  1. What exactly are his strengths? He's missed a fair amount of sitters this season, some of which had it been Mackie, he would have been hung, drawn and quartered by large sections of our support.
  2. Won the corner for our goal, but that was about it.
  3. I think we started 4-4-2 but then attempted to play 4-5-1 counter attack after we scored, but we should have just played 4-4-2. Its the only formation an Aberdeen team know how to play.
  4. When does his suspension kick in and how long is he suspended for? Should be an opportunity (on paper anyway) to see somebody else play up front.
  5. Front page of the EE is "Night of Shame".
  6. You're not going to the cup quarter final then?
  7. I'm convinced he should be spoken to by the police, and possibly cautioned. He was a complete prick and nearly started a riot, twice! Not condoning the behaviour of some our fans, but it was caused by their keeper.
  8. Just wondering what the thoughts are on this forum. Me, I'd give him until the end of the season.
  9. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_cups/7230007.stm No doubt we'll get dragged through the gutter, whether rightly or wrong.
  10. My tuppence worth: Calderwood - tactics wrong, why not stick with 2 up front? Langfield - possibly his worst performance in a Dons top Walker - not a shadow of his performance on Saturday but still probably our best performer last night Considine/Foster - should be punted down to the reserves, they have been awful this season Aluko - I think we've seen the best of him already. His shirking out of a challenge with the keeper last night was appauling Nicholson - should be benched. He's not playing well since confirming he hasn't/won't sign a contract Diamond - need to hope him and Bus can form a partnership and it will help some of the other positions further forward Ref - totally inept performance, especially in the first half. Free kick that led to their first goal should have been a free kick to us. Although Miller's first booking appeared to be for something he said, it was never a foul in the first place DUFC fans - a disgrace for pelting Langfield who I'm sure did nothing to warrant it DUFC keeper - would like to see him cautioned by the police for near inciting a riot Our fans - as usual we cannot avoid rising to the bait, some of our fans were a disgrace and I was worried some were going on the pitch to take on the keeper Stewards/police - an absolute disgrace at both ends of the pitch All in all a complete shambles of an evening, on many fronts. However, there are bound to be some knee jerk reactions calling for Calderwood's head. IMHO he must be given to the end of the season to see if he can somehow salvage anything - either a Scottish cup final or qualifying for Europe in the league. If not the questions, should be asked in the summer, not now when we still have some very important games coming up. The players and the management and some of the fans let the club down last night! STAND FREE!
  11. Today's EE:
  12. A ginger from Peterhead?
  13. Just to confirm the Dons did try to sign Hammell:
  14. Aberdeen midfielder Jamie Smith will miss the CIS Insurance Cup semi-final with a hamstring injury. Richie Byrne has a similar problem and fellow defender Stuart Duff is ineligible to face his former club. Dundee United have lost keeper Grzegorz Szamotulski and skipper Barry Robson since the tie was postponed last week. Jim O'Brien, Danny Swanson and Danny Grainger are cup-tied and Mark de Vries lacks match fitness, although the new striker may be risked from the start. Noel Hunt, Willo Flood and Sean Dillon will all undergo late fitness tests for Craig Levein's side. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_cups/7226724.stm
  15. Evening Express! Top quality journalism at its best!
  16. Paul Mason, what a legend. I was in the club shop at lunchtime today (the Bayern mugs that they are selling are good!) and there was hardly any queue in the ticket office.
  17. I hear Barry was in one of the Sunday papers hinting that he would be off in the summer. Don't know which paper.
  18. Aye bring them on. We are due a result against them.
  19. Weather in Aberdeen fine, but cold.
  20. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7221837.stm Nobody has Keith Floyd then. The man's a legend, lets hope its not too serious.
  21. Thought he was a free agent, but we've signed him on loan!?

  24. Thursday, 31 Jan 2008 The Committee found that Brechin City had breached the Cup Competition Rules by fielding two ineligible players, William Dyer and Michael Paton. As a consequence of this breach, the Committee decided that Brechin City be removed from this season's Scottish Cup Competition. The outcome of today's meeting supercedes the outcome of yesterday's meeting. http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/news.cfm?newsid=3582
