Saints were as stuffy as expected. We deserved the win but under current rules I'm glad we don't have var yet cos that was getting ruled out for handball.

Dirthy Filthy Hun Scumbag Vermin (deceased) and Poundland tribute act

Not so sure about that Al, if he fails sure but he defo is a fucking hun and if he does well I could see him staying longer than gerrard -
Their defence is all over the place too, it really lacks leadership. Neil has said a fair few times he has no interest in coming back to Scotland but would be a really good appt if they got him
-
They've pulled the trigger a tad early for me but with January looming you can understand it.

January transfer window and the squad as it stands

That's fair enough mate, he's a frustrating player at times for sure. At times he looks amazing and others like it's the first time he's ever seen a football. The reason I would be prepared to give him a bit more time is that I think he suits our intended style of play far more than under DM and I'm interested to see if he can kick on under glass -
If memory serves from glass's post match on rtv I don't think so. Mackenzie might be though. Aye big game but defo going into it with confidence especially Bates and Mcrorie starting to form a partnership that is looking reasonably solid. They have not been playing well at all, Allan Preston said at the weekend that their defence was full of just basic mistakes so if that continues we should do pretty well put of them. 3-0 dons Hedges, Ramirez and watkins

Mclennan I would keep. There's a player in there and he's rapid. Mcrorie and brown in midfield has merit but I would want another centre half in. We should be trying to get mcgrath in to replace hedges -

I thought SG's "we would have liked better performances" line was quite telling Al. Reeked of coming up here thinking it was going to be beneath him and he wouldn't have to try to hard to shine. -

Not as far as I'm aware -
Well I don't think we are going to get the 20 goals from jet he promised us when he signed but I'm at peace with that. He's not a striker for me but a no 10 all day long. 2bh I was a bit meh on resigning Watkins but I have to say he's been a real asset since coming back into the team. Ramirez has done so well, especially when you consider the culture shock of moving to a new continent. I hope the club are looking to extend his deal a year as he's ooc at the end of next season. Overall 40 between the 3 of them is ambitious but not impossible.

Different sure, not so sure he's a better one though
-
....... I'm sorry mate I'm not sure what you're referring to there?
-
Bates is starting to look a really good bit of business I have to say
-
I think you're right to. Bates coming onto a game as well as starting to form an understanding with Mcrorie is huge if you ask me. Lewis looking far more like himself equally so, the clean sheet midweek was almost as important as the win you could argue. Bad results have massively overshadowed the fact that at times there's been a lot to like about us this season and with a more solid defence fingers crossed we can really kick on now. This one could be a bit scrappy, particularly if there's no early goal but I fancy us to win it. 1-0 ramirez

Whilst I acknowledge livi were a bit off it I was really pleased for bates tonight after some of the stick he's taken. Looked very solid and moved the ball forward well. We might have played a different back line yet again but bates and Mcrorie are starting to look they are building up an understanding after playing a few together at cb. Fingers crossed anyway cos we really need to tighten up at the back Ojo whilst wasting a few attacking opportunities didn't do too bad at rb 2bf, does anyone know how long Ramsey is out for?
-
Indeed. Here's an unpopular opinion for you folks, jet had key involvement in pretty much every attack of note we made in that game. I'm not saying he doesn't frustrate but when he gets it right he creates chances.
-
I think a lot of managers would have lost their shit at ojo's red, no? But yes, it is interesting how people perceive things differently. I just thought he dealt with the pre match presser pretty well, seemed calm and reflect full and acknowledged he had been harsh on ojo. I don't there is a problem there with the player put it that way. It's worth a watch mate. Re the match bates will be back so at least we have 2 cb's though his form has been patchy so not sure how much difference that will make against a prolific front line. Only chance we have is to get in their faces, if we sit back we will get rinsed.
-
Wales record in Cardiff is pretty decent if memory serves. Don't think they have lost there in a while.
-
The fact they put so much into the game tonight and got the kick in the teeth of two late goals after leading could be significant maybe. I know a few St holders at the San giro, they love how they look going forward but their back line is wide open according to them. Ramirez could have fun in other words and if there's a sensible bet for this game it's both teams to score if you ask me. Just watched glass's pre match presser on red tv, worth a look as I thought he handled the ojo questions really well. I know we haven't had the best results under him so far but I can't help but be impressed by him. He's got a bearing about him I respect and whilst here's been some poor results and he must be feeling the pressure (though not from cormack just yet) he doesn't seem to be letting it get to him. My instinct is he's worth sticking with
-
Because, imo, and fwiw anyway, a solid defence is the platform that you build everything on. Get that right you should be able to win more than you draw and draw more than you lose.
-
Hard to argue with this
-
Yeah I would broadly agree with that (bar Motherwell being guff). All I would add is Gurr looked far more comfortable as wb than rb I thought. Our biggest problem, imo anyway, is the lack of a settled defence. If we have played the same back line more than two games in a row it must have been at the very start of the season. Its no wonder we are conceding goals we shouldn't be and that's even before you get to the more recent injury crisis. Does glass have to take some of the blame for chopping and changing too much? Sure but some changes were forced on him too. It's not to say I can't understand the unhappiness, yesterday was a particularly sore one to take all things considered. I just can't help but think when we get a settled back 3 in place we could really amount to something.
-
Think you're being a bit harsh, especially given our defensive woes. There is absolutely no way we deserved to lose that and ojo's sending off was an utter disgrace.
-
Nailed it.

Big match this, wish I could go. Got a feeling it might get a wee bit feisty which would be great. I think if we score first and early it would a really good day for us 3-1 dons
