  1. Not heard it for years but a couple of days on steve lamaq's show on 6 music he played david bowie's "the laughing gnome" for his national anthem track Obviously given my username this tickled (no pun intended) me something rotten! Actually it was quite a funny story for the national anthem (basically he chooses a news story from the day and people text in with relevant track suggestions). What happened was a woman went outside to find one of her garden gnomes was MIA. 7 months later she went outside to find said gnome sitting on her doorstep with a photo album full of pictures of said gnome in loads of famous places from around the world. Clearly amelie inspired but made me laugh
  2. For a dirty jutie bastard he's alright but your probably right
  3. Just got a text from an arab mate saying he's heard a few rumours that anderson might be coming back on loan. I've asked where he heard this from but not heard back yet. good chance its bollocks but hey i cant help but get a little excited at the thought
  4. Burkinshaw was a fucking tit as well though. The guy did absolutely nothing at the club
  5. Thats it isnt it! I would be happy playing 4 at the back if we had a right back but if duff or foster is put in that position is shitey bum time!
  6. the game will be won and lost by our back line. Minkerwell will go their usual 3 up front and if we can cope with it i would fancy us to at least get a draw. Their defence looked anything but clever on sat so if calderwood moves smith to the middle of the park instead of on the wing i would fancy him to give them a torrid time. Diamond has got to play on sat end of!
  7. Fuck getting another winger when we blatently need a right back first and foremost!
  8. Celtic: Brown Dundee Utd: Dods Falkirk: dunno Hamilton:dunno Hearts: kingston Hibs: Fletcher Inverness CT: Cowie Kilmarnock: dunno Motherwell: porter Rangers: cuellar St Mirren: Dunno
  9. Would never call him a dons legend, wasnt at the club long enough for a start. At the same time though in my opinion he was no-where near as bad as your making out bobby. Thing about dodds is that he he scored a lot of important goals.
  10. Cant say i know much about him but in fairness to levien he's got an excellent record in the transfer market. Overall im quite optimistic about the upcoming season, i agree with funster that the lack of euro football should have a big benefit on our domestic campaign.
  11. All the bbc pundits to a man have put utd as their favourite to finish 3rd. Not one of them put us. Fair enough utd are hard to beat but they dont exactly have a threatening front line.
  12. What do you all think the starting lineup for the weekend should be? I've not seen any of the pre-season games but this is the line up i would go for Clangers Duff Zander Seve Mulgrew Kerr Mcdonald Smith De visch Bebo Miller Kerr would play a holding role with mcdonald sitting a bit futher forward. Smith and jeffrey to float about behind the front two.
  13. Maybe not win a trophy but for me a cup final is a must. Last time was 2000 and that is too long ago. I think we are going to have a pretty decent season truth be told and if the hun keep on being so woeful then we may keep up with them. A succesfull season for me is Cup final top 3 finish I agree with bloo, we need to see the younger boys like paton pushing for places. I dunno why cos i've not seen him play but i've got this gut feeling that sammy stewart is going to be a big player for us in the future.
  14. To be honest i was taking the wright signing with a pinch of salt till i saw him play. It seems from that interview that deano actually does rate him. Might actually let myself get a bit excited now
  15. All but nicholson. I did think touzani could play but since he didnt get a game its not really a loss. I agree with spiers though, we're still short a centre half. At the moment we' are left hoping that mair or considine willl stand up and grow a pair
  16. Cant see anyone else being in for 3rd than us and utd. Im relatively optimistic about the upcoming season, we've brought in some good players in kerr and mulgrew and i fancy bebo to make some big strides forward this season. Bn is obviously a loss as is maybury but aside from that we're in pretty good shape for next week. The only concern i have is the lack of strength in depth at the back. If we lose zander for any length of time we're a bit fucked. What i wouldnt give to have anderson back!!!!!!
  17. Good stuff hopefully they'll be on where their hongovers ease and let us know what they thought of the performance..... Hint Hint
  18. Any donstalkers actually make the game?
  19. This is really sick so be warned Whats the best thing about shagging a 3 year old girl? You can flip her over and pretend that she's a three year old boy.
  20. The guys not even had a full season in charge yet. Also this stunning football that is their tradition, Hibs is the club that gave alex miller a good few seasons in charge. They cannae be that keen on it!
  21. CSS Left behind
  22. they have had a couple of good fee's from the huns for boyd and naismith in recent times
  23. Jc is quoted in the paper as saying “Getting a striker is now at the top of our agenda" Also says “We will also sign two more defenders and another who can play in a variety of roles and that will be that." Anyone else think that a left back should be the priority? Dont get me wrong im ok with foster playing there as he's had some decent showings but there is no competition for the position whatsoever! Up front we have miller, mackie, maguire and smith (dont care if he was signed as a midfielder up front is his best position by a mile).
  24. Im sorry dude but i really just cant agree. i thought he was just truly awfull. Anytime the ball went near him i shat myself
