  1. In nice coincidence the spfl facebook page just posted the highlights of this very match TC
  2. Och I think you boys are being a little harsh on Dodd's. He was a decent enough striker and had a knack for scoring important goals. I wasn't gutted when he left right enough but he had his moments. I'll always remember Dodds with a bit of fondness for the 95 league cup semi against the huns. That was the day I truly fell in love with football. The bounce for the second was as good as I have ever been in.
  3. 22 Attempts on goal against slovakia with 7 on target. He didn't get away with one, we were the better side throughout. Martin was excellent when he came on, Anya set up the goal and macarthur continued to keep hamsik quiet. On analysis his subs were effective. I understand the dislike for him but he got it done last night and if not for an inspired performance from the keeper it would have been far more comfortable.
  4. Very much this. I think Strachan is a good manager but his selections both for squads and line ups have had me pull my hair out on numerous occasions. That said I don't think he got too much wrong last night. I would have preferred Fraser last night too but Anya and Martin combined for the goal..... His changes won the game so credit where it's due and even when it was 11 v 11 we were looking the better side. red tinted specs off, how good a player has Leigh Griffiths become the past two years? The roar that went up just in the pub when we won the free kick that he ended up hitting the bar with was incredibly expectant. In all honesty I would love to see him get a shot in a big league.
  5. The Slovenia game is on Sunday.....
  6. Looking really solid today, Maclean is doing fine i might add.
  7. I think he's better than Leighton in that he's a modern keeper. JL struggled to adapt to things like the pass back rule and wasn't great with high balls. Theo remains the best I ever saw play for us but I think there's a good argument to be made that he's the best since.
  8. Young is a fanny no question but there's plenty of times be argues points he doesn't really believe to play devils advocate and stimulate debate. I bet he would be an interesting man to have a few beers with.
  9. Awful, miracle they didn't score!
  10. I'm looking for a favour from someone if at all possible. My weekend just freed up and I'd really like to go, just phoned the club and they say they are not posting tickets out anymore (I live in Inverness). They also don't do any kind of collection from the ground so I was wondering off anyone going to the game that lives in Aberdeen could pick a ticket up for me and I'll get you in Edinburgh? Defo be a pint or two in it for you. Pm if you are willing. Cheers
  11. 4 year deal for a 35yo that hasn't played in 6 months Utterly batshit
  12. Yeah he would have been immense. Most bonkers transfer I have heard in a while has happened. Grant Hanley to Norwich on a 4 year deal!
  13. And that's why Adam Rooney is defo worth keeping
  14. 2-2 , maclean pen a bit soft but there was defo a push on christie and he went down
  15. looking good going forward but awful at the back!
  16. Got a link Rico?
  17. We can but dream kfp
  18. 11th minute wearing 83 he scores on his home debut. This boy is doing to win so many games for us! Fact.
  19. There's some excellent schadenfraude available over on hun media fyi
  20. Good to know, thanks Tom.
  21. A question for those who know more about construction etc. If kingsford is approved phase 1 is the training facility. How long would this take to become functional? Would it be possible to have operational by the end of the season?
  22. No one bit, combination of 3 factors. It would involve either major redevelopment of the existing stadium or complete demolition and start over. Where would we play in the 1-2 years whilst this was going on? Tannadice? Dens? fuck that. There's also no money from the sale of the land and educated opinion on modern stadium standards says we would end up with nearly half the current capacity. Again, fuck that. Overall it just doesn't seem worth pursuing to me. The bang to buck ratio is far higher with moving than it is remaining, location seems a fairly small price to pay imo. There's a very obvious one. It will be a fair bit cheaper to build training facilities as part of one complex then on two sites.
  23. How I felt about JC and his tenure is irrelevant, horrible disease and i wish him a swift end when it comes. Personally If i ever got that diagnosis I would be giving a family member power of attorney to take me to Switzerland once it got bad enough.
