  3. Just finished reading "Touching from a distance" by Deborah Curtis. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Touching-Distance-Deborah-Curtis/dp/0571239560/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1207210653&sr=8-1 What a sad, depressing story but very well written and thoroughly engrossing. It seemed a very honest account of her life with Ian Curtis and it didn't come across as bitchy or that she had any bridges to burn. I knew Ian had epilepsy but didn't realise it was so bad, at one point he was having up to 4 attacks per night. She was basically looking after him and their child single handedly until he went and had his affair. Obviously the book is one side of the story but Deborah did not have a good time of it and its easy to feel a lot of sympathy for her. Ian wasn't painted in a particularly good light but perhaps this was the real Ian. The book also includes a complete gig history (Joy Division played Aberdeen!) and all the lyrics. Got the book free with the Control DVD!
  4. I think you've answered your own question there!
  5. The one when Lee Miller holds it up for you first?

  9. Aye, 24th, day before the Aberdeen Baker Hughes 10K which I'm entered in to.
  10. Is that an ultra wide TV on the left?
  11. I think somebody needs to clarify the meaning of "mediocrity". This season has been extremely inconsistent but to describe it as mediocre compared to the last 7 or 8 years is just nonsense IMHO. If we reach the last 32 of the UEFA cup, and two domestic semi finals for next 3 or 4 years, and that's mediocre, then I'll accept that. I personally think this is where we should be each season, as we've not had it like this for a while. Small steps and all that.
  12. Lets hope you get a migraine in Seal Clubber Country!
  13. I've just finished reading "Great Expectations". It wasn't all I hoped it would be.

  17. I'm not sure what the situation is but can the club do anything other than comply with Setanta/The SPL?

  19. Lee Wilkie? To hell with that. Lee Miller - one of the first names on the team sheet, will be a huge loss Steve Lovell - the Messiah Sone Aluko - can frustrate and excite at the same time, lots of quality though Josh Walker - hard working solid midfielder Jamie Smith - one of our star players, when fit Barry Nicholson - will be a huge loss Karim Touzani - finally getting a chance to show what he's capable off Jeffrey De Visscher - is improving Alan Maybury - best signing for a while
  20. What's all this Red Ultras shite? I see they are getting a hard time again. Pittodrie would be a morgue without them.
