  1. Even if we do bring in mcgrath and ronan we are still light for strikers if cr9 goes. Never gonna happen but I would love Bruce Anderson back.
  2. There's defo grounds for optimism. The one I'm most curious about is stewart. As I said prior I have pal who's quite knowledgeable on the English lower leagues and he thinks he is tremendous business for us. We defo lack a bit of leadership at the back and I'm hoping he brings it. He's only 5'10 as well which adds a bit more intrigue too but abz did a pod with a guy from a Wycombe pod who assured this is nothing to worry about. Interestingly we still have a fair few Mcinnes players left in the first team squad now. Mcrorie Hayes Lewis Ferguson Mackenzie Can we include barron? We will probably be down fergie by the end of the window I reckon. He's only got 2 years left and he ain't signing a new deal.
  3. No harm to the lad but I didn't see much of a player in there. Seemed to put a shift in at least
  4. I have thought about this also, he's a very good pen box striker at this level. Thing is I'm not convinced he would be number one cf under Goodwin and at his stage in his career I can't see him accepting that.
  5. Aye, ditto. I was genuinely surprised he came back for pre season but I suppose there are affairs to tie up and a free trip to Spain with the lads to enjoy (and who could blame him for wanting that).
  6. P&j reporting we are willing to listen to offers for ramirez
  7. Aye but it wasn't originally supposed to go like that though and you would think dunne would have been part of the original deal of we were after him.
  8. If we were wanting dunne it would have been part of the Gallagher I would have thought.
  9. I didn't say I was getting excited. I said this window doesn't feel as scattergun as the last two. Of course they could all be a disaster, very transfer is a gamble, but we seem to be being far more considered in who are we bringing in this window.
  10. Credit where its due, so far our transfers this window haven't had the scattergun feel of the last two
  11. He's able to get plenty power without much back lift on his leg, defenders don't like that as I gives them even less time to set themselves.
  12. Sounds like this boy could be a really good bit of business. Boyce is a interesting one, really good penalty box striker imo and even at 31 I would expect plenty of goals from him should this be anything other than paper talk. If he did come in though surely that means ramirez is defo away?
  13. Pal of mine who follows lower league football down south says Stewart is tremendous business for us.
  14. Whether it's worth it or not will ultimately come down to how well he performs when he does play. If he's solid as hell and a key member of a team that gets us into Europe/Cup success then you can argue it's a successful bit of business however much it might leave a bad taste in the mouth loaning from the tims. I think it's fair to say though that he's probably never breaking into the celtic team regardless of how well he does with us. If he does well and enjoys his time here that could naturally lead to a permanent move like what nearly happened with Christie.

    Ramsay

Klopp classically operates a small squad so I think he will get a fair crack of the whip.
  16. Fair play to him for broadening his horizons
  17. I didn't pay that much attention 2bh mate. That is a shame for Robson, that would have been a great gig for him. You can understand why they took JM though
  18. Ross in advance talks with the jutes. Got a feeling he might do alright there. Could be a couple of tasty trips to Tannadice next season.
  19. That looks a pretty solid bit of business for Sevcove. It will be interesting to see macintyre and dodds face each across a dugout.
  20. He did brilliant, let's be honest. I did wonder if he was going to be a one season wonder but it's interesting he was being courted (no pun intended) by euro clubs (rijeka interviewing him was mental given their resource). Perhaps our league has a wee bit more profile these days.
  21. There's a few I've got to contest there. Di rocco was nothing more than average at best, snelders was signed pre 92 so doesn't fit the criteria as with ten caat but mixu is fine. He signed in 92. Solberg though? Oh panda, I think you need to go and think about what you have done
  22. Not panda but these guys spring to mind Bisconti Heikenen Stavrum Zerouali Kjaer Kiriakov (didn't set the heather alight but he was a solid rb I thought)
  23. Watched a few videos of lauritsen, he's probably about 6'3 but looks reasonably light on his feet. He's got that kinda gangly run that Peter crouch had. Hard to say too much about his ability though he showed pretty decent technique here. Another thing I noted is that he seems very popular with his team mates. He gets a hatrick in another reel and you could tell they were delighted for him. That suggests he puts a shift in potentially. Defo different to what we have
  24. Fair but you misunderstand, I didn't think he would come back to Scotland at all.
  25. Genuinely shocked by that
