Inverness 4 - 1 Aberdeen FT
An experienced Inverness side proved too strong for the young Dons this afternoon, with the game virtually over at half-time as the Dons found themselves 4-0 down.
It took the home side only four minutes to take the lead when Graham Bayne opened the scoring. Bayne went on to complete a first half hat-trick with goals after 23 and 29 minutes, with former Don Dennis Wyness completing the scoring.
Aberdeen's best chance of the first half fell to Chris Maguire, but the striker could only fire over from the edge of the area.
David Ross replaced Peter Pawlett at half-time, and it was Ross who grabbed Aberdeen's only goal. Ross finished well on the hour mark to give the Dons a slight consolation, on what was a disappointing afternoon for Sandy Clark's men.
