  2. Not a great deal to report: There was a big crowd despite the weather All three directors re-elected, with each asked to backup their achievements and hopes for the future (apart from Martin Gilbert who wasn't there); Milne confirming things hadn't quite gone to plan New stadium tenders are out; will go in front of council in February then expected to be called in by the Scottish Government; Hopefully final decision in April (sounds a bit hopeful for the Scottish Government!); Contract to be awarded 1Q 2012; Construction to start 2Q 2012; Finished by start of 2013-2014 season Stadium to cost approx. £35M; £20M to come from sale of Pittodrie (approx. £17M), mortgage and share issue; Remaining money will be a combination of naming rights, sale/rent of offices inside stadium, and thin air Even if we get relegated, the plan is still to move to Loirston; There is no Plan B! Soccer Academy would cost about £4M and funded separately Milne confirmed that the 10 team SPL is AFC's preferred option, seemingly its the only option that works Willie Miller spoke at length with a great deal of passion about the youth development; we now have centres in Dundee, Glasgow and for the first time Edinburgh; He claims we have the best youngsters of any club in Scotland; He also expressed his frustration about the hard time he gets when he is working hard behind the scenes on the youth development; He also says he has been criticised for firing managers but pointed out that he has just hired his 3rd manager in the 6.5 years he has been Director of Football; He spoke very well but he always does compared to Milne Milne confirmed that pay offs for the last management team won't affect the football budget Miller confirmed that Brown and Knox (who were in attendance) have total control over signings and anything to do with the first team; Hoping to make a couple of signings in January I got stuck in the snow on my way back Anyway, on to the best quote of the evening. Hugh Little had to take over the proceedings during the re-election of Milne. He confirmed that Brown and Knox both spoke to Fergie before accepting the job at Aberdeen. And to quote Fergie directly, he told Craig Brown that "You won't find a better chairman in British Football!". Presumably it was Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas!?
  3. I can confirm it's tea, coffee and shortbread! More people here than I expected.
  4. Just got an email from the club - AGM is still on!
  5. I agree but my O/P has been edited saying it's off.
  6. Where is the news coming from that it is off?
  7. Meeting's off: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/9302982.stm
  8. Compared to the rest of the list, Skovdahl wasn't that bad IMHO.
  9. Correct. I don't think we would come back up in my lifetime.
  10. New photos up: http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/20101217/new-stadium_2212158_2245456 It certainly looks the part.
  11. My street hasn't been gritted and I've been able to move my car for almost a week. I'm not sure I am going to make this tonight!
  12. Watched it when I got back from the cinema. Thought Stella might struggle as she seemed to pick all the odd balls but she deserved to win IMHO. Although she shouldn't have gotten personal on Chris in the boardroom.
  13. Would be good to play a specially voted for Rangers XI...
  14. There's a Q&A with the SPL's marketing and communications manager in today's SOS:
  15. Craig Gordon save if anyone hasn't seen it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5OwprpwnuE
  16. I voted Alex Miller, a real cunt of a man. McGhee would be second worst for me, then Aitken despite winning our last trophy.
  17. Clearly you've never heard of the haudagain roundabout
  18. Fill yer boots. We can add more names if anybody wants other names on the poll.
  19. Agreed on both points. It was a tremendous save.
  20. Anyone else going? I can't help but think that Milne will get a slightly easier ride now that he has changed the management team but we'll see what happens. Hopefully some news on the funding for the new stadium.
  21. Mad Friday anyone? We had out xmas night out last week, but going out tonight again to see folk make a cunt of themselves. I expect it won't be particularly mad in this weather.
  22. Byrne would walk straight into our team at the moment. such is our shortage of full backs.
  23. If anyone wants to voice their opinion on league reconstruction: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/scottishfootball
  24. Game's off. If I had the rights to alter the original post I would be able to change the subject of this thread.
