  1. As in there were fifteen protesters or that was their average age?
  2. Martin Buchan? Gordon Strachan? Jim Leighton? Steve Archibald? The list is endless.
  3. I think Renwick is from Glasgow.
  4. Liverpool 0-2 Blackpool HT
  5.
  6. I was at the game, very shambolic performance! Particularly at the back, again!! First goal was bizarre but Howard was caught out badly. Second goal was Diamonds fault. Sending off looked like a petulant kick or stamp? Either way it could be the end of Paton given how sparingly he's been used. We sort of played 433 but looked well short of ideas. It mostly all Caley who played pretty well and I noticed that Butcher is constantly on the touchhole speaking to his players, even when 2-0 up. First time I've seen Magennis. Utter pish, added nothing to the team other than making up the numbers.
  7. Nobody in their right mind can disagree with the above. I've been hunting about on Youtube recently trying to find some decent footage of Jess or Booth but there's not much around, particularly for Booth.
  8. You can't do that in a place of worship!
  9. Friday: Couple of pints Saturday: ICT v Aberdeen Sunday: Inverness 10K
  10. I know folk from Cove who are delighted that the Dons stadium might be on their doorstep.
  11. 150 objections doesn't sound like a lot to me.
  12. Aberdeen forward?
  13. Both good shouts. I'm surprised none of the younger fans have accused us all of being mad what with some of the names being compared, but the ECWC team were that good!
  14. Alan Shearer was a dirty cheating bastard.
  15. Black was an incredible header of a football, one of the best I've ever seen.
  16. Agree with the above. Can't think of anyone else to compare with for Weir. As for Puyol, he is a great tackler, but as you say does not have the same class as Miller had. Further up, I'm not sure about Strachan and Fabregas. Both are/were exciting players who drive/drove their teams forward, but Strachan was very much a winger in his days with us!? How about Aaron Lennon?
  17. +1 Sounds dreadful.
  18. I too thought of Van der Sar for Leighton. Couldn't really think of anyone else.

Snapper hits the back of the net: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-11443271 85 is a good innings for somebody who drank like a fish.
  20. Not sure if this will have legs, but... I was chatting to a younger Dons fan the other night and telling them about some of the players who won us the ECWC. I was explaining that McLeish was a very classy centre half and I was asked for comparisons with any players playing today. I suggested there was perhaps similarities to the likes of (Rio) Fedinand or Pique. Which got me thinking, who in world football today could we compare to some of the team who won us the ECWC? Jim Leighton Doug Rougvie Alex McLeish Willie Miller John McMaster Neale Cooper Gordon Strachan Neil Simpson Mark McGhee Eric Black Peter Weir John Hewitt Stuart Kennedy Bryan Gunn Andy Watson Ian Angus
  21. David Peace. I've read the Red Riding books, and The Damned United. Are any of his other books any good?
  22. £4.99 in JJB.
  23. Too many decent athletes have pulled out of this, which is a shame. Looks like it's going to be a farce for 10 days.
