Jimmy: Michael Stewart does not go down too easy
SuperKev82 replied to Aberdeen_Ladette's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
It's not exactly a bright idea to slag off players you may look to sign in future though is it. There's no doubt Stewart loves a dive but as Funster says he could hardly say something when he didn't know for sure either. -
Jim Spence was reporting the sacking on radio scotland around half six tonight. He mentioned Jimmy Nicholls name along with a number of others. I even thought he would be linked with this when i heard Rae got the dunt. Nicholl would have to jack it with us as there's no way they could give us compensation. The big question is does he even want the job? Would be very surprised.

Anyway just watched the "highlights" on the beeb site. That prick Macleod just won't say a good word about us will he!! He reckons that Bullen never even fouled Seve when he got sent off. Deary me he clearly went for the man before the ball.
-
Well he did knock the ball on to Consi who in turn put in a decent cross to Miller. minijc does seem to love Kerr though, decent enough player neat and tidy. A player you only spot when the rest are poor. Maybes minijc is shaggin his wife or summit
-
You're worried permanently though eh
-
I imagine he got a fair bit of abuse down there off our lot. Quite right too he was disgrace for us last season!
-
Not listened to the redtv coverage for ages prob since it first came on the scene infact. The beeb coverage involves that cock Mcleod and i'm not on about Murdo either! The afc coverage is always worth a chuckle biast as fuck too. Plus there's always the chance of some random player will be co commentating alongside Dave McD. Charlie Mulgrew maybes? Team, Clangers Seve Diamond Mair Consi Foster Duff Kerr Young Miller Mackie subs, Hogdekiss, JDV, Smith, Aluko, Maguire, McDonald, Bateman Interesting Bloody strong bench no excuse not to change things if needed.
-
I'd agree with that on seeing it a 2nd time. Even if he took it past the keeper on his left peg there's a fair chance the line would've been covered for someone to clear.

I know my post is kinda general waffle. But there are guys i know who have season tickets and see them play there only who weren't even happy with our home form last season. Our home form was outstanding with only three defeats in the league (off the top of my head). The away form was atrocious that there is no doubt maybe our run in the cups and europe concealed the form in the league. You've got to remember though we did play a huge amount of games last season and lost key players. Hart and Clark (your fav eh Doc) both left in the Jan window and also Smith was virtually out the rest of the season three big players for us. Take three key players away from any team outside the filth and you'll see them struggle. There was a big dip in form in Feb where we only won 1 game in 8. We shipped 23 goals and scored 9. This period is very timid compared to that. The defeat to Killie is the only one which can be classed as one which was an embarrasing one. We were poor against Hamilton that there is no doubt where they beat us through a very speculative goal. The same can be said for the united game they were utter utter shite and were gifted the pen. Sadly we were clueless as to how to break them down. Two defeats that have come in succession which come across far worse than they are. Knocking the ball about and creating chances is not the problem(just look at the 2nd goal against cellic) now it's about keeping it tight at the back. Things will change in our favour that i have no doubt, we'll soon be looking back on this in month or two with some decent victories under our belts. Let the slaggin commence

That article is a joke really and totally jumps the gun. Something that i didn't expect from an article of Grants. To say he's lost the fans is absolute rubbish. There's those who just simply don't like him, can't stand his tactics and style of football and those stuck in the past that don't realise how football has changed so much in the last 15 years. While there are others who realise he's doing a decent enough job considering the resources he has. As others have said it's only 6 games in so to sack him now is just ludicrous. The players think a lot of JC- his training is said to be great there's no doubt the likes of Aluko and Mulgrew wouldn't have signed if he hadn't been at the club. He gets sacked after such a short period into the season and we will go backwards players will think twice about signing as they'll never know when the next manager could be sacked. This season will be a total and utter write off!!

i thought yesterdays "performance" was far worse than the one against the mighty caley. Their keeper had fuck all to do but pick the ball out of the net. His kicking was diabolical, each time he kicked out from the right of his box it went out for a throw or their player scrambled across to keep it in. Not once did one of our players gamble in winning one of these kicks when it looked to be staying in play. The passing was terrible at times with no clear pattern of play at all. Langfield- Nowt to do other than pick the ball out the net twice, possibly could've done better for the 2nd. Seve- The captain of this side but i never seen any emotion from him. No desire to take the game by the scruff of the neck when put into midfield with 30 mins of play left. Considine- Out muscled for the 2nd. Foster- Posted missing for the 1st. Mulgrew- Shocking freekicks and corners, exposed a number of times down his side. Young- Did very little. McDonald- Scored. Looked to be linking up well with Miller when coming from deep. Kerr- Tidied up here and there. One shocking free kick late on!! Aluko- Some nice touches. His tracking back is absymal though. Miller- Workrate was poor today. Good assist for the goal. Mackie- Missed a decent chance just before ht Can see some changes coming for sat. The way he's happy to drop De Visscher like a hot tattie he's got no excuse for not doing the same with Young. In doing so he should be replaced by De Visscher as he can be a big player for us when the rest of the team turn up. His crossing is far better and his link up play with the strikers is good while he can put in some decent corners also.

