  1. It's harsh on McCall, I thought he had done enough. This is a bit of a gamble by the Huns if you ask me. It's going to be interesting to see what kindfof player they are able to attract.
  2. Works have taken the draw before the game, Ireland had to win we didn't End of
  3. David Raven is more than capable rb but he's 30 now, couldn't see DM going for him 2bh. It's probably likely any replacement will be in the Logan mould i.e. a young player we have never heard off from the english lower leagues.
  4. Bolton would be a good fit for him it has to be said. Right location, better money and good chance of getting regular games in better league with a potential challenger for promotion at some point. Considering his circumstance I would be surprised if that didn't turn his head. So say Bolton's interest is for real and he goes who are we all thinking could be a feasible replacement?
  5. I imagine that would be an appealing move for Logan, 150k is laughable though. Still, only a year left on his deal if memory serves? 500k would probably be the most wet would get if so
  6. Weirdo ;-)
  7. All fair points Tom, given they didn't even bid in tnt first place it's probablya non starter anyway
  8. Italy being a fairly major european country where football is the no 1 sport I would think the infastructure is already in place to host big tournaments. Stadia wise http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_football_stadiums_in_Italy They have quite a few 40k + size stadiums but how many of them meet all fifa's other criteria I don't know. It could be a case of only a few having to be modified and, if so, they wouldn't have to worry about building any stadia. In that case 3 years could be plenty of time. Of course there are a lot of if's there but having the 80k San Siro already would be a big asset in the event that they decided to bid.
  9. If 2018 were to put somewhere else it surely cant be France given will be hosting the euro's in 2016. Germany had the world cup in 2006 so that would put a lot of noises out of joint as well. For a nation that's not had it in a while and is capable of stepping in at short notice the first country that springs to mind is Italy. Not hosted a tournament since 1990 and they have plenty top drawer stadia to boot. That's not to say they would be inclined to bid considering the nations recent financial difficulties but if they were Italy would be my preference. Australia could be really interesting but it would be well expensive to get there from virtually everywhere.
  10. Particularly in odd number years when there is no International tournament to take the edge off. What do y'all do to fill the football shaped hole in your life? Formula one is a half cup of methadone every two weeks for me and I do love the darts but it's not the same. Festivals have become so bloody expensive and they are not as much fun when you don't have the twenty odd folk to go with because now everyone has a family. As such the summer has become a bit of a barren wasteland of boredom. hurumpf
  11. I think tv does come into it, viewing figures for mls epl A's la liga are up too
  12. Yeah it's great news manc, it sounds like it will be a facility to rival anything in Scotland. Far cry from the players training on the dog shit and weirdo laden seaton park
  13. i thought we were alright in the first half. I don't read too much into friendly's, it was a warm up game at the end of the day. I can't quite believe i'm saying this but i really hope the English stuff the Irish, there's nothing friendly about that game and could do with the republic and their fans being a bit demoralised
  14. There can be no denying that it has taken off in the states, 3rd most watched sport now apparently.
  15. Watkins having a medical at Barnsley apparently
  16. What did you see off Brown at Cheltenham Baggy? I went onto a CTFC forum when we signed him and they all seemed pretty gutted he was going but he's not exactly set the heather alight at Pittodrie. Was he better at Cheltenham or was it just the standard was lower in their division?
  17. From nowhere near as reliable a source I've heard it mentioned we might be in for Draper as well. Can't see it myself
  18. Exactly. I've said before that there is a good chance DM will be the hun manager at some point in his career but I highly doubt he will join from us. That said we had better get used to other clubs casting envious eyes toward the our manager. Lets face it, if we perform better than we did last season next season his stock will rise further and he will likely be poached. Given what he would have to do to better last season that will likely be from a decent size club down south. Put it this way I would be far more concerned if WBA were expressing an interest. It's sad to admit but if he is still AFC manager this time two years from now I will be quite surprised.
  19. There's a rumour going around that he fell off the wagon after losing his seat but I have no idea on the accuracy. Genuinely gutted by this, Charlie Kennedy was a one of the good guys. I never had the pleasure to meet him but my ex did on many occasions professionally. She worked in a hospital where a family member of his was residing and she said he was a very down to earth guy under very trying circumstances. RIP Charlie, you will be sorely missed.
  20. According to a source close to ICT we have offered terms to Marley Watkins
  21. Player losing his pace by 29 strikes me as suspicious....
  22. What my county supporting pal thinks. "He's a full back who has lost his pace which is why he now plays in the centre... good header and will score you goals from set pieces but he'll also make a mistake which will cost you a goal every 2/3 games from what I've seen..."
  23. How old is he al? I thought be looked useful enough tonight it has to be said
