  1. I asked what they realistically, and seriously should have done?
  2. Exactly as I said a few posts back. There's nothing they could've done, especially in the case of the Rangers games as we can't afford to not take money from their away support and can't afford to take the risk of selling tickets by ourselves. It f*cking pains me to say it but the board had no option. I'll ask again, and this is aimed at those who are blaming the club for this, what else could they realistically, and seriously, have done? Along with the SPL who seemed to have stayed silent on it. It's a f*cking joke. F*cking ridiculous and has just shown again how much freedom the Old Firm get in Scotland. F*cking arseholes
  3. What the f*ck has this to do with ambition?
  4. do not have the same sort of hatred and rivalry with Rangers as we do.
  5. Seriously folks, and I'm as f*cked off as anyone, what else could Aberdeen have done here? As is pointed out in that article, the police would never let the club risk home fans getting into the away end. The biggest problem the club have is the hatred held between both sets of fans, no two clubs in Scotland have what we and Rangers have. The Old Firm are a total shower of c*nts. Why have the SPL not came out in support of the majoity here? It's a f*cking joke.
  6. You're totally right, hence why I'm thinking that we've NOT yet agreed to anything, as the only way they can amend the contract is with written consent (or something to that effect) from Aberdeen. To get the process rolling, Rangers would've needed to write to us with their proposals to change the contract, which they've done. I wouldn't be surprised to see Aberdeen hold off a bit longer. On another note, has anyone worked out the financial pros and cons for either situation unfolding, with regard to us accepting/rejecting the proposal?
  7. There's that whooshing sound again
  8. What date's our first home game against one of the Old Firm?
  9. Afraid so... DOOMED I TELL THEE!
  10. :hammer: Seriously, Aberdeen can do no right in the eyes of some fans. If they HAD called the game off, you would've been straight on moaning about "all the fans that have paid good money and travelled over to see them play, yet they call off the game without a thought for them."
  11. The simple fact is, if any club decides to take over the sale of tickets to away fans, they WILL assume some responsibility for any trouble those fans cause.
  12. Unfortunately, yeah. It wasn't long ago that Willie Miller was in the papers saying that unless more Aberdeen fans turned out, then they'd consider giving them the whole of the South Stand.
  13. I don't think they were written on the basis of current ticketing arrangements either, but the rules/regulations would cover the way that things are run. If there's a change in the way things will be run, then the rules/regulations would need to be altered as well, hence why it's not as simple as saying yes or no. Essentially, this is a contract/agreement between all the clubs in the SPL, and there's now a proposal from the Old Firm to change this agreement. The other member clubs will then need to see if this affects the current rules/regulations that are in place covering their agreement. Which I believe it undoubtedly will.
  14. If we take over the job of issuing tickets to Rangers fans, they can then theoretically take the stance that we're responsible for any trouble that may arise. Of course, they'll still have some sort of accountability, but it'll be easier for them to distance themselves away from it. Just as they did in Manchester during the UEFA cup final. The rule you posted with regard to CURRENT ticketing arrangements, and which you also used to point out that I'd failed, did nothing but back up my point. So, you fail
