much improved in the second. Jonny Hayes was also not at his best - it's funny that we seem to win when Hayes plays well.
