It's math, not maths. (Where you live) ?
-
Of course the group is tight. That's obvious. But if you want to be takking about Scotlands chances, it's simple maths and Slovakia beating England is disaster for Scotland.
-
You said that the manager was "lazy", that he hadn't selected the best players for the job. The result might suggest Strachan knows better than you. Who would you have played instead of who the "lazy" manager did?
-
It IS very simple for Scotland. We need to win 3 games. But that won't be enough if two teams finish ahead of us and the only way this can happen is if Slovakia beat England. I never said England will win the group. I hope they don't get beat by Slovakia for the sake of Scotland but I said they WILL qualify, which 4 points guarantees for them, whether 2nd to Slovakia or otherwise. The only thing Scotland wants is to qualify. It is not in their own hands if Slovakia win at Wembley. Very simple maths.
-
Slovakia get 2nd by not getting beat by us and picking up a win in one of their other two games. Not that 19 points is guaranteed to be enough. Our only concern is Slovakia now. Not England and certainly not Slovenia. We have to get 9 points and we can't have England getting beat on Monday. Simple. Nothing else matters.
-
It's not mathematically certain that England will qualify but it's as good as guaranteed that they won't fail to. They're not sitting top of the group by accident. Look at their footballers. Ok their managers a coo's arse but they have more than enough quality to get 4 points from their last 3 games which puts them above Scotland, and that's sssuming we can get 9 points which is even less likely than England failing to get 4. The ONLY thing that Scotland wants is control of their own destiny. The only way that can happen becomes apparent with the results of two games on Monday. As I said, very simple scenario.
-
The ONLY way we have full control of our destiny is Slovakia not winning at Wembley.
-
You're thinking England might not get 20 points, which is the max Scotland can get. England WILL qualify. Guaranteed.
-
If Slovakia beat England at Wembley on Monday, its not favourable for Scotland. That's dumb. Because we would have to rely on Slovakia not winning their other game. Slovenia are now irrelevant to Scotland in terms of what else they do, as we have to win all 3 inc. beating them. It's very simple. Beat Malta, Slovakia don't beat England, all in the capable hands of Strachan and McGhoo.
-
3 wins + Slovakia not beating England = qualifying. Very simple equation ahead of us. Only got 58 hours to wait until it becomes even simpler - win 2 games, all in their own hands.

Methil no more. Dunfermline no more. Kirkcaldy no more. Nae mair Fife-isms. Dee my fucking head in. Nae arguing the bampotism by the way. NO. btw is weegie-ism-istic. Canna be deein with regional colloquialisms that grate the NE soul.

You're obviously not from Aberdeen. You may be soft southern shite. The comments you posted were ridiculous and absurd. I didn't post them. You did. Don't shoot the messenger. Your stupid bias was that a team with 6 Celtic was a bad thing. Your logic was flawed. The result proved the spasticness of your position.
-
You should do your research and due diligence. Then determine what fraction of one per cent of my posts include an insult. Is it illegal to insult? Or is it illegal to insult you? Especially when your tit-like outlook and biased ignorance deserved full condemnation.
-
What an arse. They were the best team to be picked. And they vindicated it. Your problem is as equally unknown to you as it is to most.
-
Do results not matter in your world? You take exception to the majority of the team being from the only half decent club in the country? Wise up ye fucking balloon.
-
Who gives a fuck which clubs the selected players come from? Celtic are the only half decent side in the country. Nobody can argue with this result... only that Forrest has been shit. And Craig Gordon should never get a game again after Hampden v. the English.
-
Please don't finish sentences with eh. They do that in Fife. It's fucking disgusting, like advertising our intellectual retardation. Your "loving it even though its torture" smacks of tartan army endurance self flaggelation, a peculiar condition, idiosyncratic to losers. The "lads" who went to Hampden were, and are, very sad individuals who's sexual activity levels are remarkably less than 10% of the national average.
-
Strachan explained re Phillips before the game. Forrest the only downside of the 1st half. Woeful.

There's no reasonable case for staying at Pittodrie now. I feel zero sentimental attachment and unlike many, I embrace change. It's the way that we got here that I object to, neglecting the stadium and mismanaging the finances so that we had no choice. You may forget how bad our football has been for coming up for a quarter of a century under Milne. I say football wasn't even his concern. When the agendas, hopes, dreams and desires of the customers and the man in charge are so divergent, the boss needs to pretend otherwise. He's been lying to us since the day he inveigled his way into Ian Donald's pants.
-
HIS decision. One man. Has anybody been watching? TWENTY YEARS AGO, he tried to offer us a new stadium. The paint was barely dry on the RDS. Was that in the best interests of AFC, or in the best interests of him? Does anyone know how boardrooms work? Committees don't do shit. One man has a vision and he executes it, making damn sure that the people around him know how to spell sycophants before he gets it from them, in spades. The plan, his plan, has ALWAYS been relocation. And when he didn't get his way in the latter half of the 90's, he fucked our balance sheet to such an extent that it is now almost certain that we have to move. Does nobody find it strange that all the overspending that resulted in a eight figure debt didn't include even the bare minimum for the maintenance of our biggest and most valuable asset? It's an agenda and it's NEVER been about the football. Wake up sheeple.

Right up until the weigh-in, I was wanting McGregor to win. His behaviour and interview changed all that. He was crass, childish and showed a complete lack of respect to his opponent's record. He's not the first stupid oirish classless fuck from a gypsy tink background but his posturing about Las Vegas belonging to Ireland revealed a patriotism only found in the ignorantly immature. Plus I hated those snap down shades of his.

Agree on Bono but surprised you say The Clash. For a start, they weren't punks. They had musical talent and whilst their first album was of the era, White Riot and Career Opportunities had classic catchy beats more found in pop than punk. Beyond their first LP, they grew into a classic soul sound but highly original and innovative. They stood the test of time and I can listen to them yet. As I can with the Pistols and The Damned. EMI and Neat Neat Neat are as good today as they were 40 years ago. Strummer was misunderstood because he never fitted any genre. I thought he was a bit mixed up and a bit of a dick but The Ice Age is coming, Vacuum cleaner sucks up budgie, you're fretting, you're sweating... ain't getting anywhere, it ain't Coca Cola, it's rice - he hit parts of us that only he could. A genius composer for me.

Good post. I didn't read as much as you did from his abject performance v. Dundee. I just thought he was shite. Unfortunately your deeper interpretation may well prove to be right on the money. -
