  1. It really is in my experience, I've lived in aberdeen, glasgow, edinburgh and even very briefly in dundee. Aberdeen is by a country mile the unfriendliest place in scotland in my opinion. ? Soz dude but dont get the reference
  2. Och you could be right, maybe it was just because i couldnt understand a fucking word some folk said
  3. When i lived in aberdeen i found most of the locals pretty xenophobic. No surprise to me that this sort of attitude exists toward fans not speaking raw doric
  4. Really dave? I certainly didn't expect to win on sat. Thought we probably should given the gap in both clubs player wages but it was a cup game away to decent, hard working 1st division side and to expect victory given current form is just a tad silly if you ask me. Christ man utd went out of the cup at home to leeds not so long ago, upsets happen every week in football. I can't help but think a lot of people are making to much of this, we're still in the cup after all
  5. Reckon the reason mclean has accepted the loan deal is purely down to it being last chance saloon. Either loan to us or nae game at plymouth for the rest of the season. I would rather have him on loan first to see how he settles, obviously there is the risk of little security if he's amazing but I can't see him banging in 20 goals by the end of the season.
  6. Bye lee, you had your moments thought not very many. Just like to thank dundee utd for giving miller to us and therefore giving us half a million quid. Hopefully we can get another couple of players in now as well though i'll be happy with what we have so far
  7. I think it is a fair point that scottish football is never dull!
  8. I think because we have such limited resources and that aberdeen Is so far from the central belt a lot of players we have talks with hold out till the end of transfer windows to see what other options they have. I don't think its a coincidence these players are saying we are still in the running to sign them with only five days left of the window
  9. Wasn't at the game but delighted to get the win. I'm also very pleased that JC got such a warm welcome back, hopefully this will finally draw a bit of a line under his tenure. As for the game 1 up front at home isn't exactly positive but I actually don't care at the mo. That was a really important 3 points to get
  10. Replaying the game was what the decision should have been in the first place imo
  11. Oh well midweek away fixture in feb it is then, one for the truly hardcore.....
  12. Gutted, couldn't help but get my hopes up a wee bit but as said better than seeing him line up against us. Still gutted tho
  13. Am I right in thinking miller is out of contract next summer? He's a decent player but if we got offered half a mill I'd take it
  14. I'd have him back in a second
  15. Ha! Yeah fair point aj, didn't really think bout that one.
  16. Get over calderwood? Its been 6 months since he left and yet the debate still rages in one form or another. I'm bored of it, anyone else or am I the only one?
  17. Well hopefully rougvie and cooper will come out in the press to clear their names. Eg "I never regarded myself as a dirty player but could never help myself against davie provan, honestly he's a cunt of a man"
  18. Wasn't at the game and not seen the highlights (at a wedding reception). I thought mackie was amazing last week at tannadump, good to hear he has carried his form over. delighted with the win, let's hope for a decent draw at home, anyone know when the draw is?
  19. Aye they got half a mill for levein and won't go above 90k for fenlon. Apparently bohemians would have settled for 180k. I would be a bit pissed if I was an arab......
  20. As far as I'm concerned this debate over the death of the ultra's has been the most interesting thing about them. I can honestly say I really didn't give a shit about card displays, horns or big flags. That's not to say I dissaproved of them I just didn't give a shit. I never really saw it as adding to the atmosphere, if the game was important enough/entertaining enough atmosphere takes car of itself. If its not no amount of big flags is going to change it. I respect the time they put into the ultra's, it bothers me not that they're not anymore. On the flipside at least they will get to have a few beers and watch the 1245 ko in the pub now.
  21. Without any shadow of a doubt russel anderson everytime. I would love to have him back.
  22. Playing devils advocate a wee bit here but all the people they are looking at are hardly inspiring, maybe they should go for calderwood
  23. Ah ray naturally both footed mckinnon. I'll see him with micheal o neall
  24. Excellent result and one that we sorely needed. I thought mackie was superb, never gave kenneth or webster a moments peace. Marshall looked very good in the first half, the lad can actually pass the ball and did very well to set up charlie. Real shame gassi got sent off as he had been having a good game. Pass marks to everyone and get it right up ya jutie scum
  25. Re aluko, don't think its very fair to judge him too much at the moment. Due to injury and international commitments he's had no kind of run in the side. I think waiting till he's had a few starts in a row would be prudent
