Say what you like about Stockley but the Celtic cb's really did not like playing against him. Goal one was Taylor being Taylor, he has to go. Goals 2 and 3 had elements of freak about both of them. Logan's clearance could have gone anywhere and 999 times out of 1000 Lewis puts that shot by the post. Rodgers attempt at mind games after was fairly pathetic

'Singing Section' (Sic) - Cup Final

League cup final was a Sunday if memory serves, that would defo have an impact on the volume of booze consumed pre-match. Well I would certainly be taking it a bit easier on the sauce if I had to work on monday anyway. This being a Saturday 3 pm will make a big difference on that which will likely to have an impact on the overall atmosphere. Here's hoping anyway. -
 Great post but you're defo a bit of a cunt, the bit in bold made me laugh just as I was taking a mouthful of tea.

A pal of mine went to school with Maloney and she said he was a really smart kid. He's not shy of a few bob and might be keen to work with DM, assuming of course he is still here next season. Getting a player like Maloney in would be great as long as we weren't paying him to much

Oooo, I'm going to this one also. I'll let you know closer to the time of I'll make the rock

To have any hope of winning the cup I really think we have to beat them this friday. If we can manage that then our players get the psychological lift of ending their unbeaten season hopes as well as knowing they can actually win against them. As for celtic? Well there could be no argument that they would be pissed off which would give them an added motivation in the cup final but it would also plant that seed of doubt in their minds that it's still possible to get pipped at the post despite the season they have had. If we win friday i would give us a 1 in 4 chance to win the cup, if we don't it's about 1 in 10 in my eyes.

I've always liked Smith and hope he is given a chance on his return.

No they're not, they are essentially owned by global energy and McGregor runs them as a tax loss. It's a house of cards that will eventually collapse. I've got inside info on that btw.

Fascinating game. Chuffed for Rooney to get the goal and it was a peach of a finish which I felt was completely overshadowed by it's early arrival. Christie's free kick get's better everytime I watch it, I'm not even sure you can blame the wall or keeper for it either which says a lot. The midfield played well and carried us through that despite the worst efforts of the defence..... I'm going to moan now. Taylor was appallingly bad for both goals. If he had stayed with holt for the first he would have had it easily as Holt didn't even have to jump. If he hadn't watched the ball and tracked the runner for goal no2 he would likely intercept the pass and at worst have the opportunity to block the shot. I was raging when Reynolds got hooked and not Taylor but he did make some amends with a top drawer last ditcher with only a few minutes left. If AOC had started ahead of him i think we would have coasted the game. Ultimately we jammed it a bit today today, we threw away a 2 goal lead when coasting and all because HIbs took on a lumbering 36 yo. Rooney was completely isolated for most of the game, the defence was jumpy and if it wasn't for Shinnie, Jack and Maclean we would have been stuffed. We have 5 games to get our act together if we want to have any hope of winning the final. Dont get me wrong I'm delighted to get to the final, result will always come ahead of performance with me but we made hard work of that. -

There's a very interesting analysis of this over on wings, well worth a read regard less of your constitutional leaning. https://wingsoverscotland.com/rushing-to-the-gallows/#more-93827

Can't see the tories taking any seats from the snp under fptp and I suspect the one they have in Scotland is on a shoogly peg. Mundel only won his seat by a few hundred votes as it was. I'm not sure where Tories can really make gains down south, virtually all the labour seats are safe and the lib dems are more likely to recapture lost seats than lose any more to them. Far from increasing her majority May could lose it altogether.

And yet the evidence suggests otherwise. I suspect I'm pissing in the wind pointing out evidence to you given the content of your posts though it never hurts to try.

I'd be happy to get devlin. I'd still be interested in Ali Crawford despite his recent mediocre form too. I think he would thrive in a better side.
-
I like Christie, thought he was a very talented player at ICT and i would love to keep him. I must admit the shaky defence descriptions do not fill me with confidence for next weekend, Hibs will come at us you would think

Maclean is now having to get used to being a focus for the opposition team, so much goes through him and he's become a bit of target. I would be interested to see his stats for being fouled for the past year, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see it increase in the past few months. I agree about end product though, we defo need to see a little more of him goal/assist wise.

Whatever happens Deek needs to get this nonsense pinned up on the wall in the dressing room. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39581434

I really don't think this is the time to be shifting two of the most settled positions in the team. I would love to see Shinnie at LB as much as anyone, hell I advocated his signing as a LB for long enough but DM is never going to break up the cm partnership that has served him so well this season. Ultimately AC and GS made their respective positions their own quite a while ago and I would advocate keeping them there for now. That said I'm sure AC would still prefer to be playing CB but I think it's pretty clear that Shinnie prefer's CM. After Sunday I wouldn't be that surprised to see DM make a change to the cb pairing but if Reynolds does come back in it's probably going to be for AOC. I don't think he will though, I think it will be the same starting line up as Sunday. Regardless though we better be seeing a reaction after the trauma of Sunday.

Interesting. They have had managers on one year rolling since O'Neill. I wonder if they have done this to ensure a good fee if someone comes in for him. I'll be very surprised if he's here for another 4 years.

I watched the last ryder cup quite closely which was a first for me. Are we expecting a good masters golf fans?
-
Not heard that before, when was this said? I think he signed him primarily because he is really quick and that's not a quality we have in other strikers. That he was OOC and probably not relatively expensive probably clinched it. I do wonder if DM had been planning to play two up top more often this season but binned it because it wasn't working.

They really look pretty fucked right now
