  1. Preferred the Nike strips TBH be honest.
  2. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22568870 Finally somebody bucking the trend to point out that Beckham was not a great, although the "not in the top 1,000 Premier League players" is surely a tad harsh. I'm sure he'd make it into a top 1,000!
  3. Great news, however: Disappointing comment IMHO. What about a new top class keeper?
  4. So I see the SNP are falling over themselves to criticise Farage's comments about the abuse he received last night. It's a free world, people are entitled to express their opinions but would it surprise anyone if the abuse he received was in some way bigoted and racial? (even though that seems to be what UKIP largely stand for themselves)
  5. Just watched it. Brilliant stuff, especially from SAF They should release it as a DVD, I'd happily own it.
  6. Chelsea is a horrible club though. I doubt they will but they could do a lot worse than keep Rafa, he has done a great job considering the pressure he's been under from the fans.
  7. Only a matter of time before the cast of Rainbow get a knock on the door from Operation Yewtree.
  8. Were the results of the poll published?
  9. I was lying by a pool in Mallorca when I heard this news, it seemed to come out of the blue as I wasn't aware of the rumours gathering pace. Good luck to him, the greatest manager that has ever lived. However, I thought Willie Miller was god?
  10. Read three books while on holiday in Alcudia: David Walsh - Seven Deadly Sins http://www.amazon.co.uk/Seven-Deadly-Sins-Pursuit-Armstrong/dp/1471127532 Fascinating account by the journalist David Walsh and his pursuit of the truth behind Lance Armstrong's Tour De France wins. He was on to him straight away in 1999 and I thought the book was an excellent read, and a real eye opener. Victoria Pendleton - Between the Lines http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0007327528 Nothing ground breaking but a decent read. John Niven - The Second Coming http://www.amazon.co.uk/Second-Coming-John-Niven/dp/0099535521 If you want to read a very funny book ripping the piss out of religion and the X Factor-culture then this is it. Some of it was genuine LOL stuff. I can't imagine what those numpties who were up in arms at Life of Brian would make of it.

  15. Why the desperate push for league reconstruction next season? Is something going to be rushed through and poorly thought out? Heaven forbid!
  16. With Bill Roach, Rolf Harris, Stuart Hall, Jim Davidson and Freddie Starr - you have to admit, the prison panto is looking rather good this year!
  17. Certainly won't be looking back fondly on It's a Knockout any more Disappointing stuff.
  18. A few Dons in here... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22373839
  19. You've got to wonder why lots of these allegations against famous people are coming to light now. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-22366981
