Murray is fair dragging the arse out of the French Open so far
  2. A reasonably interesting night north of the border. I'll never vote Tory but clearly some are seeing them as the only alternative to the SNP at the moment. Total shambles for Labour. And with SNP losing their overall majority perhaps that's a wake up call for them. The focus should be on their record in government and not a second independence referendum of which too much is made (by all parties).
  3. Very sad. What was the cause of death? I'm sure I saw him on Union Street only a few days ago. Didn't he get mugged or something a few years ago? I seem to recall this.
  4. Bit too cutting edge for you.
  5. Same day as Baker Hughes 10k (9.30am start) but it normally takes the organiers most of the day to get the beach back to normal.
  6. It's nothing other than the bigot derby to the rest of us. #scotlandsshame
  7. McGinn must have had his mind on the job that day
  8. They have a bit of momentum now so it could be pretty close for the bottom spot now. Although I'd miss the arabs if they went down I still think it would be hilarious, mainly because I knew a few arab fans. Fuck 'em.
  9. What a farce the "sport" is turning into. They can't even agree on a qualifying format. It's a long long way from what it was when I was growing up. I think the exclusive move to Sky in 2019 may well just kill it off in terms of audience. The sport will be lost to a whole generation IMHO.
  10. Conte has barely been announced and Chris Sutton is already putting the boot in! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35965091 Although it would be funny if they did down tools!
  11. I'm not going, but agreed the line up looks great (aside from the headliners) - plenty of great stuff in there.
  12. Jesus Wept. Your record collection must be worth pennies.
  13. The BBC should not be mentioned in the same way as Murdoch IMHO. Investigative journalism at the BBC (and the Guardian) is heads and shoulders above anything Murdoch's output does. Plus, the Government are trying to destroy the BBC, but obviously are not doing the same to Murdoch's empire.
  14. Thoroughly enjoyed Trapped on BBC4.
  15. That's brilliant Al. I thought the wee man was great, and it's been good reliving some of the classic clips today. By all accounts a thoroughly decent bloke. His appearance in Extras was brilliant. Speaking of Extras - that's Bowie and Corbett now, is this the Gervais curse?!
  16. Is that not the Guardian that put those graphs in? Or did they come from the BBC inquiry?
  17. Good luck suing them Tony!
  18. Steve Mason - Meet The Humans
  19. Is this still on TV?
  20. Tony Blackburn punted by the BBC in light of upcoming BBC findings on the Saville enquiry.
  21. Not been to Byron yet but I'm obviously in the minority regarding Handmade burger - never had a poor burger there. And ordering chips separately cannae be too onerous surely?!
  22. He was no world beater but a great servant to the club, and a better player than many centre halves that we have seen since. He lives across the road from my parents and I can confirm that sadly he does have some personal problems.
  23. I'm struggling with this. Surely they'd have to move the away support if they move the family section into the lower deck?
  24. Apart from Simon Church of course.

I feel you may be being a tad harsh, I thought he played well in sets 2 and 3 and seemed to be serving the better. During the long rallys however he seemed to be the one who ran out of patience first, which was very frustrating. Djokovic is like a robot, no wonder he has the neutrals supporting his opponents.
