  1. Well I really hope the management and players have a better attitude towards the game than you do. They've been shite, we've been shite but having something to play for makes all the difference. Their entire team is looking over their shoulder at the moment. Their best want to leave, the rest suspect they be forced out and their manager is just wanting to go back to being a coach. This is the type of game where simply wanting it more will get you a result more often than not.
  2. No worries. I think there's plenty to be optimistic about 2bh. Motivation makes such a difference and we go into this on the high of getting through in the cup and a europa league group stage position to play for whilst every single one of those celtic players just want it to be over now. I don't care enough to look it up but this has been arguably their worst ever season so great is their capitulation. They will be half a yard off the pace I reckon, we just need to get in their faces and they will struggle. From that point of view it will be interesting to see if brown plays. 3-1 dons Kennedy, hendry and kamberi
  3. Huge win for us at the weekend and the tims come in on a huge downer after losing to the huns. Their season is over, a lot of them know they are leaving too so they really are there for the taking. We still have all to play for and we defo got better as the game went on against livi. A win on Wednesday would send us into the utd qf nicely and it puts pressure on hibs too. Coyr
  4. Mcburnie ruled out of the euros they injury. I'm sure we are all devastated at this news ??
  5. Really interested to see how Glass approaches this. Livi are no mugs and I would snap your hand off for any kind of victory regardless of how we play
  6. Jesus, talk about biting the hand that saved you. Budge doesn't deserve that however pish they have been. Great to see this thread back as it always make me smile. And keep it here for that matter, it's one of the quirks of the site and it has been for long enough to garner respect.
  7. Logan is ooc at the end of the season. Given how little he's played he won't be getting renewed you would think
  8. Regardless of what you think of brown he's force of nature and would raise the profile of the club a fair bit. There will be plenty of players out there that would be more interested in signing for us to work with him. I can understand why many are far from happy at the prospect of Scott brown at the club but objectively speaking can any of you honestly say you don't think he's a really good leader? Re glass, If you listen to the here we go podcast where they get atlantas club commentator on he goes really in depth into what glass has been up to. This guy came across as very switched on and not only did he speak highly of glass he said that was the feeling about him in the upper echelons of the club. When de boer was binned and glass stepped in as caretaker until the end of the season he was seen as a solid pair of hands by all concerned and not as a risky decision. He was also very clear that glass's remit with atlanta 2 was to develop players for the first team and results were basically irrelevant. In short if this does happen, whilst I'm yet to be convinced by the move, the half full side of me can see potential. It's certainly something different. No doubt this move has plenty of risk attached but.... my biggest criticism of Mcinnes was he was way too conservative. As such there's a big part of me that admires cormack for at least being prepared to roll the dice. The only other thought I have is that cormack did not get to where he has in life by hiring yes men. He'll have done his due diligence.
  9. I can assure you I'm far from convinced by this move should it happen but I wouldn't describe it as even remotely mediocre. Mediocre is bringing the likes of Alex fucking Miller in (I really don't like violence but if I ever met him I would have to fight the urge not to deck him in sight).
  10. Oh absolutely mate and I would pleased with his appointment. Can see Robson fitting very well into his management team too
  11. I could be totally wrong on this but I'm pretty sure Neil said a few years back he wasn't planning managing in Scotland again. I suspect he'll take a time out until the merry go round starts up again down south next season. There's a lot of clubs in the NE of England too so unless he's actively wanting to leave the area the smart move for him would be to sit tight.
  12. Really interested to see how Sheerin et Al approach this. They will want to impress and given however long they have in charge is a free swing for them I think they will set up a bit less conservatively. 3-1 dons
  13. Latest AFC here we go podcast is really good. Speak to a guy from atalanta on what glass has been up to out there. He sounded very switched on and spoke very highly of glass. Also had Derek rae on to talk about the dof structure at German clubs.
  14. Guess you would have found fergies appointment even more uninspiring having only been in charge of East Stirling and St Mirren then. I'm curious though, what sort of pedigree are you expecting? There was a boy on the radio from dons supporters together wanting Eddie Howe. Are you also that level of delusional as well or are you pragmatic enough to recognise he's highly unlikely to be interested in the Tim job let alone the Aberdeen one.
  15. I'd be happy with Goodwin, like the cut of his jib. Didn't work out too bad the last time we took St mirren manager either. Won't happen though. I will be quite surprised if cormack isn't planning to go the dof, head coach route and I can't see a manager like Goodwin being happy with that.
  16. I'd be happy with Goodwin, like the cut of his jib. Won't happen though. I will be quite surprised if cormack isn't planning to go the dof, head coach route. Whoever does take charge is probably going to be a bit of a left field appointment
  17. Not costing anything..
  18. This might have mileage. I have thought that he seemed a bit lacking in enthusiasm recently and I wouldn't be that surprised if he fancied a change of scenery. We do seem to have stagnated again after a fairly bright start to the season. Cormack would be keen to get his stonking salary off the wage bill too given how tight cash is due to covid. 2bh I've been of the opinion for a wee while that he isn't going to renew Mcinnes's contract next year for precisely this reason. To replace him with Glass though? That would be a bold move. He is free though. He was interim head coach at atalanta from the summer and has just been replaced by Heinze.
  19. Just saw this ?. Defo had his ups and downs as manager but he was a hell of a character. Smoking on the bench, red arrows, the interviews and quotes... His time with the club was certainly very memorable if not always for the right reasons ???. Loved his passion for the game though and I agree with Tom, his celebration for dows winner against hibs in the semi final is amazing. He also brought a few of my very favourite ever dons to the club. Zerouali and Stavrum in particular and bisconti was a superb player too. My best friend had a kid today, I'll be raising a glass to her safe arrival this eve but I'll be raising one for Mr Skovdahl too. RIP Ebbe, thanks for the memories.
  20. Another really good finish too, he has a eye for goal for sure.
  21. Paul mcginn from hibs too, don't know much about him. Would love to see Griffiths added to the squad too but not counting any chickens
  22. Considines been called up. Fucking delighted for him, well deserved.
  23. I have to say I know it wasn't the best to watch last night but the big positive for me performance wise was I thought we looked like a Steve Clarke side for the first time last night. Not a Steve Clarke side playing particularly well right enough but a Steve Clarke side nonetheless. Some of the hyperbole that has followed is ridiculous, we got through and bar one chance in extra time didn't give them a sniff. From where we have come from and especially given it was a virgin defence I will take that all day long.
  24. Picked up a bit now. Edmundson has made a difference.
