Its a reasonable point though. While it may be the time for a new manager, it would be quite expensive to sack him unless they could come to a "mutual agreement". Calderwood will probably get until xmas. If we're still struggling badly then fan pressure, low crowds etc... would force the board to act. Personally speaking, I hope it doesn't come to that though.

Most/all of these players are now playing in lower leagues (e.g. Peterhead, Montrose).

I alluded to this in another thread, I'd be amazed if Leighton did not have some sort of say in the signing of Bossu. I've only seen Bossu once (Man U game) and I thought he was quite good (in comparison with Langfield anyway), but he's obviously not by the sounds of things.

Mackie didn't start on Saturday. I think Calderwood (rightly or wrongly) always plays his 2nd choice keeper in the earlier rounds of the CIS cup. And by all account the whole back 5 were appalling tonight, not just the keeper.

Indeed he has. A mass clear out is needed from top to bottom but as that will never happen, probably time to change the manager. 3 year contract could prove a problem though. I think he'll get a few games to try and turn it round though. Xmas at the latest.
