  2. This. I certainly don't remember anybody getting carried away when we re-signed him.
  3. Very encouraging highlights. Difficult to tell whether Vernon was offside or not but two great headers nonetheless. Young Fraser looks good!
  4. 30 years ago today. Aberdeen 7 (Black, Strachan, Hewitt, Simpson, Own Goal, McGhee, Kennedy) Sion 0 Team: Leighton, Kennedy, McMaster, Simpson, McLeish, Miller, Strachan, Black (Weir), McGhee, Bell (Rougvie), Hewitt.
  5. Levein played 4-6-0. Del Bosque played 4-3-3. Del Bosque won Euro 2012. Levein is a cunt.
  6. I walk past the gardens every day, there is never anyone in them.
  7. Dixon's apparently left the BBC, surely to fuck he's not gone to ITV - he must be fucking mad!? EDIT: http://www.itv.com/sport/football/article/2012-07-20/itv-announce-lee-dixon-as-new-football-pundit/
  8. Great picture, didn't know Big Eck and Willie were there. Wasn't a bad game tonight, the Dons played some nice stuff. Atmosphere was a bit drab though. Great to see Fletcher get a warm reception when he came on, but not quite as warm as the reception Rougvie got! Was that Clayton Blackmore at right back in the second half? Seemed like he's still reasonably fit. I was quite impressed with Paton tonight, looks a much better player these days!
  9. It'll be great to see Brian Grant and Dougie Bell again, and of course Rougvie but he's a well kent face round Aberdeen.
  10. It's his money. He wants to invest it in the city centre, the public voted in favour of it (rightly or wrongly). But it's now getting very messy and it might be best to pull the plug otherwise a bunch of hypocrites who never use the park will ensure the saga will drag on for many, many years.
  11. That's where I got pints from!
  12. Actually you are right, it was £5 at Hyde Park for a Heineken! Agreed the food queues were too long, everything else was spot on. Straight on a tube after the athletics, and no waiting getting into the park through security.
  13. The pies were a bit expensive, so was the drink - £4.60 for "ale", £5 for a pint of Heineken. I should it should be expected though.
  14. Blur were superb at Hyde Park last night, a truly epic gig. New Order and the Specials were also excellent.
  15. Saturday night at the Olympic stadium was the best sporting occasion I've ever been to. What an amazing atmosphere, especially during the men's 5000m. What a legend Mo Farah is. It's been a brilliant two weeks, the best Olympics ever.
  16. Useless bastards (the men). I'm going tonight, so little bit pissed off they won't be in the final, but hopefully the Jamaicans go for a world record. Amazing run from the women last night. Fingers crossed for Mo Farah tonight, it'll be amazing if he does it again!
  17. In/Oot: Out Prematcher: Flight to London Match: Olympic Park Postmatcher: Olympic Stadium Prediction: Mo Farah to win the 5000m and the Jamaicans to win the 4x100

If it inspires young people to get off their arses and take up sport then it can only be a good thing.

  20. Having a go at Miller's failed fish restaurant? Sounds like somebody's got a chip on their shoulder.
