  1. I dont have an issue with brown taking experience in to tutor the youth to be fair
  2. Ah that old chesnut, you almost get nostalgic about speculation of rae coming to aberdeen. Not comvinced hes the killer ball playing midfielder we need at the moment. He would have good legs around him though if he did sign
  3. I remember thinking during the world cup that some of those nz boys could probably do a job for us. Would certainly have chris killen if offered
  4. Aye wouldnt that be nice! I'vr been impressed by imrie every time i've seen him. He's ran us ragged several times
  5. Ok so thank fuck the season is over and we can really start to look to next season. Theres clearly going to be a change in personell so realistically which players do YOU think we should be signing or at least approaching. I'm interested in imrie and cerny at hamilton, possibly neil as well but would need assurances about fitness. Rooneys contract is up at ict and would have him in a second. Scott boyd at county could be worth taking in for the defence but given there would be a fee involved i doubt it will happen. Would really like stevie smith but norwich would have to release him for this to happen. Another f/b that can play either side would def be advisable though. More than anything we need someone with a bit of guile in midfield. Who this is though i have no idea....... Overall i think the minumum we need is a goalie, 2 fullbacks, 1 centre half, 1 attacking midfielder, 1 wide player and 1 striker Minimum
  6. If i was a hammer i would question why zola was shown the door
  7. Jessica fletcher if you ask me
  8. Fail! That is all
  9. Im so glad there is only 45 minutes till 2010/11 season is over. I would actuallu go as far to say that this has been my least favourite season as a dons fan. So few positives, all i can think of is ryan jack, rob milsom, scott vernon and getting pa broon and archie
  10. Exactly, butcher is a bit of a spacker inside sources tell me. Malpas is the key man at ict. General consensus from ict fans i have spoken to is that getting rid of munro makes as much sense as us letting foster go to der hun on loan.
  11. I actually wouldnt be adverse to signing grant munro, good experienced pro that would be a positive influence on the kids. I also know for a fact that munro is an aberdeen fan.
  12. Milsom? Really? Very good player but have seen no evidence that he's captain material whatsoever. I think our new captain is currently not on our books
  13. Lets be honest timothy and diet hun fuds going at it is probably going to be more entertaining than spl football at the moment
  14. Really? Zico's retiring after all
  15. Heard on the radio, clearly lennon is a nobber but too far.
  16. Got it on the radio, they said before tHe third that shwarzer was blamless for the first two.
  17. No need for that at all. It sums up the need for a total clear out
  18. He was on the radio yesterday saying how much he wanted to stay
  19. Fucks sake could they have not signed diamond on a pre contract first
  20. Im honestly so apathetic to these final games, just want the season to be over.
  21. I remember stillie looking a prospect but thats about it
  22. Very funny RR, folk in work looking at me a bit funny at the mo after my seemingly impromtu sniggering
  23. I've been saying for the past few years that scottish football is on its knee's. My only hope is (and its pretty slim) that as it becomes more apparent to the masses it will become harder for those in charge to hide their uselessness. Imo we need to start again from scratch, dissolve all the leagues and reform in a smaller model of the bundesliga. Bring back terracing, fans representitive on the board, all clubs operating within their means, at least 60% of all playing staff elidgible to play for scotland. I would also dissolve the current sfa and make the selection process for staff for the governing body a lot more open. We pay their wages as fans an yet have no say in how the game is run which is draconian!
  24. Listened on radio 5 and steve mclaren was summarising. I was actually really impressed with his punditry, really knowledgable
  25. Craig Browns post match Aberdeen manager Craig Brown positive about future 30 April 11 19:33 Aberdeen manager Craig Brown believes his side's 1-0 win over Inverness shows that the future is bright at Pittodrie. Peter Pawlett came off the bench to score his first senior goal and end the Dons' eight-game winless run. "The most pleasing aspect was that we had 11 players out of 18 on our team sheet who are under 21," said Brown. "It is compulsory to have three and some clubs struggle to do that, so much so that they are doing away with that regulation next season." Pawlett's left-foot drive after 75 minutes secured Aberdeen's first league victory since they overcame bottom side Hamilton in February and Brown believes the win will help the club claim a reasonable finish in the bottom half of the Scottish Premier League table. "We are delighted to get a win with a young team against a team that is looking to be the best of the rest," said Brown. "I think they will finish in seventh position so it was a good achievement to beat them." Meanwhile, Derek Young, who was told this week that his contract would not be extended when it expires at the end of the season, was made Aberdeen captain for the day. Brown added: "Out of respect for his efforts for Aberdeen in almost 250 games, Derek will be the captain for the last four games. "I think he more than deserves that and we are delighted he got off to a winning start." I think we can all agree its a nice touch making young captain. If only all players in red had his footballing ethic
