  1. Rico I think you are overestimating the tribute act at the moment, I really do. I've been checking in on their forums since the Kiev result and when you filter out all the knuckle draggers the more football savvy hun is very depressed right now. The consistent message is basically "we are terrible, worse than we were last season, broke, temporarily homeless and it's going get worse and really toxic cos we are not equipped for a thursday-sunday schedule, I'm more depressed now than i was in 2012 as at least there was hope then" One was even smart enough to put it together that they are probably going to be 8 points behind us (not that I'm taking that for granted but I can understand why we will be favourites to beat Motherwell) by the time they kick off against Utd and they are very worried about that Utd game I might add. Clement is looking like a rabbit in the headlights after a promising beginning and one poster said "we just need him standing in a bush now", a lot of them have turned on him. I don't think it matters what they are spending 2bh because they clearly are not spending it well. 2nd place is well up for grabs imo, I'm not saying we will defo get it, it's a long season after all, but I think it should be seen as a realistic target given how we have started. I mean, if we are going to do it this is probably how it looks to begin with. It should also be recognised that this isn't all about the huns being shite. Sure, that's necessary, but despite being a work in progress we are looking far better than I expected us to at this stage. It's not unfair to say the fixture list has been kind to us but pre Thelin coming in the door the biggest question mark was how we were going to do against teams that sat in. So far, so good on that front and I don't know about anyone else but I'm really looking forward to the Dundee away game at the end of the month because this will be the first time we play someone that is actually going to try and have a go at us. As for that work in progress it's also worth noting just how much time on the training pitch Thelin is getting with his players compared to his counterparts at rivals. I think that is a real silver lining for not getting into Europe btw, Thelin is getting plenty time in his first season to work with his squad and I genuinely believe we will see performances improve steadily throughout the season as a result far more than we would if we had a European campaign to negotiate. All in I think we have a hell of a chance of getting second, i certainly don't think they are overtaking us in the table anytime soon.
  2. How about Dirthy Filthy Hun Scumbag Vermin (deceased and tribute act that followed).
  3. It really is a strange one, my feeling is there is more going on with him than just wanting a move.
  4. I have the fear about getting him on a new contract
  5. I was in the paddock at the side and had a really good view of the stand. It was obvious this would happen if there was a late winner as the stand was rammed and if you look at the footage and watch the crowd people are getting shoved onto the pitch before the ball has even hit the back of the net. For those at the front there was nowhere else to go but forward such was the scale of the bounce. People then got carried away and started going onto the pitch to celebrate which is a bit cringe given its only county away. That said it was still a big goal for us and that game was INTENSE all the way through. It really was some bounce when we scored, you can't beat a last minute winner.
  6. Glorious
  7. Hearts will go first you would think, clement just signed a new deal
  8. Possibly time we remove the "green abondons ship" from this thread title, no? Loads of juicy schadenfruede to be had over on hun media. The poor wee zombie bears are awfa depressed and some of the clearer thinkers of them have clocked that even getting second place is under threat they are so bad. A lot of them are even saying words to the effect that this is worse than being liquidated because they see no reason for hope at all. You can understand it too! Skint, homeless, clueless on the park, clueless in the transfer market and the leadership acumen being shown by the board would genuinely be improved by hiring David Brent. Inject that shit right into my veins cos that's never getting old.
  9. Oh they are shit alright and they are going to get worse I reckon. They don't have the depth for europe and Clement is already under huge pressure. I was just having a look at a hun forum there and a lot of them want him gone already. One of the more switched on huns managed to put it together that by the next time they play, Tannadice in a fortnight, they will likely be 8 points behind us as we play Motherwell the day before. If so and they drop points at utd it's going to get so toxic.
  10. Tims one up with half an hour gone and the huns are looking out of ideas already. We have a massive opportunity to take second this season cos they are not going to deal with a Thursday-Sunday schedule well.
  11. The crowd stuck with the team too. There was no point they were getting on their back even when Ambrose was making some really silly decisions. There's a real unity at the club at the moment, stronger than I've ever seen 2bh, and long may it continue. It's nice to see us top of the league but if I put on my pragmatic hat I think I want celtic to stuff them tomorrow. We can't keep pace with them long term but if they win we are 5 clear of der hun and they ain't clawing that back too quickly I don't think.
