  1. out somewhere in amsterdam somewhere in amsterdam somewhere in amsterdam 2-0 Aberdeen Goodwillie, he's gotta get a goal sometime...
  2. I see it like this. We can win the league, we have everything going for us. Great manager, unified team that is fast becoming (but not yet become) greater than the sum of it's parts (though it's not far away) and most importantly a winning no fear mentality. We have, at the moment, something that no non O/F side has had since mad vlad sacked burley. A fighting chance. A couple of wise recruitments in January and we are well on our way. For the record I punted on us for the title in July, got 25/1, and whilst it was an optimistic punt I didn't think we would be too far away if it didn't come in. Consider this. Atletico won la liga and got to the CL final with resources dwarfed by madrid and barca. Montpellier did the same in Ligue 1 a few years back. A lot of commentators and their own supporters would have said no chance about their chances at this stage of their respective seasons. Statistical probability states that the O/F cannot win the league forever more, why not us this year?
  3. I've been to pretty much every league game we have played at ICT. It's a tough venue and I can only recall one easy game there. We did well to get the points today, it wasn't pretty but any win at the dump is a good win. They were unlucky to hit the bar and you could argue they were with a point. I would argue though, Inverness made the game scrappy just like the cup final. Pawlett showed class and we won because of it. Some finish
  4. In (this is a home game for me) Flat then pub Behind the goal Pub 3-0 dons, goodwillie, Rooney, mcginn Hard not to fancy us, overall we have a good record against ict and whilst I think they will give us a game they will attack us at home and we are lethal on the counter
  5. Yeah the Andrew factor is a big one. At the very least I would think Shinnie will want to hear what we have to say. Every man and his dog can see that Aberdeen and shinnie are a really good match. The position would be his with little animosity as well as Considine prefers the centre anyway so he would be walking into a winning team that plays in a manner well suited to his game. Add in the Mcinnes clearly being an exceptional manager factor and the long term plans for the club we must be a very attractive opportunity for him. It's whether we are attractive enough....... Of course there are other lb's in the world but I have a good feeling about shinne. I think he might well pick us over Birmingham.
  6. I get where folk are coming from about the lack of goals but 9 assists is nothing to be sniffed at. The frontline moves around a lot and DG often finds himself wide left. His touch his excellent and he creates a lot of space for those around him with his ability to keep the ball whilst under pressure from multiple defenders. He can pick a pass too! In short I like him, he has a bit of guile about him that we've not seen for a long time from an Aberdeen player. No question that he needs a goal but I suspect he might go on a bit of a run when he does. It's a total no brainer that we should keep him, in my opinion at least.
  7. Tomorrow will be hectic so thought I would put this up now Hope all you donstalkers have a wonderful Christmas day with your familes/loved ones etc and that you have all asked Santa for 3 points on Sunday. Stand Free
  8. One big plus point for us is already having Hayes and Rooney at the club. I know a guy that knows Rooney from his time at ict and apparently Hayes encouragement was a big influence on Rooney coming to us. I would be very surprised if those two were not giving a very positive message about life under dm and at pittodrie in general to shinnie. Given out current form and the fact he would walk straight into the team I think we must be favorites to get him.
  9. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! ;D ;D ;D ;D Happy Fucking Days! Well done AFC, you have had me pulling my hair out for years with your inability to tie down players. I was starting to get a little worried that Mcginn might be getting sniffed around. I wish Jack was also getting a new deal as his contracts up in a year and a half. I've been supporting Aberdeen since the early 90's and this is without a doubt the best times I have known, we could well be at the start of a golden era for the club. Now if we could just get Shinnie of ICT in january.....
  10. Yeah he's worth keeping but really hope shankland isn't going to do one as a result.
  11. DeLighted by this result, really keeps the league open for both Utd and Aberdeen
  12. In Main Back to Inverness 4 0 Rooney, goodie, mcginn ,jack
  13. And what the fuck is the point of a 3500 word report if no one can read it
  14. He's a fucking idiot. He could have just walked with no pay off, and, as such, no confidentiality agreement. He could then have written a whistle blowing book about his perspective on sevco the past few years, made a fortune and kept his hun cunt rep
  15. Extended highlights on alba tonight at ten pm
  16. Elementary I must confess, I have always had a bit of a thing about Lucy Lui. Combined with a real love of Sherlock Holmes I decided to give this series a try despite some questionable aspects. It took a couple of episodes to find it's feet but when it did it went to marathon running really quickly. Johnny Lee Miller has been given really good material to work with and, combined with more opportunity (22 episode per series as opposed to only 9 episodes), as such, has created a Sherlock Holmes with significantly more depth than Cumberpatch's effort in BBC's Sherlock (also a show I have a lot of love for I might add). Any fan of Sherlock should give Elementary a watch.
  17. Anyone else think Considine actually looked like a LB today?
  18. We were really good today and 2 - 0 hides how comprehensive it really was. Utd had a 5 minute spell in the first half where the came into it but overall we were miles ahead of them in every depa rtment.
  19. 1 down to qots, they are laughably bad. I really wish the matchday announcer would play walk away by cast
  20. Hmmmmmm the article on the beeb says that he has offered to walk but it's yet to accepted and he's still expected be charge tonight. It also says he would be due a settlement, I was under the impression that a voluntary resignation meant you got no pay off. I wonder if the board is going to reject his resignation, the fans then lay off fat sally and the board takes his flak instead for not accepting

    Formula One

I used to hate Hamilton but he's really grown on me as he's got older. He's some racer too. My favourite driver is Kimi though, he da man! Glad button has got a seat for next season, comes across as a lovely bloke
  22. I'm sceptical large numbers would but you may get some of the younger ones, say kids at an upper age of 12-13 when this all kicked off a few years ago, that may decide to start going to watch their local team. Yeah Karma is a bitch BB, the we don't do walking away slogan has become quite the rod for their backs now. Watching this insidious institution crumble apart has been one of the most satisfying sights of my life. I highly doubt any ex rangers fan would decide to start supporting Aberdeen given the animosity between the clubs Manc. It's the more regional teams like ICT, Kilmarnock, ST J that may pick up a few
