I'm not convinced by this "that was his best chance" talk. He'd have had just as good a chance, if not better, if it was Federer he was playing in the final. Djokovic is on fire at the moment and he and Murray know each others' games far too well.
I was behind the goal, thought we were pretty vociferous up until the 4th, that was the final nail for many of us and knocked the stuffing out of most of the fans.
If all our midfielders were fit (specifically Jack, Milson, Fyvie, Folly) then I wouldn't have him starting. He is so off the pace it is unreal. He might be a good "captain" but what use is he if the game is sailing past him?
Maybe Brown should consider him as Centre Half? Can't be any worse than Diamond.
I'm not sure I want any more like that.
Brown appeared it to get it wrong with playing 3 at the back, and Considine and McNamee as wing backs. We didn't look good and failed to close down for the first goal, then were all over the place for the next two (Langfield looked terrible IMHO) then fuck knows what Young was thinking. Celtic weren't actually all that great today, we just let in four horrendous goals.
I ran 9 miles this morning, then jumped in a car and drove for 3 hours. If my legs weren't beginning to seize up I'd have left when the 4th went in but ended up staying until about the 85th minute.
Only Maguire seemed up for it today, he was trying his heart out and there's no way all this offside decisions were actually offside!
Three total bottlers who have let us down once again.
The three of them can GTF.
Really pissed off, especially with Langfield at the second and third goal. He just stood on his line like a rabbit caught in headlights and never came out for the crosses. Totally inept today.
