  1. So what's the story here? Can you make transfers whenever you like?
  2. Just in. Very poor stuff. We were probably the better team but only started creating chances when we went 1-0 down. I don't think our disallowed goal was offside, it was right in front of where I sit. Awful mistake from Duff for the goal. Seve and Young both off injured in the first half. JC made the mistake (in my opinion) of bringing Maguire on for Young and moving Smith to wide left. Maguire is far too lightweight against Hearts' physical defence. Mackie or Lovell would have been by far better options. Ref didn't help, Hearts were getting away with some very physical challenges. JDV, Zander and Miller probably our best performers but it was just so disappointing after Tuesday.
  3. The same Jeremy Beadle that's seriously ill with pneumonia in hospital?
  4. 45 minutes or 90 for you the morn?
  5. Slight delay in his move after results of the MRI scan. Could be out for 6 weeks, Preston to re-negotiate the fee. http://www.pnefc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10362~1224721,00.html
  6. You mean... ?
  7. Number 11: http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Squad/firstTeam/0,,10284,00.html
  8. I thought that too, but I can't find the article.
  9. http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/clubNewsDetail/0,,10284~1224069,00.html Not clear whether he's signed a loan deal or permanent terms with Dons until end of season.
  10. Season ticket - £240 Dons top - £40 Dnipro - £21 ICT CIS Cup - £21 (£10.50) Locomotiv Moscow - £21 Copenhagen - £21 Falkirk Scottish Cup - £15 (£7.50) Dundee Utd CIS Cup - £20 (£10) Bayern - £28 Total: £399 Also went to Madrid and going to Munich. Expensive season but wouldn't have it any other way! EDIT: removed Partick away game.
  11. Peter Weir is one of our youth scout's in the central belt. Recently helped sign some school boy from under the noses of the old firm. I'm sure we have other scouts elsewhere. Was Jim Bett not scouting for us?
  12. Oh come on. Where would we be if we didn't have a sense of humour? Germany?
  13. Inverness 4 - 1 Aberdeen FT An experienced Inverness side proved too strong for the young Dons this afternoon, with the game virtually over at half-time as the Dons found themselves 4-0 down. It took the home side only four minutes to take the lead when Graham Bayne opened the scoring. Bayne went on to complete a first half hat-trick with goals after 23 and 29 minutes, with former Don Dennis Wyness completing the scoring. Aberdeen's best chance of the first half fell to Chris Maguire, but the striker could only fire over from the edge of the area. David Ross replaced Peter Pawlett at half-time, and it was Ross who grabbed Aberdeen's only goal. Ross finished well on the hour mark to give the Dons a slight consolation, on what was a disappointing afternoon for Sandy Clark's men. Aberdeen: Soutar, McVitie, Dan Smith, Duff, Skinner, Crawford, Pawlett (David Ross), Jonathan Smith, Maguire, Aluko (Carroll), Stuart Smith Subs not used: Lamberty, Nicky Clark, Scott Ross, Callum McRobbie, Bamba, Bateman
  14. I voted for central defence, but I believe it will be a temporary measure. Bus and Diamond may be the new centre half partnership. If Nicholson doesn't stay then we'll need Seve in midfield. He definitely brings some calmness and composure to the back line though.
  15. If this was BNP-Chat you run the risk of getting a public knuckle-wrapping for being constantly too negative. http://www.afc-chat.co.uk/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=12187&view=findpost&p=213626
  16. Would be a good signing. EE confirms he's on trial with a view to signing until the end of the season. His mother is Irish so no issues work permit wise. Top scorer for Notre Dame 4 seasons in a row. Recommended by Bobby Clark! Dave Bus expected to sign today. Once he's passed his medical he'll sign on loan until the end of the season.
  17. De Visscher gave some comments about Bus when he came on trial. http://www.thisisaberdeen.co.uk/displayNode.jsp?nodeId=148309&command=displayContent&sourceNode=148302&contentPK=19471346&folderPk=85371&pNodeId=148325
  18. He's not even signed yet and already we're suggesting he's not going to get a game? Stats look good to me, and he was De Grafts player of the year two seasons ago.
  19. If he signs, lets give the boy a chance.
  20. My mate used to live above a gay bloke and the floorboards weren't particularly thick. One night, after a particularly noisy session from downstairs, with lots of hammering and banging sounds, it went quiet, and a voice could be heard saying "Are you okay Alan?".
  21. I personally treat any article that includes the words "By Charlie Allan" with high suspicion and contempt. This could well be more sensationalist rubbish from the fat cretin. None of the quotes attributed to JC in the article include the words "Steve" or "Lovell" so I'm taking it with a pinch of salt. In any case, if JC wants to get rid of Lovell then slagging off his performance is hardly going to attract new suitors. So I can only assume its an attempt to get him to pull his finger out which has been spun by the fat ex-postie. As usual!
  22. Aye but it seems to work for Dundee Utd.
