  1. 3 years according to the BBC: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/a/aberdeen/7186743.stm
  2. Which makes it all the more remarkable that we finished 3rd and 4th in the SPL, two CUP semi finals, and the last 32 of the UEFA cup.
  3. I was joking!
  4. We've been playing 4-4-2 for weeks now. But I agree on Seve, apart from him adding more bite to midfield, the competition for places in central midfield might give Kerr the kick up the backside he needs. I personally don't see the point in replacing the manager after 6 games. Any new manager coming in now will only be polishing the same turd. Why not see if Calderwood can turn it round? If he can't, then get somebody in before the January transfer window.
  5. Scottish Cup starts in January if that's of any comfort to you!
  6. Somebody with no managerial experience is exactly what we're needing.
  7. Mizer hasn't posted it up so here you go. Wasn't at the game so I'm abstaining.
  8. Its a reasonable point though. While it may be the time for a new manager, it would be quite expensive to sack him unless they could come to a "mutual agreement". Calderwood will probably get until xmas. If we're still struggling badly then fan pressure, low crowds etc... would force the board to act. Personally speaking, I hope it doesn't come to that though.
  9. Thanks for the good summing up BigAl, but come on, things can't be that bad...
  10. I listened to it on the radio, and Richard Gordon called it as a penalty straight away, before the linesman intervened.
  11. Indeed, but we're still having to sign players "because it never affected the budget"
  12. That was what I was saying, but it sounds like there's something wrong at international level if they end up at Peterhead a year later.
  13. So which is the bigger problem, JC signing somebody due to their wage demands being very small, or that the manager of the 3rd biggest club in Scotland is having to work with pittance due to 10+ years of financial mis-management of the club?
  14. or © shouldn't have been brought into the AFC youth setup full stop.
  15. Most/all of these players are now playing in lower leagues (e.g. Peterhead, Montrose).
  16. I alluded to this in another thread, I'd be amazed if Leighton did not have some sort of say in the signing of Bossu. I've only seen Bossu once (Man U game) and I thought he was quite good (in comparison with Langfield anyway), but he's obviously not by the sounds of things.
  17. Would Leighton have had any say in the signing of Bossu?
  18. Nobody if we're paying off Calderwood's 3 year contract. Eric Black for me.
  19. I agree. But its the same Lee Mair that was getting absolute pelters from some sections of the support at the start of this season.
  20. 9 points has to be the target for these 4 games. I would give him until the Kilmarnock game to see if he can turn it round.
  21. Mackie didn't start on Saturday. I think Calderwood (rightly or wrongly) always plays his 2nd choice keeper in the earlier rounds of the CIS cup. And by all account the whole back 5 were appalling tonight, not just the keeper.
  22. Indeed he has. A mass clear out is needed from top to bottom but as that will never happen, probably time to change the manager. 3 year contract could prove a problem though. I think he'll get a few games to try and turn it round though. Xmas at the latest.
