  1. Probably played kerby the entire time
  2. I do think there's a player in there, his range of passing I thought looked decent. Whether he can hack it at this level is another story though.
  3. I hear you Jute but I would prefer to keep him. Him and Shinnie looked solid as a rock together and there's enough upheaval to our squad this window as it is. That said if Lecce are going yo come in with anything above 2 mill you can't really turn that down
  4. Surprised folks are focusing on the post break fixtures when December is insane. From the 31st of of November to the 2nd of January we have 10 fixtures to play. That's a game every 3.4 days to put it into a little context.
  5. He's been linked with Juve and Milan too over the past while. Milan are selling tonali to Newcastle so will be in line for a cm too. Regardless i would be delighted for Lewis if he managed a move to a club of that calibre and fascinated to see how he gets on.
  6. To me he looked to be a defender that was at his best when it was backs to the wall stuff Agree a parting of ways is best for all concerned but if he did stay I wouldn't be shocked if he had some sort of redemption arc. More than anything else though he will be on a big wage and we should bin on thay alone as he would never be anything more than a squad player.
  7. Yep, I had the fear it was going to get complicated.
  8. The Teklic one is interesting isn't it? The best I can tell this is a fairly ambitious move by the club and I think it's telling they are still hanging in there. You don't do that for a player who isn't going to significantly improve you.
  9. Has anyone else been pondering how Robson is thinking on Stewart and besuijens return from loan? I'm fascinated to see what happens with both 2bh. With Vinny the talent is there but I have a question mark over attitude right now. He clearly spat the dummy about being benched by Goodwin but who knows what else was going on behind the scenes . He's on the record as saying he wouldn't have left if knew Goodwin was on borrowed time. There's defo no attitude problem with Stewart though 2bf and at the time putting him out on loan made a lot of sense. He had become a major target for the fan base and it made it easy to install Shinnie as captain which needed to happen. It has crossed my mind though that he may still have his uses. I can't help but feel that not being asked to play it out from the back constantly would suit him, as would not having the pressure of the armband. His best work in red was when he was just trying to get in the way of the ball and that's essentially what Pollock was doing when he was here. Don't get me wrong here though folks, I'm not advocating for keeping Stewart and I get that after his first spell it would be a fairly long road back for him with the fan base. I just wonder if Robson may have another look at him now all the dust has settled on the failings of the previous campaign.
  10. Aye the commentary is awful for the audio only audience..... Though I suspect they know most folks are either abroad or using a vpn. I didn't realise it had gone up so much in price but they have me over a barrel. Due to life circumstances it's very rare I can attend at the moment and I watch pretty much every game on rtv. I don't mind using things like kodi for non dons games but when it comes to aberdeen nothing else than a guaranteed stable feed will do.
  11. Nice wee tribute to him on the sportsound podcast, his boxing ability is mentioned actually but not in reference to this tale. Would have love to have met pa broon, the boy had a tale or two to tell for sure. I just wish his teams would have gone for it the same way he did for the ladies.
  12. Aye saw a few rumours myself. Hope they are untrue but he's not getting any younger.
  13. Nail Head Nicely hit, I'm glad I read to the end because I was about to type words to this effect out. A win in Cyprus and we are defo going. I don't take the result for granted but it's not unreasonable to fancy our chances of getting said win. In that case I think the Spain game will define the group. A point there and I would be amazed if we don't win the group. Clarke will be going there to win though and so he fucking should be, they ain't the team they once were and I don't think many teams look forward to playing us now.
  14. Starting to get well nervous about this one. I watched a fair bit of Napoli last season and kvaratskhelia was well worth the hype he got from the global press. Add to that Georgia being on good form with 1 defeat in 15 and I don't think there's any banana skin about this game 2bh, this would be a tough match for most international teams. It does feel really fucking weird that I'm feeling positive anyway though and looking forward to seeing how Scotland deal with the challenge.
  15. I need to see it in the flesh to be sure but I quite like it.
  16. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65956639 Ridiculous.
  17. Roberts signs for scunthorpe on a two year deal for an undisclosed fee. https://www.scunthorpe-united.co.uk/news/2023/june/callum-roberts-signs-from-aberdeen/?fbclid=IwAR1INGj-qMp_OkwyTr4U3mfiSjewP1Jlmd5KAQt4VE1EFHqxICj-ySo9ksk It's great we got something resembling cash for him i suppose though i never felt we saw him play enough to define if he was any good or not. We can only assume Robson didn't fancy him or he just wanted away himself. I wonder how many of Goodwins signings will still be here come the opening game of the season
  18. Och, same shite, it's just on the other shoe Al. Maybe they will both have meltdown seasons
  19. Fascinating to see how this one turns out imo. I've come up with a theory about Rogers and why he can't seem to last longer than 3 seasons at a club. Basically, I think he's a bullshit merchant. Eg. I mind him saying last time round he met Danny mcgrain on the training ground when he started. Mcgrain said he didn't know if he was still to have a role at the club. He told Danny he should put his training gear on and he would always have a place at the club whilst he was in charge. After Rogers left Mcgrain went on record saying it never happened (well according to tam Cowan anyway). I do wonder if after a few years people just get wise to his disingenuinity and that's why performances dip. It's hard to be motivated by someone you don't respect after all. Regardless though I can't help but feel this is a bad move for Rogers. I honestly don't see what's in it for him. There's plenty of talk of him being promised a budget that will make them CL competitive. To my eye the only way they are going to do that is by doubling their wage bill and however well run they are they cannot afford to do that. Even if they did I wouldn't trust Rogers to build such a team, one of his biggest problems at Leicester was they spent a rake of money on diddies (according to the hilariously named Leicester fan Rick flair on sportsound yesterday). My prediction with this one is some reasonable early success and then a spectacular wheels coming off car crash.
  20. Agreed on both counts. I totally lost it when it went in
  21. Still buzzing after that one. Must have watched the winning goal about 30 times now
  22. I've not seen a smash and grab like this for a long, long time
  23. I thought we got away with one the first one but I concede it wasn't a stonewaller. Ironically that's the one time he didn't want to go down
  24. Hard to say for sure as no replay was conclusive but it's soft as hell best I can tell. They should have had one earlier though and are well worth the lead
