At least it was Hanley who fucked up at the 3rd. He's one of Chesney's worst picks in my opinion. A fucking useless footballer. And Bannan, how could he be so bad so consistently? Shambolic from the top down.
-
It's not the peanuts. It's the guys at the top. It wasn't too long ago that 4 dozen SFA flew first class whilst the footballers were in economy. It's the same culture in every Scottish sport. In the 80's, one of the guys in the SRU introduced himself openly thus - "they call me the milkman. I milk Scottish Rugby for all I can get". That was when 20,000 tickets at Murrayfield were getting "diverted" every home game.
-
Fucking hell. Embarrassing. No amount of lionheart is getting this back. How can they even play for Strachan? They must all know he's a fucking retard.
-
How many shite passes tonight? More than one a minute. It's a fucking joke. Can still win this though. Scots have a quality miles better than average and fuck we need it now.
-
I despise Strachan and his SMS in particular. Small Man Syndrome manifests itself in very many different ways in these short-arse cunts but in his case, the constant need to be contrary, to do something his way, to deliberately throw out red herrings that totally go against logic and common sense in the vain hope he gets lucky so he can say he's better and cleverer than everyone else is sickening to watch. But it's his boss and his boss's boss who fucked up in appointing him. Strachan's character hasn't changed. It was there to be seen long before they appointed him.
-
Already painfully evident is how technically poor Scotland are. These cunts are unable to trap a ba. They need more touches to get it under control than what we might expect even a decent amateur or junior to take. And these are the best footballers we've got? It's a fucking shambles. We're not even identifying the basic skills let alone appreciating how short we are in them. The SPFL or SFPL or whatever the fuck we call it now is shit because of precisely this reason, a chronic inability to do the basics.

Scotland are so bad and it's all because of the same, same failing. It's a cancer running through our game, our culture and our country. It's so bad that a newly 15 year old at AFC, who trained with the first team today and who's father is being badgered by McInnes every week to sign longer term has chosen to play for Wales, the country of his mother despite his Scottish dad (brother of a good mate of mine) and despite living in the NE his whole life. He's captain of Wales U16's. The Scots set-up is so bad it's embarrassing, from the clubs (including AFC) right the way through to the "top". It's no surprise we've not qualified for 20 years minimum. From Ernie Walker through Farrell and the current clowns, rotten to the core.

Real men would refuse to wear that pink shite. Chesney more animated in the first minute than the whole of the last game. We see you, we see through you Strachan. You're kidding nobody. Fucking charlatan.

Tuesday afternoon borderline boiler WYOWYN
rocket_scientist replied to Gervaise_Brookhampster's topic in Off Topic
Would walk from Ma Camerons to the Belmont cinema, maybe, if there's nothing else happening. Wouldn't walk half the length of Union Street for that cow. But would I? Of course. -
Wouldn't go far for it, doesn't look like an exciting shag. Bridge of Dee to Portlethen.
-
She's a beautiful woman. Physically. If she was half as good a person and she is good to look at, she would be top drawer grade A+.
-
Terrible pics of a great artist. I love her work. Never ever thought about her sexually before but would walk from Brittany to China for her.
-
I wouldn't have voluntarily given up a testicle for that. But "country of birth" is interesting. Where we are born isn't important. Two of my siblings were born in Aberdeen, Hong Kong, 2 & 4 years after I was born in Aberdeen, Scotland. Our middle 2 kids were born in Melbourne. They're no less Scottish than their older brother or younger sister. These two obviously felt Irish. Whatever.
-
"Traitorous"? Traitors against what? The Irish stood against the evils of the British Empire. For this alone they deserve respect. Ironically the Irish can be very gypsy-like in their dealings but in their fight against the English, famously coming to a head with Michael Collins and Dublin in 1916, they at least had justice and integrity on their side. I can't stand the oirish. But I can't stand the establishment as represented most recently by Bliar and Cameron more.

An immobile Italian just equalised.

