McInnes to stay with the Dons

The manager recruits the team. That’s his job. The team are nowhere near good enough. -
McInnes to stay with the Dons

You misinterpret him. You have no idea what he’s saying. -
I’ve done 30,000 hours of bespoke analysis in this field plus 50 years experience in sport. The talent v. work ethic debate has been closed but by fuck it was an interesting journey.
-
Great point MBT but I would argue that it doesn’t actually “show” anything at all. If we examine data sets big enough - which is my job - there will always be outliers and exceptions. Porteous produced his moment of magic at Hampden when we played the cunts. If he hadn’t worked as hard as he did, he possibly wouldn’t have been good enough to start for Kincorth.

It was far from ace actually. We left before one hour was up. Depish Mode is how I’ll remember them. Staggering how they’ve become a big “stadium band”. I never liked them in the 80’s. Always thought the lead singer guy was dodgy. But fuck me his pretentiousness on stage has to be seen to be believed. The first song Going Backwards was rocking. The rest went backwards real quick. Shite band with shite fans, mostly wearing a uniform of black. Great meal and great company so a fantastic night, despite the 50 minutes of pish. Staggering venue. Just wonderful. Would be nice to see someone half decent perform there.

I love the fact tha SAF acknowledges that Ronaldo and Cantona were the hardest working players he ever had. More proof to end the debate that Matthew Syed and Daniel Coyle ended.

Hurting? You weak as piss ignorant cunt. What you don’t understand - because you don’t work with successful people, including multimillionaires in sport - is the differences between the best and the rest. Many of my clients make a good living, a very good living including many being worth 1 or 2m+ but they’re not superstars. Some of my other clients are “superstars”, financially secure for life before 30 years of age in many cases. The difference between the best and the rest are very small, tiny incremental marginal fractional gains. The nature of these can be analysed to death but the bottom line is known, it is the desire to work harder and work smarter than the rest. The boy at Auxerre never had money. Leicester never had money. That guy who ran AFC in the 80’s never had money. But you decide it’s ALL about money? That’s the biggest cop out in history. Celtic got thrashed because they’re shite compared to the best in Europe. They thrash AFC every single year because we are shite compared to Celtic. Money is a massive influence, of course it is, nobody other than a fool would deny this. But only a thick cunt would limit his horizons in exploring all options and even worse, a fucking arsehole who holds grudges and continuously demonstrates these personal insecurities is hard to entertain, particularly when he has zero experience in this field.

Templeton, who scored against us this month, was released by AFC and was told he was too small. I saw him when he was 16 playing for Stenny when he came on as a sub at Montrose (I boycotted Calderwood’s terrible Tombola football for a calendar year so I know it was 2007) and he lit up the game. A week or two later, there was an article in The Sunday Times all about him (a year or two before I stopped reading newspapers) and he went on to play for Hearts and Rangers.

Money laundering in Abramovitch’s case. It doesn’t matter if he loses money because he’s bought legitimacy for his ill-gotten gains, as Sibneft can attest with their missing oil tankers, which gave him his criminal start.

Posters expressing opinions and interpretations on reality on AFC webchatspeaksites isn't the same function as football management. Not even the same ball-park. Of course. The current one isn't very good. It could, and hopefully it will. But have you seen the history? And do you believe in karma? Optimism is admirable. Happy clapping is ridiculous. If you're so into celebrating your positive outlook, you should learn more about this subject. Google Professor Carol Dweck and her inspirational work on the difference between growth and fixed mindsets. Then read her fellow American Dr M Scott Peck about the essential need to be dedicated to the truth. Debt free? Yay! I've pumped in 750 games and the club I gave that money to are liquid? 6 points off the top? What planet are you on? Can you not see how the next 6 months will pan out? And you compare this year to "recent times" and you see nothing but positives? Without seeing the reality of the last 20 years? You wouldn't fucking know because you're not capable of knowing what day of the week this is. Cunts like you boil my piss. You're not like a.n.other who swallows everything he's fed from "up high" but you're evil for this reason; you're attempting to placate us masses and in doing so, you LIE about the facts. Tell us how, when and where Milne put money in? At least you've got the balls to continue the debate unlike the coward who fucked off but prove to us that you're not a stooge, another AFC-PR machine cunt who come and go and always fail to stick around?

