English clubs are paying far more attention to Scottish youth after leaving the EU. There's no work permit worries and given how much money they have its a low risk punt that doesn't really matter if it doesn't come off.

I know, it's why I gave a laugh react. I just thought folks might want to see the rules anyway.

I was thinking along these lines when Panda posted our current line up yesterday. For euro squads (and somehow I'm still optimistic we will make Europe) you need 4 homegrown players trained at club from 18-21 and 8 league grown players trained in the league 18-21. You get 25 spots and are penalised 1 spot for each homegrown place you can't fill. Players under 21 that have been at your club for two seasons do not need to be registered. Right now the only trained at club from 18-21 player we have is Mackenzie and he's most likely off in the summer.

Yeah Nisbet needs the kind of service that has been short in supply at Aberdeen but having someone like Gueye buzzing around him could cause that to change. It's alleged we want 3 more in but the rumour mill has died off, I wonder if we will be waiting till deadline day to see any more business.