  12. Mitovs post matcher on RTV is worth a watch.
  13. That's about 5 seats away from where I was funnily enough. The sun had just gone down too, it was such a pain in the arse all game and this was the first attack where I wasn't squinting.
  14. Taking Keskinen off defo had some confused looks in the stands but I have to say Morris was effective when he came on. I think the took on the fb 3 times, beat him 3 times and got a decent balls in 3 times. Just watched the goal back there, the assist from him was much better than I realised at the time. It would have been easy to lob it in the box but he's shown really good instinct to keep it on the deck and find the players in space. And it was instinct too, if you watch closely he's not looked up from the moment he gets the ball. Lovely wee step over from Devlin as well. Chefs kiss the finish from Nisbet, he was fairly anonymous for the majority of the game but given how stodgy and thuggish county were there wasn't much in the way of service coming his way. It really was a clinical strike too, right in the corner. Here's hoping he goes on a run but it's brilliant he's off the mark early and even more so with a last minute winner. Let's not forget Mitov though. Tell you what I can understand why the farmers were gutted to lose him. What an unbelievably shrewd bit of business he has been and this win was earned by him as much as Nisbet. The penalty award was such a sickener and I didn't really see what happened due to the distance and sun. It was such a brilliant feeling when he saved it though and now having rewatched it ....... That's probably the best penalty save I've seen from a dons keeper since Theo's in the 90 Cup final. There was nothing wrong with the penalty and most goalies wouldn't get close to that even if they guessed the right way. It genuinely might be worth giving him a pay rise and extending his deal already because I would not be at all surprised if bigger fish weren't sniffing about him soon. On a personal note I really enjoyed being part of the crowd again and the away support was excellent all game.
  15. County playing like hearts under levein. Anyone see a replay of that bad foul at the end? Looked a red from the other side of the pitch
  16. Possibly, or maybe he's just figured out modern life is rubbish dead early.
  17. He looks a wee bit like a young Damon Albarn with his hair like that Good move for the kid, the championship is so competitive.
  18. Kudos, I'll never not admire that attitude. Did similar myself a few times but not to that extent so you have absolutely earned my respect. Hug them tight OD, mine was old but it was still sudden
  19. That's really kind of you to say fellas, thank you . And yes manc, I've got a lot of optimism for the season which is a nice distraction. Football manager was my saviour 2bh panda, my boss was amazing and just gave me the week off but I was in real danger of falling in a big ol pit of jager meister. Champo saved me from that, I could actually get lost in it and was able to do a lot of subconscious processing whilst playing. I pinky swear I didn't mention it for sympathy btw, just felt I should explain my prolonged absence from attending given how opinionated I am about the dons .
  20. I'm actually attending this one, my first game in years! It's a little bittersweet though, the reason I've not been to a game in ages is as my dog got older I just wanted to spend as much time with him as I could and bar county away any game is an all day affair for me. I had to say goodbye to him last month and fuck me it is tough. It will be nice to be part of it again though so I'm very much looking to this. County way is never usually easy but if we take the lead I can't see us not winning. An early lead and I think we may turn them over quite convincingly too. The only question mark about line up would be whether Sokler starts. He really seemed to fade against Killie and Nisbet may be preferred. 3-0 dons. No idea on scorer 2bh but I do hope Nisbet and Sokler can get a goal.
  21. Really solid pre match presser from Nisbet on RTV. I'm starting to wonder if he's actually a closet dandy 2bh, he seems very genuine with just how much he wanted to come to Pittodrie. Early days yet but my fears of lack of professionalism are waning quite significantly.
  22. Aye they have got that, apparantly fergie donated cash to it as well. The big news is former chairman Alan Savage is back in charge of the club and was key in securing the investment. I don't think it's a long term move for him, he's just in charge until he can find someone suitable to take on the job. As an Invernesian I was pretty worried about ICT, it would have been a disaster for the town and the highlands in general if the club had gone to wall. All the fans I know are very relieved right now, fingers crossed they get straight back up this season and hopefully back up to the top flight in due course.
  23. ICT have massively got their house in order the past few weeks. I think it might be a decent move for him now.
  24. Shinnaissance Take a bow slim
  25. We have played some great stuff so far with Sokler the only player a bit quiet. Gueye took his goal well and has generally looked like a football at points. Some ball in from Shinnie but if anyone is getting an assist for that it should be Nilsen. 3 times I think he regained possession just outside the box in the build up to keep the pressure on.