National stereotypes and generalisms
rocket_scientist replied to rocket_scientist's topic in Off Topic
With the goings on in Zimbabwe, there is one uncomfortable truth. Almost every local getting interviewed, including the new politicians and leadership, sound like the thickest cunts on Plant earth. The white supremicist racists, like Trump, would swallow self-validation from this. But the truth is more sinister. Mugabe got rid of the intelligent and independent free-thinkers. Just like the Khmer Rouge did and even bigger examples when we look at history. Give a stupid or corrupt man power and shit gets ugly. -
I don't find it funny actually, that a football club I once loved turning to shit. Fortunately it doesn't affect me, my life, my wife and my children, things that are genuinely important to me although we'll be meeting two of my kids over the next few days in London and I'm proud that he declared he would not be supporting any English team when he moved there last month because like me, he's only got one team. The greek masks remind me. You may find it hilarious but I find it very tragic that ignorant people, stupid cunts who know fuck all about fuck all, put their trust in the establishment, perceived or otherwise. I'm not talking directly to you here but there is one on every forum who believes everything the government, TV, media and newspapers tell them, in the false assumption that they wouldn't lie. Milne lied in the AGM at the Capitol 21 years ago. We didn't know it was a lie at the time and we were all excited to have him as vice chairman, next to the hapless and unfortunate Ian Donald. But the facts in the last three decades can't be ignored. He is ruining this club and pursuing a single agenda and it's a very different one to what the fans want, for many of whom, AFC is a very big part of their lives. I find greed disgusting personally but I find deception and lies particularly unforgivable, especially the exploitation of the vulnerable. The loyalty is blind... for now, but one day the thick cunts will see what's been going on, probably when it's too late as far as AFC, and most of Scottish football, is concerned.
-
I think he lost a lot of credibility long before that. And after it, he loses more... What the fuck are you talking about? Which clubs are these that constitute "almost all instances"? Who lends money to then write it off? Who lends money to guaranteed loss-making enterprises? Why are shares "worthless" and why will original investments never be recouped? You know him well then? He "genuinely wants what's best for the club"? How the fuck do you know this? The evidence over 20+ years suggests the complete opposite. So you keep on saying but SHOW ME THE MONEY. How much has he put in? How did he do it? It was never about HIM building flats at Pittodrie. Could you ever imagine a bigger conflict of interest than that? The man is a property developer. The building of a new stadium and the disposal of an existing one, the only significant asset on our books, are deals that involve many tens of millions of pounds. You don't think that he personally will be benefiting from the various deals and how they're structured? At the original share issues, we all paid considerably more than £1.15 per share, almost 3,000 of us. You're speaking shite because you don't know the facts. Do you understand business though? Milne paid how much? How much money did he actually lend the club, how much interest did he get - straight from OUR pockets into his remember - what was the outstanding balance, how much did he convert to shares and how many additional shares did he get in the last transaction? Much more revealing would be if you told us how much he paid for his original 28.6%? And if you're really interested in the whole story, how much did he charge us for the RDS, how much of the grant money did he receive directly, what was his GP on the construction and how much of the balance outstanding was converted to shares? Happy clapping, platitudinal garbage, made from a man with the wool over his eyes or with a surreptitious agenda. There IS money in the game. There always has been, to varying degrees. You choose to see Milne as being good for the club. Many of us disagree. You possibly got sucked in by the cynical and deliberately-engineered "fucking penalties" line, You thought it was spontaneously uttered. We have NOTHING to be positive about. The team are full of journeymen who have no hope of producing good consistent fitba, let alone winning the league and we have thousands of people staying away. We have alienated the next generation. Do you know the average age demographics of football fans in the UK and how this has been changing, alarmingly? Don't you think this affects not just us, but the market we operate in, a market that has been incredibly mismanaged by buffoons at the top for many, many decades? Scottish football may have been so badly damaged by this ineptitude and self-serving greed - on many different levels, whether self aggrandisement like the officials and administrators or whether good old-fashioned greed like Milne - that we may never recover. You crack on in your bubble though.
-
The most improbable occurrence would be that Milne “dipped into his pocket” for the benefit of the club. This is extremely unlikely for a number of reasons and yet some posters believe, without any proof whatsoever that he has “paid the wages” for this player or otherwise played the generous benefactor. One man put this club from the black into the red by financial mismanagement on a gross scale. The continuous hiring of non-productive staff and the excessive “professional fees” being dished out all mounted up to living beyond our means and the “product” - as he called it - suffered massively. Once the spending outstripped the revenue, who was there to “help” clean up the mess he created? Who loaned us money at two per cent over base? Milne profited from our debt with regular interest payments going from our turnover into his pocket. These are all facts, indisputable facts. There are many reasons for him not being the benefactor that some claim but the biggest one of all is that his supposed donations are invisible in the accounts.
-
I’m not “admitting” that. As I already said; 1. I don’t know 2. I don’t see this in the accounts 3. Clearing debt takes many forms You two are much more informed on this subject, clearly. So will you now spell out the nature and form of Milne’s generosity?
-
You’re saying that Milne donated £4.4m? You believe this? Good grief. Clearing a debt takes many forms. What did Wm Donald give and what did he get in return? We, Aberdeen supporters, almost 3,000 of us, ALL COLLEVTIVELY paid considerably more per share than Milne did.
-
It would only be astonishing if you had evidence to the contrary to be astonished by the ill-informed remark. Since you don't believe everything you read, please share the source of your astonishment. I wouldn't be astonished by either he's put in tuppence hapenny or he's put in fuck all because I don't know if or what he's put in. As someone who is accounts-literate however, I've not seen the gifts he's supposed to have given, as some claim. One thing I do know is that he paid considerably less per share for his 28.6% than we all did for our shares.

