Your use of heavy sarcasm indicates an unwillingness to engage. It's like you can't be wrong. The functions of measurement and reflection are very important as we practise and prepare for the next performance. You might be best to take your own advice. How interesting that you can speak shite AND truth in the same post.

Saw The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo yesterday. Really enjoyed it. Some very powerful scenes. Rooney Mara is amazing.

I see Kimbra and Azniv Korkejian as being hugely talented female artists but other than this, I see no any other correlation. I'm not sure what my "comfort zone" is, musically. In fact I'm pretty sure I don't have one. Good art is good art and therefore for sharing. 6 music introduced me to Bedouine. I think she'll be huge. Talent this big usually is.

Currently exploring this new album...

That's one interpretation and you won't be alone, given the yawn response he drew from another etc. But here's another interpretation. He uses ISD's - Idiot Sifting Devices - and perhaps he caught some? When he started with the words "Sorry to preach to the misinformed...", that gets the back up of the insecure, the misinformed and the idiots. Then he went on to post stuff that I never knew about AFC so I thought it was a good post, and it certainly educated me. There is more than one interpretation of subjective subjects. On the blue kit, I don't think it will sell in any great quantities and I can't even begin to understand why the club would sanction that. Radical, yes, new and innovative, yes but it's just nae right, for reasons I can't explain.

The influence and power exercised by the mainstream media in the west is being abused and has been for a long time. They are puppets of the establishment, no different from the propagandist machines that "serve" the people in dictatorship-controlled states. This of itself isn't news but the vast majority don't understand as they swallow the dogma and the rhetoric without question, having neither the will nor the way. They trust the plummy accents and the suits and ties and are incapable of exercising basic critical thinking skills. Further, their imaginations are so shallow, it doesn't occur to them that Cameron and Blair and now May and the EU and the US are stealing money from the people on a bigger than industrial scale. People are waking up. Globally. The majority of people in the North East are brain dead, sleepwalking into the future.
-
What you won't see in your redtop newspapers and your Sky and BBC is the truth, although credit to Channel 4 (as usual) for not ignoring it. The people in London today have been marching on the establishment. Yet the majority of people in the North East saw fit to vote Tory? Fucking thick arseholes.

Alas true but mostly vile cunts everywhere, only the proportions thereof differs by location. Or is that really the case? Every individual has the capacity for good or evil. It's how we choose to behave. I think our leaders set the examples and corruption being systemic, it's no wonder most are self-interested. Corruption is a natural consequence of having power in a culture that doesn't maintain its checks and balances. Lawyers are mostly to blame. They are the root cause of all evil, more so than money. Stick that in yer Friday pipe and smoke it

why you asking?

"The queen arrives to meet victims" is the banner headline just now. But the PM did NOT meet anybody other than firefighters. Corbyn was well received when he attended. The reason why May is prevented from meeting real people is cos she's a social fuck-up. Anyone with a half-decent or even a barely functioning robust instinct can see that she's a vile human being. And yet the NE of Scotland (bar one constituency) voted Conservative?
-
The class divide. Public schooled rulers who despise people who aren't the same as them. And yet the masses keep voting them in? What will eventually come out is that corners were cut and safety was compromised. All so that "the connected" can make money from the public purse. It keeps on happening and it's being facilitated by a complicit media.

I know Dave. Used to play fitba with him at Commercial Thistle at Findon Park. He was the GM at AFC for a couple of years before going to the US where he built his fortune. His heart's in the right place. Loves fitba and loves AFC.
-
Apart from you ye mean? One of the local pubs I occasionally attend has invested in a range of premium spirits but inexplicably spelt it that way on the printed menus.

Forgot to say, Craig Gordon was embarrassingly bad. That game had everything we are famous for going back decades. They used to laff at Scottish goalkeepers and glorious failure is in the national team fitba DNA. Gordon might have had a semblance of an excuse with the sun in his een but by fuck it exposed his lack of balls/bravery.

As someone who is often embarrassed to be Scottish and who despises Strachan and McGoo and who swore he wouldn't return to a Scotland match, I loved Griffiths' free kicks. The equaliser was stereotypically Scotland. Nobody does nearly like us.

The NE of Scotland is sick in the head. UKIP and Salmond are gone. The yin and yang of this election.
-
Rhetoric like this, including the old "In yer Glasgow slums" song, is one of the ugly sides of AFC and the NE. I always wondered whether the arrogant ignorance in singing it would bite back on the arse. It certainly did. The oil crash has wrecked havoc on so many talentless arseholes who had it too good for too long. I wonder how they're enjoying their unemployment and if they're able to adjust and downgrade their expensive tastes? Natural justice. There's no escaping it.

Not this year so far in Spain but the Asia course there has hosted a lot of pro events. I've heard it's very good. Talking golf, there are only two Open venues I've never played or seen but because the Amateur is at Sandwich and the Open is at Birkdale, I'll tick those two boxes within the next 6/7 weeks

20,000 less police officers enabled by the Tory government to save a few quid. In the meantime, a number of British people are losing their lives to "terrorists", London being the latest. Given that they've arrested 17 who were supposedly connected to the lone Manchester bomber, I wonder how many were "connected" with these three? With so many less police employed by this "strong and stable government", the one who promised to keep us safe, it appears they all got it wrong in downgrading the terror threat from critical. The inevitable consequence will be more armed police on the streets. The cynics might say that inducing fear in the population is a strategy deployed by the ruling class, the real rulers, not the puppet enablers, May and Cameron. Yet still, nobody in this sick government and within the complicit presstitute media will ask "why is this happening"? No problem has ever been solved without first identifying the nature of it and then acknowledging that it exists second. The problem in Western Europe is random acts of terror. Don't believe the puppets when they tell you that it's an attack on "our values" and "our way of life". In the meantime, I wonder if there are Burns type characters sitting in America going "excellent" at these further tragic deaths?

Actually you're right. I couldn't have done it either. But you get my Montgomery Clift.

Good points actually. Gives perspective. Who can blame him? We would have all done the same. The vitriol towards him and his new employers is as staggering as it is misguided.