Well well, it wasn't the content of the first debate that killed him. It was the video of his grostesque comments towards women. There's no way back for him now. Completely and totally unelectable. What a creep. But in the bigger picture, the timing of this is revealing. It was more than 10 years ago. The neocon ruling powers had this up their sleeve for a while. Leaving it this late to release it means the Republicans can't replace him with one month left to go which guarantees Hitlery wins and also that war with Russia will follow. Everyone knows that the bankruptcy of America - financial bankruptcy here, not moral or spiritual bankruptcy which is beyond reasonable doubt - can ONLY be redressed by winning a world war. This gives even more reason to say yes to the various WYOWYN's being kindly dug out by the Hampster. The games a bogey. Revolution the only redemption but with too many fat bastards consuming processed food and processed drugs and dumbed down to a point of uselessness, there's nae cunt left who gives a fuck. That's not true. The needle of natural justice is moving. They can flouridise our water and put GM shite in our supermarkets and get Monsanto to sell their RoundUp all over the globe but they can't subjugate human nature and they'll never succeed in the long game. Fucking cunts.
-
But Al, the laws of nature? The older we get, the less new pussies there are to explore. Plus, what our wives don't know never hurts them. Got to fuck anything if it's on offer.

Ticks the boxes so a yes from me. Nae a bonnie Quine so would walk from the Masada to the Blue Lamp for a shottie, and possibly as far as the Bobbin Mill. Couldn't see myself going from the Glentanar to the Brig o Don for it though.
-
I don't think so. Much as I'm sure that you and he and I and the vast majority of Scots would agree on the utter incompetence and uselessness of the SFA and indeed all football administrators, the interpretation isn't quite right here. It's in the SFA's best interests that we have a successful national team. We're just incapable of delivering this for so many differing reasons and in my book, one BIG reason above all others. To think that their uselessness manifests itself in apathy towards Scotland is an even worse example of flawed critical thinking than they themselves are capable of. It's understandable to come out with such shite so soon after a disappointment. It doesn't make it right though.

Funniest moments at Pittodrie
rocket_scientist replied to Heidthebaaw's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
There was an old newscaster on Grampian by the name of Jimmy Spankie. I kid you not. Once at section Y, an old dude who looked the double of him was standing there and some wag shouted "Hemmin, err's Jimmy Spunkie". Every cunt cracked up. Snowballs and pies getting launched at opposition players always amused. Another time sitting at the front row of the SS near the halfway line v. Hearts, one of the guys to our left (who did a great impersonation of being a junkie) shouted out "hemmin McCann, yer mither's a mattress" every single time he touched the ball. We had never heard this phrase before but the fact he did it literally the whole game was the most amusing part. I guess you had to be there. -
A very annoying woman but would I fuck it? Definitely. Would walk from Fraserburgh to Peterhead to. Although fuck knows why she would be in the bloo toon. And why would I be starting from the Broch? Wouldn't walk 20 miles to do her though.

Difficult question this one so a very good question. Reynolds' first season was superb but never been the same since his injury. He would still be my first pick but he's worrying prone to mistakes these days that I didn't think him capable of a couple of years ago. Taylor can be carthorse-like and solid within two minutes so never know what to expect. Overall, I don't mind him being in the starting XI. O'Connor can be similarly brilliant and dodgy so never know what we're going to get from him either. I've always liked Considine and when he was playing alongside Anderson, always thought he would grow into a good and natural CB. Successive managers never saw him in that role though so he never got the chance to play there often enough to build up any consistency of performance. Shinnie is the far superior LB. All four have weaknesses but there is no doubt that the centre of defence has been more than adequate by SFPL standards. It's just that the standard of our Premier League is shite and these four footballers are at their level with no chance of earning better money elsewhere. A club with ambition to win the league would be seeking to improve everywhere within the squad. Why Reynolds has regressed is my biggest concern. He's the only one for me at CB that historically looked good enough for a team that wanted to win stuff.

It was in the 80's when I read it so can't remember too much about it other than it was hard to get into. The flogging of the dead horse analogy made it into the film I noticed. Wasn't inspired to read any more Heller but it was an excellent book.
-
I think the St Mirren regret of sacking him came much later. At the time they had no option. If the stuff in the unauthorised biography were untrue, it wouldn't have made it to the shelves.

I was quite late, my first game at Pittodrie as we were living on the other side of the world in the late 60's so 1970, Aberdeen 1, Falkirk 0, Joe Harper penalty. Supported them for ages before I seen them. Coincidentally, it was the team my dad supported too.
