  1. Has anyone done any long distance walks? I’ve done 3 and here is my tuppenceworth: West Highland Way - Milngavie to Ft William. Fantastic experience, loads of walkers, good craic in the stopovers, lots of facilities on route. Great scenery particularly in the second half - walking into Glencoe is a real highlight. Only real downside was the slog along the top half of Loch Lomond, scrambling over boulders. Great Glen Way - Ft William to Inverness. Nowhere near as busy and the first half (Ft William to Ft Augustus) really struggles for facilities (lunch stops, bars, toilets are very infrequent). Second half along the length of Loch Ness high up in the hills is stunning, a cracking experience with good stops in Invermoriston and Drum. Speyside Way - Buckie to Aviemore. Pish. Only interesting bit was the last leg from Grantown to Aviemore. The rest was dull as fuck IMHO. I really enjoyed WHW and GGW. Anyone recommend any of the other long distance routes.
  2. Big fan of Leighton. Great keeper, and excellent servant for club and country. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46411576 I don’t have a problem with his grievances over how his Man U career ended, however why moan about the 1983 cup final (for which Fergie apologised) and say “the damage was done” when he was quite happy to follow SAF to Man U?!
  3. In his day Dimbleby was brilliant at managing a debate. Looks like Fiona Bruce has got the gig.
  4. BBC saying “The win sets up a potential play-off at Hampden against Finland in March 2020 - with a possible final against Norway or Serbia.” Presumably in lieu of what you’ve said above Tom.
  5. Somebody said we’re playing Finland in playoffs?
  6. Informer. Best drama on BBC for god knows how long.
  7. What a pile of steaming shite. BT’s coverage has been really good. A sad day for Scottish fitba. Hopefully this drive to get as much money out of broadcasting rights as possible ends one day. This constant competition between all the broadcasters fucks me off and I’m not paying for multiple subscriptions to watch a few leagues and cups. Fuck Premier Sports.
  8. Agreed. Got to love a bit of Paddy Considine. Top actor.
  9. It looks like this could all unravel for May tonight/tomorrow. Heading for a GE and/or second referendum.
  10. “Gary Mackay-Steven has responded to criticism and shown he is as good as any winger in the Scottish Premiership, says Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes. Mackay-Steven's goal gave the Pittodrie side victory over Hibernian on Friday after what his manager described as a couple of "quiet" games. "I've not been too pleased with his performances," McInnes said. "We spoke about him working hard when he's not involved and it's not going his way. "His pace, his drive and his quality for the finish is what we expect from him. For me, when he reaches his levels, he's as good a wide player as we've got in the league."” He certainly seems to be coming on to a game.
  11. Yep. Max Lowe is a much better option than Considine.
  12. When did the disaster song NOT sound foolish?
  13. Nice one from GMS. Done very well last few games.
  14. First world problems....
  15. You were spot on Looks like some positive moves are taking place to get the southern section open. https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/news/local/fresh-talks-to-open-completed-stretch-of-aberdeen-bypass-positive-says-transport-secretary/
  16. Indeed. Far left is probably somewhere near the centre ground over in the UK.
  17. Quite like the BT coverage, was hoping they’d nab the lot.
  18. To help you save face. Plus I’m genuinely asking for evidence. You are Sean Spicer and I claim my five pounds.
  19. I'll remind you again soon. Hopefully you can find some evidence one day.
  20. Poles apart on policy from Hillary. Warren is more like Sanders.
  21. Any word on when you will back this up with some evidence?
  22. Celtic only apologised for the Boys Club victims recently because they came under real pressure to do so. Neither club is more horrible than the other IMHO. They're both dispicable, and a stain on Scotland.
  23. Something similar happened in the UK. A dead guy was elected MP or councillor, quite a few years ago now.
  24. Beto lost his senate battle so I don’t know if that means he’s blown his 2020 chances or not. I’d like to see Elizabeth Warren as the Dems candidate against Trump. She has some baggage but I like the cut of her jib.
  25. Here here. Both utterly horrible clubs.
