  1. Are you Stoney from BNP-Chat?
  2. http://www.scotland.gov.uk/News/Releases/2005/06/10143649 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aberdeen_Crossrail Not been talked about for a couple of years, but notice they were talking about extra stops on the Stonehaven route so who knows, this might all be back up for discussion again.
  3. They are talking about it, but it was in the opposite direction from Cove. Perhaps they will include the community stadium in future discussions about this.
  4. I expect attendances to go up. They normally do when a new stadium is built. Yes, its going to be a bit awkward for city centre fans to get to but as Slim says, by the time its built the infrastructure should be in place to make it easier. I can definitely see more people with cars wanting to go to the new stadium, because it will be easier to get to, and to park at. Plenty of time to put some bars/restaurants nearby as well. Just think its a pity the train line is on the other side of Cove. But on the whole the announcement is a very positive one. Hope we see the new stadium and AWPR as promised!
  5. If its anything like Inverness, pubs will put on free buses to take you to/from games in order to get you to drink in their pubs before and after games.
  6. A good 4-5 years to build some pubs and decent transport links from the city centre!
  7. I tend to agree with JC's assessment of Miller's performance on Saturday.
  8. EDIT: Duncan Fraser answered these questions.
  9. Where the fuck are these fans when we're playing Hibs and Killie?
  10. ONLY 200 TICKETS LEFT FOR DONS' UEFA CLASH 12:00 - 12 December 2007 The final 200 tickets for Aberdeen's UEFA Cup clash with FC Copenhagen are on sale today. They were expected to be snapped up by close of business to guarantee a capacity 21,000 crowd for the Pittodrie clash, which takes place a week on Thursday. All tickets for the Richard Donald and South Stands have been sold. The few that are left are for the Merkland Stand and restricted view seats in the Main Stand. Copenhagen have also been allocated 500 tickets for their supporters who will be housed in Section A of the Main Stand.
  11. I would suggest they look into a train station in Cove for those travelling from the city centre. Apart from that it sounds perfect for away fans and those travelling from outwith Aberdeen if/when the AWPR is complete.
  12. Aye. http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/lotteryDetail/0,,10284~982247,00.html Been doing it for years. Won a few tenners, and one £100.
  13. Unless its all about money (which it usually is) surely the opportunity to play in the last 32 of the UEFA cup is a bigger carrot then Plymouth.
  14. Can't say I'm losing any sleep over this. Don't mind the Dons for trying and don't mind Motherwell for saying no. Life goes on. Don't mind JC if rests some players for this game (Copenhagen game is MASSIVE). We have done quite well this season when our so-called fringe players have started (e.g. DUFC game).
  15. Aye. On official Motherwell website now. http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10292~1187740,00.html
  16. Indeed. Doesn't matte how well we are doing, there are always some fans whose pints are half empty, and that goes for all clubs.
  17. Today its all doom and gloom again. Either some seriously deluded folk on that site, or people are constantly fishing with the negative remarks all the time.
  18. From this morning's P&J. Not clear whether this is an editorial statement or who it is that is asking for the postponement of the Motherwell game...
  19. Scotland on Sunday is linking us with John Hughes should JC not renew his contract.
  20. Great result, and some other results going our way! We were a different team in the 2nd half with Clark moved from central midfield. Two games in a row we've come from behind; we don't do that very often! 3rd is definitely do-able. This is turning into quite an exciting season...
  21. Me too! Folk that don't have tickets shouldn't be complaining about the ticketlines, as they've been on sale for ages.
  22. Fair enough, I'll hold my hand up, I didn't realise we had that many fans that lived closer to Madrid than Aberdeen.