The Womens final is being played in the early hours of tomorrow mornin 2 am. The final was rained off yesterday (New York time) not today. So there's nothin to say Murrays match won't start.

Is there not a huge risk of theses tickets getting into the wrong hands? Seems very dodgy.

Just seen the game on the bbc site which they more or less describe as a smash and grab job. Of what i could gather from the radio and now the highlights st midden only had two clear cut chances. But we also had chances of a similar nature plus our goal, even if it was flukey. So why claim it was against the run of play bbc? As for the Miller "pen" incident i have no idea having watched it a number of times. At first it looks like he slips and loses his footing on the other hand it looks like he might have stuck his right peg out to claim contact off their defender. Not sure he would've got a clear shot on goal anyway as there was a defender coming across to cover. They never showed the Dargo kick on Consi' was this a red card offence? Hib- Murderwell Fletcher scored a goal which was "offside" and they also had another chalked off which wasn't shown. Decent enough finish from Sutton but no mention of a smash and grab for them!! Ushited - Killie Great 2nd goal from Killie nice pass Tahouil (sp) Falkirk - Caley Some ball jugglin from Tokely in the middle of the park which they nearly scored from has to be seen to be believed!!! Enjoyin yer time there Jackie, when's yer hammy due to go again!!? Hamilton- Circus Act Looked like the circus lot were lucky here as Hamilton gifted them their second and should've scored a 2nd themselves. Offiong mishitting the ball at the end of the highlights was a classic you've been framed moment!!! :rofl2:

Rangers game - Worst Aberdeen Player Poll
SuperKev82 replied to mizer's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Went for Foster as he made some shocking cross field passes, his crossing from deep was also pretty poor to say the least. -
Worst Refereeing Performance ever?
SuperKev82 replied to glasgow sheep's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Have to agree on this one of the worst performances i've ever seen, he was shocking for both teams. Iain Brines i think was the ref in question. :hammer: -
Can we afford to play Foster on Saturday?
SuperKev82 replied to mizer's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
What makes you think he'll even be playing for them anyway Mizer he's hardly a stick on for them is he and why would he be playin at left wing? -
So did i Had on a nugget for each score i predicted. Got the dandies at 11/1 and also the filth to win 2-0 at 6/1. 7 points scored today.
-
It's nae that bad TF shirley!? Foster is a joke at RB that's there is no doubt, play him at right wing or don't play him at all. Other than foster the back wasn't too bad. Mulgrew had a few ropey moments but Seve and Consi weren't as dodgy as the begining of last seasons opener. Totally agree Smith in the hole or upfront are his best positions by far, right wing or left wing he's hopeless. There was absolutely no drive from midfield at all- McDonald was pretty anomymous to say the least. It's only one game though and these things will improve as long as JC gives it a chance to do so.
-
The debate of the formation is about to rear it's again i reckon. JC is set to do his usual early season tinkering like fuck by playing 352 against murderwell. He won't want to drop considine but won't want to leave diamond on the bench again either. By playing this formation he'll feel that we'll get the best out of smith in a free role. By playing this formation our pattern of play will go all to pot due to half the players not knowing where they should be.
-
Fair point there he's a serious joke when it comes to defending. Maybury was nowt special last season but atleast he could defend consistently over the course a game. Didn't think Miller was all that great myself but the service he got was dire. Good shift from Kerr- cut out a few of their moves which may have resulted in more goals!
-
Caption Comp for this one shirley! We finished 4th in the league, reached two semi finals in the cups and reached the last 32 of the Uefa Cup and the fans were still not happy!!!

Tommy Wright deal on verge of collapse...or is it?
SuperKev82 replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
would expect the signing to be announced tomorrow as he is fit, so passing the medical is not going to be a problem. -
Right enough i forgot the Manure game, such a distant memory now. Yet to see them play if things carry on the same way in Windmill country i'll be worried.
