Time will tell but his pedigree is reasonable
-
Robson did say it would take him a few weeks to get up to speed a few weeks back i think.
-
The huns and tims are both vulnerable at the moment to be fair and he's got a plastic pitch.
-
Bologna v Milan was a good game. Two good goals early from Milan settled it but Bologna caused them plenty problems in a pretty entertaining game. Fergie started and was playing on the left of a front 3, he troubled the goalkeeper a few times but never had him too worried.

I would love and hate that. I have such a huge soft spot for la viola.
-
That could very well be the root of this.

Europa League Playoff - BK Hacken vs Dons

Nor the bite of Rama, he's defo more a creative type than terrier. Rama must be replaced, if Shinnie got injured we would be very light in the ball winning midfielder stakes. I did hear rumour Dadia has played there before but that's not ideal. Ideally we bring in that type of cm before Thursday but I'm not holding my breath. -
Och we are through. Credit it where its due, Stirling were very gutsy and well organised.
-
Decent second half, turning the screw a wee bit though we look vulnerable on the counter
-
Gutsy performance from Stirling, not giving us an inch. Goal was made by Devlin though excellent composure from Miovski. Probably the only moment of real quality in the game so far
-
I don't think we are over praising Polvara. Bear in mind Robson clearly has high hopes for him and he defo knows better than us. He's clearly a player with potential and I'm sure he would be fairly easy to deal with. Rumour mill saying we may be in for Rocco Vara whom has apparently been told he can leave the tims. I know very little about him other than he's a wide player.
-
Maybes ayes, maybes naws. We are going to need to be on our toes against Stirling I think. Also it shows him he has to fight for his place. Robson basically said its not worth risking the injury. If MacDonald is back in it will be interesting to see which fb will be moving out of the three. You would think Devlin as Mackenzie is doing well and left footed but Robson does seem to like Morris and I'm not sure he wants to drop him in a game where he could get on the ball plenty.
-
He does only have a year left on his deal. Same with polvara. We could defo do with extending these two pronto

Southampton and Leeds allegedly looking at Duk

Polvara defo starting to look like a shrewd bit of business by glass
-
No they are not. We were in the black before we sold Rama and Mcrorie according to cormack and we have 6 million give or take to come in from euro group stage football. Teclic was defo going to be a 7 figure sum as well I might add. In short we have some money to play with and will to spend it.
-
Robson says 3 or 4, I really hope it's 4 because we are defo going to need the cover. Depressingly there are still 17 days of the window left and we haven't even hit the playing chicken part of it yet. It's frustrating as hell but we have to not only be patient but accept it's a very real possibility that we don't see a lot of movement until the window is about to close. The result in the first leg of the euro qualifier could have some effect on our business as well perhaps. On the flip side though we are able now to operate in a market of a standard higher than any we have operated in probably since the early 90's. Add to that the club does seem to be showing cause to have a little faith in their transfer acumen. I've not seen enough/any of sokler, mcgarry and Williams but I like what I see of Devlin and rubezic. Shinnie, Clarkson and MacDonald speak for themselves. All things considered, especially given the calibre of player we can actually go for at this moment, this could yet be our best window since the transfer window became a thing.

Burrows tweeting mcgarry a done deal

I'm feeling alright about it, celtic weren't exactly convincing at the weekend. Our defence looked far more capable against livi than theirs did conceding 2 and plenty more chances to county. We will also have a lot more space to play with against them and I expect us to cause them problems. If we scored first I think they would be a lot more unsettled by it than they would have been last season. Score draw or a dons win.

I think fergie would want to go the route that give him the biggest transfer budget the next season. That's why a part of me would prefer the conference, we have a much better chance of winning games and getting out of the group. "For the 2022–23 season, group stage participation in the Europa Conference League is awarded a base fee of €2,940,000. A victory in the group pays €500,000 and a draw €166,000. Also, each group winner earns €650,000 and each runner-up €325,000. Reaching the knock-out stage triggers additional bonuses: €300,000 for the round of 32, €600,000 for the round of 16, €1,000,000 for the quarter-finals and €2,000,000 for the semi-finals. The losing finalists receive €3,000,000 and the champions receive €5,000,000." I'm not disputing that it would be nice to get some glamour ties but I'm more interested in taking in as much money as we can and using that to make sure we get third again minimum. Do that a few seasons on the bounce and we could then be looking at splitting the gruesome twosome as a realistic aim whilst creating a gap between ourselves and the Edinburgh sides. If we can split them we have a shot at CL and I think that is what out long term goal should be.
-
Well we have as good a chance to go through as we are going to get. A solid result in the first leg could have an effect on our transfers as well because playing Europa league instead of conference may be enough to convince a player to join us. That said there's a part of me that would prefer to go to the conference league purely on the grounds I think it would be more fun.
-
I'm just not convinced Mackenzie will ever be better than average. Put it this way, if he wasnt left footed he probably would have been released by now.
-
If we score early I would fancy us to win quite comfortably. If we don't it could be a real slog, livi away is rarely an easy game and we are going in with an untried defence. No idea how we will line up, fascinated to see what it's going to be.

Apologies for the source but Johnny Hayes massively talking up polvara in the record here panda. Sounds like he's going to get game time whether rama stays or goes 2bh. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/jonny-hayes-sees-aberdeen-fc-30589151?fbclid=IwAR1uzaE2Af6yLEiqPNj-MawYSFPm2aNbCPToUq-JPwvms_1cB3-ciXe4ap0 If Rama is to go he goes with my best wishes. He wouldn't be impossible to replace but he won't be that easy either. He's a very solid player at this level and seemed a good influence on the squad in general. My preference would be to keep him because we have more than enough of a turnover of squad this window as it is.
