  5. Good post. JC won't get it right all of the time, especially considering the players at his disposal, the size of squad he has to work with, and the fact there's not much between most sides in the SPL. We've lost to ICT for the first time and the JMG mob are foaming at the mouth. Funny how your wee brother doesn't correct your spelling mistakes though.
  6. He plays up-front, His name's Tommy Wright, He's got his hat on, And he's ready for a fight! Tommy Wright will kill you.
  7. How did he look in the reserve match? Any good?
  8. Prove what wrong? Up to this moment in time, Maguire is the only youngster who's been good enough to make the step-up. Not one has left and proved Calderwood wrong. Prove that wrong.
  9. That's the last word on the subject then.
  10. We need a right back as Foster simply isn't good enough for there, a centre half as I'm not convinced in Considine and some creativity in midfield, preferably from the wings. Jamie Smith has a lot to offer, and the McDonald/Kerr partnership in the centre should blossom into a good one. We do need someone else on the wings however. Ideally it'd be someone that can play right or left. Would've said we needed a striker as well but want to see how Wright gets on. Miller showed a lot of promise last season, but we just need to get a settled partnership up there. Maguire I can't decide on. Shows a lot of promise but goes missing in games as well. I think, alongside Miller, he could turn into a very good player. Whether or not he can hold down a regular place remains to be seen. Not wholly convinced in Langfield either, and for me he should never have been taken back after what happened last summer, but he has got a lot of ability. Very inconsistent though. In Diamond, Mulgrew, Kerr, McDonald, Severin, Smith and Miller we've got some very good players. Would walk into pretty much every SPL team, within reason. Duff and Young have blown hot and cold, so I'd say they're good squad players at most. I doubted their signings but they've done okay considering how little they've played. I can't comment on Wright, Bossu and Stewart as I've not seen enough of them. I'd also throw Smith, Paton, Pawlett, Crawford and Bateman in here as well. I've never rated Foster, Mackie and I'm not a huge fan of Considine. De Visscher isn't good enough either I think. Mair is another who probably falls in this bracket.

  12. People have to accept that the 80's were a one-off. Football's changed. It's on
  13. But what if they do? What happens then? What will the fans say?
