I think its been a superb games so far, with some real drama. It's been a huge success so far, very memorable. Highlights for me are Mo Farah and Andy Murray, both fantastic achievements. I am going to the Athletics on Saturday night and should see Bolt in the 4x100m relay and Farah in the 5K. Swimming has been a tad disappointing for GB though. Loads of good Scottish performances, but overall the swimmers have been over shadowed by the track & field, rowing and cycling. I'm in the Netherlands at the moment, but I believe I now have a gold post box near my flat when I get back!

Some of these sports are never shown on Terrestrial TV though. I think it's a great opportunity to watch some cracking sport.

So many NE athletes are involved in finals. There's been at least three in swimming finals (Miley, Carry, Renwick), and David Florence is up in the canoe semi final this afternoon, and Katherine Grainger looked superb in the rowing yesterday.

General sale starts tomorrow.

The women's road race was much better than the men's, we've finally got a medal! (silver) Cavendish came across poorly yesterday - blaming the tactics of other teams!? I thought it was a race, the other teams are out to beat him!? What a pile of shite. Radcliffe out of the marathon

So much for Cavendish getting a gold medal, he finished 28th. GB were never in it today at all. But Sky channel 466 is very good!

I thought it was really good and I don't normally watch the whole of an opening ceremony. I thought the Queen "parachuting" into the Olympic Park was quite good. Agreed. It was a good mix of legends (Ali, Redgrave, Daley etc...), the young kids, and cretins (Beckham).

Meh. Given the amount of cunts in the Scotland team who don't sing Flower of Scotland, this is a complete non story. The press are looking for any way to criticise the Olympics. There's no doubt that some of it is justified (e.g. G4S) but they're going out of their way to pick holes.