Getting paid to service a lassie. That appeals to me BIG TIME

I can’t help thinking that all these best wishes is liking rewarding and praising the man who didn’t rob the bank. Yes he was infinitely better than the fuckers Milne appointed before him but he’s not anything other than a semi competent manager who talks a better game than he delivers. It’s fucking madness. We’re comparing him to utter shite, which is the standard in football management these days. Even Levein got a gig and as for that thick piece of nothingness in that zero club in Perth patting himself on the back in his interview last week for getting quoted for every vacancy, that’s just insane. As for John Robertson and Billy Dodds and all the other ex pros, they’re not managers, they’re unemployed (or soon will be) people looking for an opportunity. Roy Hodgson and Arry Redheid in their 90’s, Davie Moyes, Fat Sam, Gareth Southgate, Gordon Strachan and Mark McGhee all getting high profile jobs is a fucking joke.

Boo hoo.. greeting like a lickle girl.. "he called me names". Grow up you fucking imbecile. It's obvious that I can't.

McInnes to stay with the Dons
rocket_scientist replied to OxfordDon's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Yes it is, for they are numerous. That's very true as well although let's be honest, it's a shite league. Hamilton managed to beat the newco at the weekend, Hearts couldn't beat Partick, Celtic have gone unbeaten for a record time and ICT who we conquered 0-0 for the diddy cup are struggling in a lower division. McInnes's failings will show up a lot quicker in a bigger pool. He was never going to do anything with AFC, if winning is the name of the game, which it isn't, for many brought up in the Milne era. Mediocrity is acceptable and they use weak excuses in their self-deception to justify their blind loyalty. He won't last to the end of next season for them, despite not winning being their agenda too. -
I was half watching the game yesterday and West Am were so bad. Gomes made a couple of miracle saves just before HT but Watford were always going to win. They could well get relegated under Moyes. Gold and Brady have bought bad luck. Moyes and that thick fuck “psycho” were possibly paedos in their previous lives or maybe they tortured cats.

I read your book yesterday SeeBass. Thank you for writing it. That’s some achievement and my huge admiration to you. Many say they’re going to write a book but few have the discipline and skill to do it. The best part about it all was your honesty, a no holds barred personal insight which was so refreshing to read. I hope you’ve retained an interest in Citey through all these years to compensate for being a long-suffering AFC. SeeBass kicks ass

Two great finds Elgindon, thank you. Bernard Connolly also very impressive.

Digby Jones very articulate and intelligent positions on everything. Very difficult to argue with him.
