  1. I think Neale Cooper is another being mentioned.
  2. Truth was though, I remember speaking with Ebbe and one of the coaching staff at the time and they said McCallister was technically the most gifted defender at the club - he just didn't have the concentration which was why he constantly made mistakes!
  3. I think the Poll is interesting in that 19/30 voters so far have said they would like Calderwood to go, even though I, and many others, perceive DT to be more accepting of Calderwood than some other sites.
  4. Eh?
  5. Is this one of those 'role-play' games? ???
  6. Done
  7. Would have been better off digging a hole
  8. I think they are plunting tatties!

  10. Yes - As much as I always have Not as much as I used to - I still enjoy it but, funnily enough, not as much as I used to No - I don't enjoy it at all.
  11. There was actually an incident in the Fulham v WBA game I think at the weekened where the referee Phil Dowd over-ruled his assistant and allowed play-on even though his assistant raised his flag for off-side.
  12. True
  13. Although I agree with you both, surely the job of the strikers is to put the ball in the net? If we had scored 3 or 4 beforehand, then the penalty and the sending off wouldnt have mattered. We need to take advantage of our possession and the strikers clearly are not playing as well as they should.
  14. I think, other than against Celtic, based on the last few performances, it was a very healthy crowd. However, I am still not sure if they include absent ST holders in their calculations.
  15. Definitely against Falkirk.
  16. I think that is a fair point, but I am talking about over a long period of time. I'm not a massive fan of Calderwood but the current run is not really what I am talking about. I am actually fairly certain we will start winning again soon because we hae a reasonably average or above average squad of players. However, even supposing we win 10 in a row, I don't get excited about it half as much as I used to. I know this will be controversial but I would go as far as to say I used to enjoy going to the football, in general, more during the Ebbe era than now. I accept things are better now than they were at that time, and that Calderwood has done a reasonable job and almost certainly better than Ebbe. But in terms of excitement and enjoyment, I was much happier going to see the likes of Kjaer, Bisconti, Zerouali, Belabed, Guntveit and Stavrum as opposed to Foster, Considine, Maguire, Kerr and even Miller. I understand we probably had more finances available to us at that time, but if we look even further back, we still had exciting Scottish/British players that didn't cost an arm and a leg - Eoin Jess, Scott Booth, Stephen Wright, David Robertson, Duncan Shearer, Lee Richardson to mention but a few. I just feel as if we are lacking a spark, an excitement. There is not one of the current squad that jumps out and screams ambition to me, other than perhaps Aluko.
  17. When I was younger I used to spend the whole week looking forward to watching Aberdeen play. Nowadays, I live abroad, but I find it a chore most Saturdays sticking on the computer to listen or watch completely uninspiring football. I was wondering if anyone else was starting to feel this disillusioned with things.
  18. All good shouts for me - I would be happy with any of them.
  19. You don't think it was reasonable to expect us to beat Dundee United and QotS last season?
  20. The question therefore has to be WHY didn't Leighton have any input into the signing of a new Goalkeeper? Am I right in thinking he works with the Scottish Under 21s? He must be able to see some decent up and coming keepers that we could afford.
  21. And cup finals.
  22. I think one of the main problems is that although most of us know Calderwood will turn it round to some extent (based on the fact that, in general, the squad is fairly talented), a few fair few of us don't see achieving top 6 or even 4th place as a major achievement. Yes we are only 6 games into the season, but at the start of the season we were entered into 3 tournaments - we are out of 1 tournament, and are not going to win the league, so really we have 1 chance left. How many of us would bet our house on us winning the Scottish Cup? After 4 years in charge, I would have thought we should have been in at least 2 or 3 cup finals by this point based on the quality of the squad and the resources available.
  23. But that is what Mackie is paid to do - you would think he would score a reasonable percentage of these and he simply does not.
  24. I thought he should have got it passed Boruc, or maybe he should have rounded him. But then that would require some footballing ability which as we all know he doesn't possess.
