^ You and I see the same picture dude. And yet when I suggested the season was over after two games, some cunt took offence. He was from the English city within Scotland right enough. Which makes him a Fud by default.

Either mate. Only there 3 days.

^ Brilliant post bb. Nailed.

My wife and I are doing our annual November London trip and I've been in receipt of a great e-mail about the best "gastro pubs", whatever the fuck that means. We are staying at the Savoy so will engage with one or more of their eateries, we're at the Caravan Palace at Brixton Academy so we're looking for some inspirational recommendations. La Famiglia is getting hit one of the nights. Bob Bob Ricard won't be. Any inspired recs welcome.

I left after the "penalty" that never was. Fucking disgrace. Was surprised how competitive we were until then. Celtic were shit but we were worse. Horrible experience. But totally predictable.

I thought it was good. I never knew about Duff at Hibs but one look at the cunt was enough to know. -
If true, absolute undeniable proof that McInnes is a fucking incompetent arse. He's the best manager we've had under Milne but as we're seeing every day, he's still not very good. Like Calderwood, another one who will never go to a bigger club after AFC. Not even McInnes can be that thick though. No chance Ryan plays. Even thinking about it to paper over the cracks of his recruitment inadequacies is insane.

I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole. For many reasons, the biggest one being that his best days are behind him and even then he wasn't good enough. Played his best football the season after he left us and performed much better than I thought him capable so add short-changed us to the long list. It would be worse than Jackie Macnamara or however the fuck he spells the name I try to eradicate from my memory.

The real reason for the impending implosion of Scottish football following years of gradual decline has nothing to do with league structures nor revenue distributions. It's to do with the grass roots. Kids don't play football on nearly the same scale that they did. If you need someone to blame, football administrators chose to ignore the signs.

Starting Saturday. McInnes is happy to have a job. Who can blame him? Calderwood wasn't just happy to have a job, he couldn't believe how stupid we were to keep on paying him, as demand for his services before and after AFC proved. McInnes is given a budget and told not to exceed it. That's fine. That's what managers do, work within the limits that they're given. So either the budget he's given is adequate for the job and he's not very good or the budget is not big enough for the job. So definition of what "the job" should be is now required. If this is a squad and manager capable of competing for the title, I'm very wrong. For me the prospect of even being within 12 points of Celtic by the end of this calendar year, before the real business begins, is zero. Something has been going very wrong at AFC for decades. And the muppets refuse to believe it.

Agree the Olympics has been brilliant as it always is. Two things; Hitchens article about the over-zealous celebrating by "our country" is indeed disturbing. No way does golf - and tennis and football - deserve to be there.

We all saw how good Tony Watt was last week. Apparently he was even better today.

You post once a month. I post a couple of dozen a week. If you have a problem with what I post, have the decency to specify but jumping with insults is hardly constructive. You don't have to read what I write, it's a conversation you're not involved in and given that you contribute fuck all to the site, I can't understand your anger. Are you frustrated or just a fucking retard? What shit are you carrying? Nobody gets tired of your voice. Voyeur.

It's ok to be certain about something. It's ok to be not sure about something else. It's just quite rare if not impossible to be either or about the same something. Just make sure you're not infected by these truths; Those who resent those who have conviction are weak. No man ever achieved anything without conviction. "A "No" uttered from the deepest conviction is better than a "Yes" merely uttered to please, or worse, to avoid trouble". Mahatma Gandhi.

You have a distinct memory but you may be fabricating it? I used to be indecisive but now I'm not so sure.

Har har. Kwolity.

In this case, we agree. Now you're talking about a completely different issue. Kenny McLean started off brilliant with AFC but his performances have been deteriorating with gradual consistency to such a degree he's now next to useless. There will be reasons for this and it's up to the manager to sort it. Just because one midfield player has turned rank rotten, this doesn't justify shuffling the back and weakening our strengths. Another - Hayes - being injured shouldn't mean a full blown crisis but with the shite we have in the squad, we can't cope with one injured and one out of form. That's shite management.
-
As with every successful business, team or organisation, put the right people in the right places doing the right things. It's really not rocket science. Shinnie's performance levels in midfield shouldn't need to be discussed as it's obvious to any fucking idiot that LB is his best position. It's where can excels and the only excuse for not playing him there is critical injury cover, if our squad was so thin that we had to deploy him there where we get exposed for not having enough quality in the middle of the park. Where McInnes does a really good impression of a fucking idiot was playing Shinnie there when he didn't have to. Fine if he recruited so poorly that he needed a temporary fix in an injury crisis but playing him out of his best position was madness and is madness. Maybe he thinks he's a managerial genius who's going to develop a world class midfielder out of him. History has shown some managers develop international class footballers in positions they originally weren't. Shinnie in midfield isn't one of them as any fucking idiot can see.

