Fwiw condolences for your loss.

Agreed. The problem is a lot of the squad know they are on their way in the summer and will be more wary of injury. Livi is must win for me or we are in real danger of getting dragged into it.

So out the door for sure are Jenks JET Considine Mcgeoch Ojo Montgomery Devlin Probably out the door are Lewis Ramirez Ferguson Rumoured to be leaving but who knows Maclennan Campbell (though Goodwin hasn't seen him train yet so I think this is nonsense at the mo) Gallagher (would be surprised myself if he left) Ramsey (not sure about this one, he's massively dipped in form but the potential is clearly there) Mackenzie Woods Most likely to still be here next season Vinny Mcrorie Watkins Barron Hayes Kennedy Bates (still two years left on his deal, he's going nowhere unless someone is prepared to take him from us) Polvara Obviously, this is going to be a very busy window for the club. It's never ideal to have such a big turnover but on occasion you can be left with little choice like we are. Could be a really tricky start to next season for us too like County had this season after their huge turnover in the summer. On the flip side though it does make it much easier for the manager to put his own stamp on the team and clear away the remnants of the last two regimes which still linger heavily.

I would rather have avoided the English 2bh purely on the selfish grounds of I don't know if I can go through this again so fucking soon after the last one I was a complete nervous wreck for at 4 days in the build up to that. On further investigation the Americans are not to be taken lightly even remotely. Their front line in particular is a bit potent. Pulisic, reyna and weah who are all playing CL football. That's a tough opening game for us but defo winnable at the same time. I would take a point right now if you offered it though. I can't pretend I know anything about Iranian football but they have usually at least been competitive in the past. No pushover anyway but again very winnable. The England game takes care of itself but as the last group game they might be through already. Then again, so might we . All that is sure is that it's going to be so fucking stressful should we make it.

Yeah he is good on Co comms 2bf
-
Yep, impossible to argue with this. I didn't mind giving him a bit of time as he defo looked a player when he first came into the team but its just getting fucking ridiculous now.
-
Bravo fergie, well deserved too.
-
Who's been seen wandering around?
-
I've heard he had a bug the past few days
-
Maloneys post matcher is verging on the mentally unwell so not surprised to hear they are appealing. He basically swept his legs from behind, nowhere near the ball. Aye, vb's isn't as good when you watch it again but he's hit it well enough 2bf. I don't think the international break is so bad right now 2bh mate. We go into it on a high and its more recuperation and acclimatisation time for the squad and Goodwin.
-
Porteus has talent but he doesn't fucking learn. Rash and stupid challenge, reckon he's been watching cobra kai 2bh
-
At the very least it feels like there is still something to play for and we all would have snapped the hand of that offer when we went out of the cup.
-
Unbelievably Europe is still on. After todays results 6 points from Dundee away and county at home might just be enough to get is into the top half before the split. Some ping from besuijen

It's an interesting place Goodwin finds himself. Arrives after the season is all but a bogey, has his first home game with fergie looking over his shoulder and then has to go to Tynecastle and mordor. All of which with a decimated squad and a captain walking out. Despite the losses the fans seem to have taken him in well which is to his credit. On paper we have a talented squad, and I think a few weeks on the training ground will be good for us. Watkins is hopefully back soon too and whilst he is inconsistent when he's on it he has a spark about him. Right now I'll take that. Interesting to see who Goodwin names captain.... My money is on Ferguson.
-
Apparently on his way, terminated contract. Probs for the best, I certainly wouldn't describe his signing as a failure but this is probably best for both parties now glass has left. Frees up a big wage too
-
Didn't realise that either. This team could do with the break and hopefully will have a few more options available come the spoon burners at home. Watkins potentially might be coming into contention too.
-
At Goodwins presser yesterday he said brown would have a big role to play today so it defo fits
-
I don't recall tom but I'll take your word for it
-
It's probably the softest penalty I have ever seen Aberdeen be awarded.
-
Given our injury list I would be pleasantly surprised if we got anything from this. Not impossible but if we concede early we are likely getting battered.
-
Back to 1994-2012 but worse!

The problem, I suspect anyway, is that you were dropped on your head an awful lot as a kid -
I think a lot will depend on who's available for how this one will go.
-
I would defo rather Goodwin over lambert. He's been guff since his heydey at Norwich. Truthfully Rico I don't recall too much mention of Goodwin as someone we should target back in the day but I did always have a grudging respect for him. As limited as he was as a player he was always a nightmare to play against.
-
Ooooo, just realised if it's Goodwin this is the first manager that will be younger than me.....
-
The big difference for me is Ross and lennon are on a downward trajectory whilst Goodwin is on an upwards one. Re the debate about ambition etc I kinda think both sides have really valid points. People do take jobs for a variety of reasons, Clarke going to Killie being a prime example. It has to be said though that a level of pragmatism always has to be applied with aiming to punch above your weight. I mind that utter plum from whatever that supporters group was called suggesting on the radio we should try and get someone like Eddie howe to replace DM. Aye mate, the finance needed to get him in the door wouldn't bankrupt the club several times over. If it's Goodwin I'm at peace with that, as I said before I like the cut of his jib. St mirren has been a fertile hunting ground for us for managers though, 12 trophies from the last two though obviously Alex smiths legacy is not so fondly remembered as fergies.
