Rooney’s last goal, only 2 weeks ago, was proof of his value. Give him a sniff, he doesn’t often miss. That was one of my favourite Rooney goals. He had a lot to do. He did it. He is a journeyman striker who’s sell-by date is imminent. But he’s been a great servant and he’s not dead yet. Maynard on the other hand has never been born.
-
Statistics never tell the full picture. A striker with a low goals ratio is either squandering good chances or is not getting into the positions to score. If he’s not getting into positions then his instinct and reading of the game is broken or he’s not being supplied with any decent chances. It’s therefore A and/or B, and B is B1 and/or B2. Rooney is definitely not A - a squanderer - but Maynard is B1. And every footballer at AFC suffers B2 cos our midfield isn’t good enough and we don’t create enough chances. B1, the ability to get into the right positions includes fitness of course, a handicap that May and Rooney suffer, neither of them being anywhere close to their physical potential. Maynard, as Rico’s argument goes, doesn’t want to get into position in the first place as he knows he’s the king of A, the squandering master.

Man bb and LA. You made me feel AFC. I always knew most of us knew the score. You cunts proved it with superb posts.

Some beauty to sustain us all in a time of excess: - The greatest Scotsman ever in my opinion. Limmy a close second.

Page. Same as. Truth. DM not cut from the same cloth. Cunt. Hun loser fuck.

Remember that Willie Miller is not as tall as MR. Height isn’t everything. Length. Girth. Attitude. Desire.
-
Very good argument TC. That could be spot on. Doubt Officer Dibble could find fault with that one ?

It will indeed be interesting. I have further decided to engineer it so that I ask him in person, most likely in a phone call. I will contrive some reason by e-mail for him to call me in the new year or probably next week before Jan 1.

I found it deeply poetic or ironic or something that the first two goals involved Ball and Reynolds. Neither had started for a long time. Ball was hapless as the ball ricocheted off him. Fuck knows what the ref was thinking with his positioning. Ball made Sinclair look good, and he hasn’t been for quite a while. MB was so slow, both of pace and mind, an obvious case of having dim wits. Never seen any value in that cunt. Reynolds header was unfortunate but it was shite and it cost us game over. He was so good in his first season, POTY and deservedly so. His abject showings in the years since will be down to him, his manager or a combination of the two. One of my clients is from Motherwell and his best mate. As I have no idea why MR has turned to shit, I’ve decided to ask him if he’s heard anything from Mark himself to explain his awful deterioration. Depending on the answer I get, if any, I may not be able to post it, for obvious reasons but I’ll pass on as much as I can, even by implication and reference.

Our family are terrible singers, without exception. We are a wholesale bunch of very shit singers. It must be genetic. But me and my kids are big into music. Don’t have to be one to know one, in rebuttal of the world’s laziest riposte.

No that’s not it in my case. I love art and go to the Royal Academy every year although I guess art is also enjoyed by all so is therefore also class-less in that regard. It would be extremely disingenuous to suggest that another fails to appreciate something by overly associating it with class. That would be to deny the truth that there are exceptions to every rule.

And yes, Eastern European women includes some indescribable beauty.

I do find my distaste for the ballet and the opera to be a big contradiction. As a champion of the growth mindset and as someone who has the courage to change his convictions, it surprises me how I’m not even able to see the attraction. I know this is a failing on my part. I particularly admire the huge effort they put in to perfect their crafts.
-
I forced myself to watch as many of 55 seconds of the opera one. I did watch the Nutcracker vid but I would pay good money not to attend this. Not that I can imagine how that particular scenario would arise.
-
Oh dear. The opera is another performance art beyond my appreciation spectrum. Glad you enjoyed it. Wish I could. I do like Budapest though.
-
Wow. Didn’t have you down as a ballet champion. Ballet Champ was the name of a horse that won a race in the early to middle 80’s. Doubled with Steeple Bell, it returned us £468 for a £2 double. We spent over a hundred of it that night treating some mates in some wine bar on Union St next to Bruce Millers, oddly enough, an establishment we’d never frequented before or since. I wouldn’t even like to hear you explain what’s so good about that particular performance art. Only because I know my mind is so closed and fixed on the subject I could never understand.

The timing of it was more than bizarre, after a good away win. Perhaps the Boro board have delusions of grandeur. Or maybe they didn’t like the cut of the cunt’s gib. It’s also possible that a manager they consider to be better has become available. In the spirit of exploring all possibilities, Monk maybe fucked a board members 17 year old daughter.

McInnes to stay with the Dons
rocket_scientist replied to OxfordDon's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
The main reason I look forward to the day he leaves is that we can’t be the best that we can be under him. His management limitations are purely down to his personality defects. He is stubborn, he has no balls and he never learns from his mistakes. -
That was painful. The injuries/illnesses that kept Logan and May out put us behind the 8 ball, particularly Shay who had a good game last week, in a calendar year where he has had few. I have no idea why McInnes dropped McKenna, an ever-present for months now. Like another, I wish McInnes had fucked off. He’s a charlatan midget who will never attain better than mediocre.

I also went to Ikea once, with the wife, and I hated it. It wasn’t just the circuitous shopping route that was unbearable. She thought it would be a good idea to eat there and reckoned the Swedish meatballs were consumption-worthy. Looked like poor kwolity meat shite to me. Terrible day, made even more tragic by spending too much time in a car getting to and from.

It’s not the arithmetic that I screwed up on, more the application i.e. where to start, so a thinking or expression malfunction. I was reckoning that 12 is 50% more than 8, which it is. But a “saving” is on the original amount so no amount of bevvy can right my wrong. Now I need to go into town to buy a “present” for myself. It’s nothing to do with Xmas but the fact I made a decision to buy them now, at this time of year, is a major inconvenience as there will be lots of people kicking about. And I find that claustrophobic. I never feel that at the fitba. I have zero crowd-aversion there but wading amongst cunts shopping, and the associated busier traffic with dithering idiots, just nae eese. The fact I don’t mind the busier roads before and after football has highlighted an incongruity or a contradiction within ma heid. Back to the drawing board for me. Arithmetic-application and tolerance criteria fails for rocket.
-
Actually fuck, you got me confused now! Buying at 8 instead of 12 is a 33% saving. I was spikkin shite. As you were...
-
I bought 3 bottles at £12 each. I gave my neighbour one. He said it was for sale at £8 a bottle, that very day. I purchased at £8 per bottle, a 50% saving. Had it been £6 a bottle, that would have been 100% saving. Had it been £4 a bottle, that would have been a 200% saving. Had it been £1.20, it was 900% saving.

Just did. Bang on I reckon. I make mistakes for sure but not on the maths on this one. All war broke loose here in the last 5 minutes. Daughters 2 & 3 have been so brainwashed by pc upbringing (external to how we brought them up), their dad can’t repeat words from great art without offending their sensibilities. Art that they just introduced me too. It’s really frightening how society has imposed taboos not just on concepts and thinking but individual words. Fucked up.