I am similarly surprised it didn't appear on social media. I first heard about it on Monday from my son who was there and although he didn't hear it, two of his mates said Follow follow was what they were heard singing. I then heard in the pub yesterday evening from a manager at a big company who got told about it by one of his suppliers. This is a simple manifestation of the biggest sickness in our country let alone football. These weegie cunts are brought up to hate the other, sectarianism being prescribed. No different from the Shias and Sunnis. Divisions of the same religion, the irony being, at least in the case of the different branches of Christianity that the vast majority of proddies and kafflicks are non practising and therefore hypocrites.
-
You're a fucking beaut min. Do you actually have any connection with our city and our club? Are you just a lonely fuckwit on tinternet? How much provocation do you expect one to take? Every cunt can see it. The obsession within your soul. But I'm not your problem. You are you're problem. You just hate that I can see it. Stereo MC's. Connected.

You don't have the courage to say anything. This may be because you are timid, afraid to offend. It might be because you have nothing interesting to say. Or it could be because you're just a fud. I reckon the latter. Look at your life. Compare it to others. Then appreciate how sad you are. It's not anybody else's fault. It's just you. And your parents probably. You can't escape genetics but there's no excuse for not outgrowing environmentals. Sick nothing.
-
If I said I just made it up, would that surprise you? Do I have a track record of lying? For a cunt who hasn't got the balls to say anything - "I could be wrong", "I might be mistaken" etc. etc. you're very quick to look for sources. Is this because you have none of your own? Do you have anything interesting to say or contribute? About anything? It will come out. The place was packed.

Scottish football is so poor these days, anyone with half an ambition could compete. Unlike British cycling where the mechanics, coaches, nutritionists, strength and conditioning guys and gals, data analysts, medics and athletes and various other specialists all work together as a team towards a common goal, AFC is completely disjointed. The chairman wants one thing. He has a self-appointed board which supports him. George Yule is a great guy but a sacrificial lamb who doesn't know he's being used. Only George and the fans are on the same page. Even the team are not. We thought the Calderwood era was history. Kenny McLean and Storrie and Stockley were singing Rangers songs in an Aberdeen nightclub on Saturday night. Now that's disjointed to the ultimate degree.
-
The injection of funds from our chairman, the man who owns less than 30% of the club is never going to happen but I doubt that you "expect too much". That needs definition of course but this opens up the question of what would be reasonable expectations to have? We got told incessantly that we had unreasonable expectations. This was admitted by Willie Miller in the AGM. WHY were we being fed this line by Messrs Calderwood and Miller is the intelligent thing to consider. The man who orchestrated this strategy is still there. For a club of our size and potential, whatever expectations could be agreed on as reasonable have failed to materialise. Again, the most powerful word in language, WHY? Looking at effects is easy. Understanding causes requires deeper observational ability and robust critical thinking skills. The agenda of one man is not the same as the fans. Never has been for almost three decades since the day he got his foot in the door, invited to tender for the building of the RDS by a man who did have his heart in the right place, in the same place as each and every one of the fans.

Excellent posts. Refreshing to see a "pure thread" where 100% of the comments are spot on, a thread yet to be contaminated. The shortfalls going into this season have been so obvious that it was imperative to get off to a fast start. A couple of draws wouldn't normally be fatal but given the inadequacies within our squad, instant momentum and confidence was needed to have a run at it. It was the performances themselves that tells me that there is nowhere left to go. We have neither the depth of squad nor any inspiration being injected into them. Fans - of the majority of clubs - are notorious for their blind optimism. Indeed masochism is a major driver in the act of supporting football teams. Continuing attendance is an act of loyalty which feeds tribal belonging and the stoicism and endurance of continuous failure feeds a sense of discipline that may be lacking in their lives. The wise appreciate a generalist view when they see it and don't need it spelled out that there are exceptions to most rules but where the specific motivations to support are shared by many, it's the deployment of optimism that's the more interesting aspect for me. I prefer the natural optimist who doesn't shout about it. The use of pessimistic sentiments to disguise hopes and dreams are a self defence mechanism to guard against more failure. When the ingredients scream guaranteed failure however, there is no value in espousing hope and optimism. The horse has bolted. The ship has gone. 3rd would be a great achievement with this manager and this squad and lucking into a cup win is beyond this lot in my opinion. Time will tell.
