  1. Oh shit yeah i remember that, i had to drive to wales and thankfully didnt see it
  2. Lois theroux really does have balls of steel. Tonights one was really creepy though, virtually all the peado's had slicked back hair and dodgy tash's. I found it repulsive even looking at them at times
  3. The moment i saw him on it i knew they would show his goal against scotland. He's up there with ricksen and durrant as the hun i enjoyed giving abuse to the most
  4. I remember the hearts game roundabout christmas my mate said it was starting to get embarassing how much JDV was taking the hearts full back to the cleaners. Both were classy players (relative to the league they were playing in) who had the ability to put their foot on the ball and pick a pass. Both in the infinite wisdom of mr calderwood were rarely used. i never understood why.
  5. The worst part was he was finally putting in some decent performances. I always quite liked JDV, never understood why JC never played him especially as you say when smith is contributing very little due to injury
  6. Cant believe ibrox is being televised! Fucking love it if we stuffed them there on tv! Actually, I wonder when the last time that fixture was televised
  7. I dont think our attendances are helped by the fact that there is a lot foreign invaders working in the oil industry that have moved to aberdeen. No danger most of them give a shit about aberdeen or even scottish football
  8. Aye think its time jamie started packing his bags, its sad because on form he's one of the most talented players in the league and im positive he will come back to haunt us at some point. Can see him going to hibs if he does leave. Losing zander is a massive blow and sad as it is to say i think both injuries will call time on our push for europe. i just cant see us being tight enough at the back to get the needed results. Didnt hear any post match comments but if it wouldn't surprise me from calderwood Manc don
  9. Aye when he's up against jinky mcjinky he's hopeless, he's not so bad against more static players
  10. Aye thats unarguably a good thing but i would have thought it prudent to have a percentage of profit clause, especially for seasons like last year when we filled pittodrie a lot more than we have done in recent years. I appreciate its kinda having your cake and eating it though
  11. Interesting, i didnt know that. Doesnt sound the best the best of deals to be honest.
  12. I would play him as a holding midfielder, let him move the ball about and maybe even try to dictate the play
  13. Why not?
  14. Im not to adverse to letting kids in on the cheap, they are always going to want things like pies, drinks, crisps etc which will make the club a wee bit of money. Not going to wipe out the debt but the way i see it is that if you can get those kids in who wouldnt have been going at full price its more profitable than an empty seat. The downside is that the dross we are playing at the moment isnt exactly going to inspire them to come back regardless of how little it has cost them to get in. When it comes down to getting people through the gate during this financial crisis the product on the park becomes a lot more important than it was say a year ago. A drop in ticket prices across the board might be the only way to get people through the turnstyles unless performances improve drastically
  15. what a mental game of football
  16. From a strikers point of view it was a good hattrick, ironically enough though the best goal was the one he used his foot for. Thought he did really well to get the shot in with three defenders closing in. The second two were just stinking defending, you dont let such a big lad get virtually free headers. Its not like he's particularily mobile either though this is because he's a lot chunkier than i remember when he was at sunderland, he must be a bit of a bulldozer to play against is what im getting at. Still though thats no excuse for a defender as experienced as pressley. Cant see us getting hee haw at parkhead
  17. I think so especially clubs like ours that have always paid wages on time. I imagine a lot of players will be considering how likely their wages are to be paid and if on time when they sign with new clubs. Puts us in a strong position and players might be prepared to take a lower wage for the security of definately getting paid when they're supposed to.
  18. Cant see us getting much from the tims at parkhead MD, not on current form. United are home to killie and fancy them to win that one, cant see kevin kyle getting much change out of wilkie and kenneth like he did against falkirk
  19. Aye i can see that "look at me i can score a weapon free kick" strut about him. For me he's physically to gangly to play at fullback, anytime he's up against anyone who can dribble he gets torn a new one its and mostly because of his lack of agility.
  20. For me mulgrew just isnt a fucking defender. end off. would rather have foster at lb and play mulgrew in midfield.
  21. Dorman is excellent and would love to see him at pittodrie but doubt it will happen cos of the £. I def agree about arfield , really promising player i reckon
  22. Of course not, this was post paterson so we were to busy rubbing our eyes in disbelief at the mythical clean sheet we had heard other fans talking about
  23. Dunno like, if you were a journo wouldnt you check up something like that before you printed?
  24. I am really not looking forward to the ICT game in the slightest
