  1. Went to a back 3, we did this before in Europe once and got a clean sheet then too. We defo looked a bit more organised at the back and given the depleted nature I thought we did well with Allan and Murphy who gave hibs an edge when they came on. If we go with a 3 again at mordor with brown as cb there is a big question about who plays rwb/rm. Mc
  2. Don't think you can write bates, Samuel's and longstaff off as duds ta this stage. Watkins was key yesterday, brown has been excellent overall, Gallagher the jury is still out on but is looking more settled. JET doesn't appear to be working 2bf but overall I would say business done has been positive.
  3. I wouldn't say optimism but i haven't forgotten that at times there has been a lot to like about us this season and we should have taken more points than we have got.
  4. Fonseca is currently favourite, being reported they are in advanced talks.
  5. I would go cavalier, we can't fucking defend anyway. Lewis Mcrorie Gallagher Bates Ramsey Brown Ferguson Hayes Hedges Ramirez Samuel's
  6. Trump is an extreme comparison 2bf. His overall point there was glass was being praised recently. A Trump crony is unlikely to have had that in their locker. Say what you like about cormack but he hasn't got to where he has by not being shrewd or surrounding himself with yes men. Ego or not he's no fool and I struggle to think of him going on last night without a strategy. As I said previously I think he will be happy with the result of his radio appearance. He's taken the heat off glass a bit by becoming the story and removed any uncertainty hanging over the club about glass's future which hopefully the squad will respond positively to. Time will tell on that but overall I admire him for standing tall behind his appointment.
  7. As I said before, last night was a performance imo. Pretty much everything he said will have been planned and rehearsed and same with the tone. He was going in 2 footed on mcintyre (who handled it well 2bf) from the off, now it could be he just doesn't like him but on reflection I wouldn't be surprised if he was just a convenient patsy. He was far more cordial with English and Collins but they are the not the stirrers that McIntyre is. Regardless it was an interesting strategy and I think he's probably happy with the result. Cormack wanted to take the heat off glass a bit and has succeeded, everyone is talking about him now. The added bonus for cormack as well is that if it doesn't work out for Glass he will be an attractive chairman to work for for prospective coaches. SG must have been delighted to hear the chairman getting stuck into his detractors and give him his full backing. Collins couldn't get his tongue any further up his arse if he tried for it. Q&A with fans this week is up next, that's going to be interesting. More fascinating is whether or not this intervention has any effect of results. It could 2bf, glass and the coaching staff do seem to be liked by the players as best I can tell.
  8. He's brought 20 million of investment into the club, not exactly running us into the ground form....
  9. Fucks sake manc So what effect, if any, will cormack passionate backing of glass have on Saturday? It defo takes the pressure off him a wee bit even if that's only because people are talking about the chairman instead. It would certainly be a great time to get a win and ease the pressure even more..
  10. Nah, I don't agree it was a car crash. It was a performance certainly with the intention of building some siege mentality to take the pressure off glass..... And with some success too I would say. Most of what he said was fair but there was hyperbole in there too. I don't think he likes Kenny Mcintyre much though, he seemed pretty snippy with him but I suspect that some of that will be showmanship. The short and curlies is glass isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
  11. Indeed, you do have to wonder what their angle is
  12. According to former director Andrew Little DC and his American pals are into afc to the tune of 20 mill. It's hard to say he's not put his money where his mouth is. Glass was always a gamble (and it doesn't look a good one at the moment) but it was his to make. Unless we get caught up in the relegation dogfight you would think, as cormacks man, glass will get the season but we don't really have any previous form to compare to. Maybe he will be ruthless
  13. We were poor the first half but I have to say I thought the faroes looked a pretty decent team. Clarke was right to mention the Danes took the same amount of time to score against them as we did, they're no mugs. Got the fear about Moldova but at least it won't be roasting hot. Even if we win we still have a long way to go. Play offs will be tough
  14. Christie for me, faroes will be stodgy and he's got guile.
  15. Utterly bonkers isn't it. As for the game, again there was a lot to like about us but we are just too sloppy at the back. Kyogo might have great movement but bates should be getting his head on that though I concede it was a tricky ball in to deal with. Easy to put it past your own keeper.
  16. Tims have their own problems, namely they are wide fucking open at the back. No idea how this will go but both teams to score is probably a safe bet.
  17. I think Ramsey is the better prospect to be honest. The only thing that Paterson has on him is he's slightly faster but Ramsey is better in all other departments both physical and mentally imo. He's so composed.
  18. Best I can say about woods is that he's a competent back up. I wish we still had cerny.
  19. Hayes should have gone for that
  20. Word
  21. Cormack will give his chosen man a bit longer than Xmas.
  22. At the moment we seem incapable of keeping it tight
  23. The fermers are never an easy game. I'll take any kind of win
  24. I think the most interesting thing about this is the collaboration of the 5 clubs. By terms of number of supporters that's the biggest 5 in the league outside the ugly sisters. It seems a statement of intent to me, time will tell if that's true or not but it has potential if so. What that intent would be is another fascinating question to think about. The American involvement in Scottish football is still something of a puzzle for me. Clearly they see potential for return of investment. For some context I heard former director Andrew Little say on the here we go podcast recently that he believed cormack and his yank chums are invested in afc to the tune of 20 million. Anyone else find that a bit nuts? I would love to know how much of that is cormack himself. The only thing I can think of that would justify that kind of investment is CL qualification..... Not impossible but still a long shot to say the least.
  25. This has tense 1-0 shit fest written all over it. Not sure what I would do with the defence to be honest but I would like to see JET start as he seems to be the only player we have that can split a defence with a pass. Out Red tv Fuck knows what after 1-0 shit fest no idea who to though.
