Agree Mondo. I have no knowledge of the present case but if he's doing illegal shit and dies during illegal shit, good fucking riddance. IF. Carrying a firearm is illegal, it's highly dangerous and we all know the risks. After the Stephen Lawrence thing and countless instances of proven police injustice, I don't trust the pigs. They lie for a living as anyone who has ever worked in the Scottish criminal justice system knows. Forgot to say, these mourners who never knew him are shit.

Lisping twat to close some "restaurants"
rocket_scientist replied to Garlogie_Granite's topic in Off Topic
I was in the Savoy Grill 6 weeks ago and it was one of the best meals ever, one of the top 3 or 4. Just outstanding. It's Gordon Ramsay who is known for it but the (front of house) staff said they never see him. Nor do they need to. If he's setting the menus and has trained the head chef and is checking the customer feedback levels and/or receipts - the latter most likely if he's on a percentage - then he doesn't need to be there. You could taste the difference. Ramsay is a first class cook and a first class businessman. Oliver is a first class cook (but not catering to the same market i.e. not gourmet fine dining obviously) but might not be as shrewd when it comes to marketing his brand. By the way, Ramsay is not all haute cuisine. I had a steak pie in suet pudding for £22! -
Lisping twat to close some "restaurants"

I like Jamie Oliver... on TV. Yes he's a twat, in an idiosyncratic guffy style but I love his enthusiasm. As for his restaurant on Union Street, we went once. Which kind of says it all. It was soon after it opened, we popped in for lunch and it was very poor. My wife and kids had been to the one in Glasgow and really enjoyed it but she agreed it was crap in Union Street. I'm amazed if Oliver had anything to do with that chain. I assumed he sold his name and provided consultancy services and they got a bunch of franchised operators to crack on. The guys and girls running Aberdeen deserved to fail. Utterly clueless. There's an even newer diner in Aberdeen who I think are vulnerable. I love their food but the owner doesn't understand the business. Service counts just as much as product in that game and I think some newer competition in the city might sink them. I won't say who (because I feel sorry for them being young and foolish and as I say, I love their product) but the easiest thing to get right, being nice to customers is something that some people don't get. -
Lunch at Revolucion de Cuba today. Outstanding and great value. We are teetotal every January this century but Sunday to Weds all cocktails are £4.50 and they're very good both in terms of taste and alcohol injection. 40% off everything this month if you book a table online (which I didn't - doh) so just do it. Something different for Aberdeen and something very very good.

They say that we will never know until we try. Although given the research we could do in advance, it shouldn't be too difficult to assess. People. Lots of them. Drink. Noisy. Darts enthusiasts. There's a fivefold fatal blow right there.
-
I similarly have never attended darts. And I never will. My fixed mindset and prejudice wouldn't allow it. I'm sure I would detest it.
-
So it appears. The wife shouted it out from something she read online from the EE.

Maddison back to Norwich. Easy decision for the boy as he wasn't getting played but probably Neil's decision.
-
My St Mirren mate was asking about Storie who's gone there on loan. Couldn't offer an assessment as he's never had a run.

Rangers. Real Madrid. Manchester United. Especially tonight with the worst sending off in history. I left the pub at HT. No point watching the inevitable. Now I hear the second was offside. Most of all I hate Stewrat Milne.

It's always a balancing act between ambition and finances. Hayes for half a million is a joke. He is worth much more than double that to us and as one of our most valuable players, the only reason for selling would be financial where the offer was too good to refuse. A six figure sum is nowhere near his valuation and selling him would hurt us hard, at any price.

AMAZING ABERDEEN FANS VIDEO
rocket_scientist replied to rooney1903's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
That quote by di Stefano at the start of the video, made 33 years ago, was true. One man, Stewrat Milne, has dismantled all that over the last 25 years. -
I'm not sure that the footwear choice of no. 3 would be very good for balance through the swing. It takes a special spesh to care about that though Awesome specimens.

That made me larf and unfortunately it's very true. It's not just domestic violence that goes up when the bigots meet. We lived in Glasgow when newly married and my wife has been with the NHS since before I met her over 30 years ago. At Glasgow Victoria A & E, if there were x stabbings in Glasgow on a Saturday night, there were x + 50 on an OF Saturday.

Agreed Elgin Don. This is why Scott Brown is such a valuable footballer. He's a leader on the pitch. He never fails to give his all. He's the antithesis of McGinn. He's getting the max out of himself. McGinn's getting the minimum out of a far superior talent. All successful teams have that workrate mentality, an attitude fired by desire. This starts with the manager of course and it's his job to inspire and enthuse them. Self starters don't need to be fired up but the team is only as strong as its weakest parts and too many too often don't give 100% and I would be embarrassed by that if it was my team.
-
I would also prefer that he stayed. He's potentially our best player. That's why I started my rant with IF. Those of you who have examined the talent v. work ethic debate - articulated so well by Matthew Syed in Bounce and to a lesser extent Daniel Coyle in The Talent Code - or who have managed people will know the frustrations of having people who don't put in a shift, who's performance is being handicapped by their lack of application. Work ethic is everything. Nobody succeeds without it. It's impossible to be the best without consistently working hard. HNY2U2.
-
Yes it is rough (bevvied was my excuse) and yes we know how much talent he's got. He created the goal last night. He got the 3 points at Motherwell. I remember one time at Hearts he scored the 3rd to put us 3-0 up at HT and his drop of the shoulder was sublime as he waltzed from the corner flag into the box. But it's criminal when one is allowed to not give 100%. In anything, not just football. It's he himself who suffers the most but it's also a poor reflection on his managers. He blew his chance at Celtic and it wasn't because he didn't have talent. Unfulfilled potential is one of the worst things to witness, particularly when the observer is passionate and can see it.

Only a fucking idiot can't recognise the genius of our latest reluctant Nobel winner.
-
If it's true McGinn is offski, let me be the first to say fuck off. You only ever gave us 50% effort for 20% of the time. You're a talented fuckwit. The gormlessness of yer face is what I'll remember the most. Plus your apologetic behaviour for daring to score at Parkhead. But what my son and all his mates will remember the most is how shit you were at hitting on our women. Good riddance. Lazy fucking loser cunt.
-
We were speculating on who JM would come on for. McGinn was the populist vote but I said Reynolds. It wasn't like we needed to defend v. that shite. As soon as McGinn delivered that lovely cross for the goal, we knew he wasn't getting on. Our best footballer remains on the bench. Whatever.
-
Who? Never seen the boy. Hopefully the management knows what it's doing.
-
That was great. Hertz were shit. The goal was excellent. Possibly the only touch Hayes got in the 2nd half. Surprisingly quiet from him. Rooney was bowff. McLean was very good in spells. I love Shay Logan. I love Lewis too. I hate the Huns and hope they get fucked tomorrow. This will complete a great end to the year. I'm not with all the luvvies who say 2016 was an annus horibilis. It might have been an anus horribilis for Dod Mike but I never kent the cunt so who gives. Never kent that Fisher chick neither, nor her ma so da gie a fuck them an a. I'm a horrible man. Peace n love.
-
That takes a certain kind of imagination to cook that up. Possibly depraved might be the closest description
-
Heard this on Radio 6 when driving home just now. Kwolity.
-
I hope for a good performance. Great opportunity in the race for second especially after the Hun cunts get their arses wiped the morn.
