  1. How to make yourself a cult hero in one easy step. Fuck me we were awful..... in a stage way that makes it all the more satisfying
  2. At Hampden too, what's the point of that? Easter road would have been perfect.
  3. I really hope he goes O'Connor and Reynolds at the back, they are our best pairing by a distance and regular run together would do a lot for our goals conceded tally. The resting of Reynolds for the saints game gives me hope he will be back in for taylor, the fear is DM shows to much respect and plays OC in midfield. I would go Lewis Logan AOC Reynolds Considine Mcginn (has to play imo, his tim loyalties work to our advantage here) Maclean Shinnie Hayes if fit, Burns if not Maddison (I know I've advocated 4-4-2 recently but the kids got talent and can't be left out now) Rooney The huns wouldn't know what's hit them. As for the match it's hard to call, we never really hump teams but if we got an early goal I could see it. They really are stinking at the back Ever the glass half full kinda guy I'm gonna go 4-0 Sadly out, big shindig the day before Bed then maybe couch with Beer/tea depending on depth of hangover Couch Couch Ever the glass half full kinda guy I'm gonna go 4-0 Mcginn, Shinnie Maclean and Rooney.

    Films

Only David lynch movie I ever watched was lost highway. Genuinely one of the worst films I have ever seen.
  5. I heard him spouting said Shiite in the radio A, he's a fucking fud.
  6. Credit to kerr who marked Hayes well, I'll be keeping an eye on him he could be a good replacement for Logan if he decides to leave
  7. He described it as very soft, man's a buffoon.
  8. Andy walker is a cunt. The defender clearly makes contact with man before ball. Good result and performance
  9. Really? I thought he looked pretty handy when he first came in, good in the air, good first touch and good awareness of what was around him. If Stockley and Rooney were given 3-4 games in a row to try and find an understanding they could be a cracking partnership! Lets face it, Ash Taylor is unlikely to be getting dropped and he does like that long diagonal ball up the park. Stockley is the one player in the squad that is capable of doing something with such passes on a consistent basis. Rooney is no target man, he's a poacher and whilst I would not describe us as a long ball team as such we do use it far more than we should without an actual target man to aim for.
  10. sadly not, only a couple of quid. Still very satisfying though.
  11. Now 6, I've got 7-0 at 35/1
  12. I've said it before, DM is very cautious manager and it's really starting to get frustrating. This is something that needs to change, the balance to the current squad clearly favours a far more attacking approach yet we persevere with the 4231 despite not having enough midfielders. To get the most out of current squad a cavalier 442 makes far more sense imo. I would go with. Lewis logan O.Connor Reynolds Shinnie Mcginn Storie Maclean (who is clearly having a bit of tough time of it but not playing as badly as has been made out) Hayes Rooney Stockley With Burns, Storey, Maddison and a possibly returning to form Pawlett there's a lot of attacking strength in depth as well and, if you ask me, this lineup in this formation would hand out a fair few shoeings. We might concede a couple more but not that many, that back 5 has got real potential.
  13. The board will stick by him even if we lose all 3 for the simple reason he's contracted till 2019. To be honest I think we have regressed despite some good strengthening this summer which is concerning. We're too cautious, I really want to see us go for the jugular from the off. Given how top heavy we are it now makes sense to play 442 as standard imo.
  14. Give him a fucking chance then Derek
  15. Word. Rooney would have been a better option play with Larsson in terms of a compatable player. Lennon would be a far better option than Souness
  16. Sadly so in some cases
  17. I'll be totally honest Kow, reading through that old thread was more interesting than Mackie's fledgling coaching career. Proper blast from the past stuff
  18. I would be a bit surprised if he went, he did say early in pre season when there was speculation about that he had no desire to move. I suspect it might be different story if, say, a team like Newcastle came in for him though. So we look to be signing an att mid? Not really the player we are needing regardless of a 6 mill price tag, I would much prefer to get Ness. if we don't sign someone of his ilk expect at least 4 months of Shinnie in midfield.
  19. It's certainly not the way I would have gone but I'm way more cavalier about such things.
  20. In the universe where we were the better side for the second half, celtic never looked like scoring until the depressingly predictable dodgy pen. If it had gone 2-2 at any point leading up to that we would have been worth it. That said I don't disagree with some of your other points. One of the frustrating things about DM is he is far too cautious and that clearly showed with the attempt to stifle Celtic. I can understand the logic, they're on fire going forward and have been particularly potent straight from the traps so keep it tight at the back to frustrate the sizeable crowd before growing into the game. It might have worked too if not for a Griffiths worldie. Within this context whether we like it or not he was unlikely to take the game to them from KO. I don't for a second buy that MacInnes didn't think we could have them though. Flood might have been useful yesterday I grant you but he could just as easily been a red card inside half an hour. He's lost a yard of place and hasn't adapted his challenges to match. I suspect he was let go on a free because he was on quite big money and unlikely to feature much this season. It's the lack of an adequate replacement that's the problem with him leaving not that he left. There's no doubt that they were there for the taking and yes we could have played better but there were still some positives to take from the game. Lots of other valid points have been made re Smith, Mckenna and Wright, I'd love to see them get more game-time. I was chuffed for CS to get a loan to utd but I did wonder at the time if we were missing a trick letting him go but, then, I've always rated the kid. It does seem that DM's honeymoon is well and truly over though. Combine some baffling tactical decisions (with a particular penchant for for playing key players out of position), an increasingly hit or miss transfer record (including outs and failure to address the lack of options in one position whilst being overstaffed in others) and the refusal to give youth a chance and you get a clearly growing and understandable frustration amongst the support. If things continue like they are it won't be too long until there are calls for his head from some sections. Given the board is highly unlikely to want to pay out a 2019 contract I don't see that happening anytime soon. I suspect we are going to have to continue to suck it up for a while and hope it gets better. Tom's signature springs to mind. I must confess I have contemplated that I would not be particularly gutted if DM was poached by another club and we were to take Tommy Wright from ST J......
  21. We showed to much respect until we scored. The second half we were the better side but still looked a bit nervy. Shinnie was outstanding, as was logan. Maclean looked far more like himself and played some nice balls in the second half. I also thought taylor played well fwiw. It's a galling result when we were easily worth a point, never a pen in a million years
  22. Straight red but it wasn't that bad
  23. I'm actually feeling quietly confident about tom. They are worse at defending against crosses than hammer horror vampires.
  24. Tru dat but he's better than what we currently have and we're starting to get to beggars can't be choosers territory. We all know how fickle football fans are, a few good performances and one of those free kicks would do a lot to shorten memory's. Disclaimer, I say all this on the assumption he would predominantly play as a def mid. If he was signed and started getting games at LB I would be fucking raging. 10 k a week? Surely not. I wouldn't want to pay through the nose for him but if his terms were reasonable it has potential to be a good move.
