Id quite like to see Main and Anderson given a go 2bh. I think they would compliment each other quite well

I'm very interested to see how we line up today. It's not had much of a mention but Hernandes didn't even make the bench on Wednesday. I appreciate he has just come off his close season and will take time to get up to speed but for an 800k outlay not making the squad at all isn't a very good look.

Congrats and good luck Manc

I think we have a 30-35% chance of taking something on Sunday. No idea what defence we will go with but regardless we suit playing against teams that attack us.

A welcome change of strategy, performance and result. Credit to maine who showed he does have his merits and deserved his motm. The big question though is has mcinnes stumbled on the squads best formation as the back 3 looked great albeit against Hamilton? Just as intreaguing a question is do we go with a back 3 against celtic on Sunday?

Wind has completely fucked the second half. Plenty of endeavour from both sides it's has to be said.

If memory serves Patterson signed Heikkenen.

Basically Cormack has looked at the celtic model and thought "why can't we do that on a contextually smaller scale?". It does make sense too as I guess when you think about it the biggest selling point about playing in Scotland for a foreign player is the potential access to English football. As for Hernandez the fee for him seems to have been about 800k...... I'm sure we were all quite shocked by that. Its biggest outlay since the 90's and no-one saw it coming. I would love to know more about the deal, I'm sure Atlanta will defo have a finders fee percentage clause but who knows if they are contributing to the transfer fee or wages. Cormack seems canny and is used to working with yanks so there's a good chance this will be a deal that isn't shafting us. Ultimately I think we would all like to know the full ins and outs of this transfer because whatever else you want to speculate about I think it's pretty unarguable that this represents a HUGE change in transfer strategy. High risk? Well, riskier certainly but I'm not convinced of that. I don't think cormack or the board would be so reckless as to go high risk with the clubs finances. No, I think this is just some very welcome healthy ambition from the club and long may that continue.

Daal ended up doing quite well at County if memory serves. I never felt de visscher was given much of a chance by Calderplank 2bh. I quite liked the look of him.

Had a wee look on tribute act media. There were quite a few Gerrard get to fuck posts.
-
Kennedy reminds me of Hayes a wee bit.
-
Logan looked a little shaky first 30 mins I thought but then had great second half. Taylor did well too, he has defo come back a better player. Take that all day long, the huns will be gutted to dropping even more points and especially to us at home. Cunts.

That was my very first thought Manc. Its a very interesting, and exciting, but of business. It seems from his highlight reel at the copa America he can defo cross a ball and didn't look slow either. If no no 10 comes in I would guess Mcinnes is going for broke with a crosses into the box strategy. Regardless though, the club and manager should be commended for making such a bold bit of business. I would also add this signing likely wouldn't have happened without cormack park you would think.

We can but hope see bass.

Proven championship striker vs proven premiership striker. No, I would have Cosgrove over shankland though I think shankland has improved massively.

Completely agree Al. His transfer strategy has been appalling for 3 windows now and he has brought this on himself. I didn't even bother to watch today, Goodwin is a more than competent manager and we must be so easy to nullify right now. With literally only 3 attackers the Helen defence must have been rubbing their hands together before even warming up.

I wouldn't say we have ever been good team to watch under mcinnes but he has produced a couple of good sides the best being the 2016/17 season team or the 17/18 team (imo anyway) . It was unfortunate that we were up against an abnormally good celtic team otherwise I would have fancied us for a trophy or two. Since then though the fall in overall standard has gathered a fair bit of momentum and if it hadn't been for the emergence of Cosgrove last season we would likely have finished an AWFUL lot lower. In short it's impossible not to feel like it's gone incredibly stale at Aberdeen. The most frustrating thing for me is that it's not like the board have been extra stingy during this period, they seem to have backed their man to the best of their ability.... And it's impossible not to conclude that it has been invested very poorly. It's a fair point you make about oversight rocket. Why have the club allowed the manager to have such a, quite obviously, scattergun approach to transfer policy? I've said it before and I will say it again about Christie and Maclean. They have never been adequately replaced and having at least one player in the centre of the park that can take the ball under pressure and yet still find a way to move the ball forward is essential to Mcinnes's strategy. I appreciate on the budget available it isn't necessarily easy to sign players like that but what is annoying me is we don't even seem to be trying to. Forester and gleeson were the only attempt but that was a year and half ago. Should Mcinnes go? It's becoming increasingly harder to make any kind of case for his defence if one were so minded even including the huge severance fee that would need to be paid. That fee is what will keep him from being binned at the moment though. Come the end of the season and if things haven't shown a real improvement then we will get a real indicator to the cut of Cormacks jib.

Utd lose 2-0 at home to Burnley. Surely jotters for ole soon.
-
Another winger isn't the answer either.
-
You lost me at afc chat
-
Delighted to hear that, it is division one though so you wouldn't think he's got the trickiest wingers to face.
-
The squad has gone stale, there just haven't been enough ins and outs the past few seasons.
-
According to twitter both the hun and the retard are reporting Kennedy has signed.
-
Said this when we signed mcgeoch, good player but not what we need. Ferguson is highly unlikely to ever be an effective no 10 and we only really have 2 attacking outlets. Long to Cosgrove or trying to get to the byline and cross in. Very often its both at the same time. We have no guile in the middle of the park and haven't since Maclean and Christie left. This is Mcinnes's 3rd window at trying to do something about it and, given mcgeoch was unlikely to come cheap, it looks like 3rd time won't be the charm after all. Bryson isn't the answer either, he's just more of the same but nearing retirement. Our whole transfer policy the past few years has been nothing short of scattergun.
