I agree with the OP. Those six are worthy of being in our squad. Bin or sell the rest. But the real problem at AFC for over 20 years now is the chairman. He doesn't see "the football side of the business" as the priority. He's just happy to get by. Even with an incredibly generous and unexpected investment from Mr & Mrs Wm Donald, none of that will be converted into ambition, attempting to buy decent quality. Not that I would guarantee McInnes would be able to see let alone buy quality. Shinnie and McLean were obvious targets and within our budget, even the limited budget that the chairman allowed.

A player of one team, one who was known to support another team choosing to attend a match of the competitor deserves nothing but condemnation, irrespective of whether they "celebrated" (whether externally or internally) the success of the competitor team, the one they support, the one that his employers are trying to beat. -

Had to laff at "call me Dave". He presented himself as lily white with his rented house and no shares. But who is the biggest benefiary of offshore wind farms in the whole of Europe? His father-in-law. Unless that woman on the panel lied on Question Time? The revelation that neither the BBC nor any other cunt decided to investigate. And why would his own father NEED an offshore trust? What is he hiding that he needs his assets recorded out of Britain? George is a bit quiet, no? Oor Dod. The Osbourne faggot. The black sheep in his ancestry. Just look at the facts, who he is, where he came from. They might not have laundered through this firm but they evaded much tax, the cunts, millions. -

Yanis Varoufakis on Channel 4 News just now once again speaks the truth. We never see Rupert and Auntie offering an alternative view. They constantly induce fear in their sheep-like audience, presenting neocon government lies at every turn, abandoning any attempt at balanced debate. Great post Rico. However, much as we agree on the fundamentally despicable nature of the organisation, I don't buy that their "reporters" don't know what the scoop is and haven't the intelligence to ask the right questions. They're like everyone else, with bills to pay and families to look after. They're not like Assange or Snowden and whistleblowing i.e. telling truth is career suicide. They know the game and they're being paid to play it. It's just when the critical mass gets big enough - and it's growing - that revolution will occur. It may be peaceful and resulting in political change including indicting the current and past lot with serious crimes or it shall be bloody and French and Russian like. The Arab Spring was a futile attempt to overthrow corruption because the real problem is global, not local to one or other jurisdictions. -

The Panama Papers is welcome not just in as much that it exposes truth but because it proves that investigative journalism hasn't totally been stamped out. Much as Rupert and Jerry and Auntie and the big six would like to control what we get fed, and they do, the monopolist media hasn't quite got their fingers in all parts of the dyke. Very surprised to see the BBC in the credits of a video pertaining to TPP. That'll be a couple of their employees sacked today then. -

That was a statement of truth. No arguing with facts. If it's this obvious to us, the question is why are our "leaders" STILL currying favour with the Saudis? Two reasons. They've been bought and they're incredibly stupid. -
3 out of 4 ain't bad. McLaren, Garde and Neville. Now need Fat Sam to get the bullet. Unfortunately that won't be this side of the summer and if he gets Norwich relegated and keeps Soonderlund up, I fear he may even be given another chance for 2016/17. I despise Allardyce. More than I disliked McLaren. He's a fucking charlatan.

Kane produces magic. Correctly paralleled to Cruyff by the commentators.
-
Linesman Russian? Chalked off a perfect goal there. Never offside.

14 minutes in and this has got 3 or 4 nil written all over it

Very interesting first 8 minutes of Deutschland v. Engerlund. ABE.

With the field being reduced to 16 from 64 tomorrow, I pick Kuchar to win it at the end of the week.

Great point. I asked this in the pub tonight. Platini was the best answer I got but we all forgot about Zizou. Now that makes it a contest. Cruyff did magic nobody ever saw previously. Nothing to do with romance and everything to do with inspiring others, I'll still go with Johan. Zidane wasn't necessarily as consistent in delivering excellence, bar a 12/18 month period of sublime sublimeness. EDIT: This is an age thing. I wouldn't and couldn't argue against Puskas and Eusebio because I wasn't around to watch them play on the telly and read about them week in week out. I was around for Cruyff though.

Your memory is good. Bobby Clark, unlike the vast, vast majority in the modern era was never a futile diver. Of the particular incident last night, this is where he was when the ball struck the bar: - It's not even close. This happens all the time, with even worse examples than this. EDIT: The pic, if seen just in isolation may be misleading in that it might look like the ball went over his hand. The truth was that McGregor's hand in that screen shot was the closest it got during the flight and still never got anywhere near it. The ball didn't go over his hand. This was him being as far right as he could get, having left a big hole over the wall.

Lol. Just proves how we all see stuff differently. I agree that he got up smart and fisted it past the post by reacting well but what about this as an observation? He should never have been on the ground. His dive towards the free kick was futile. He was never getting near it, as he well knew when he took his dive. This is a common fault, keepers diving when they know they're not getting there. Nobody has the courage to stand up, move towards the other side in the event that it does hit woodwork and rebound. Futile diving happens in every game, for reasons that include everyone else does it, not wanting to look stupid, instinct taking us to that side etc. Glad you liked the This is Water speech. I put up a slide in my own presentation this week that had the subject followed by eh? The e stood for enthusiasm, the h stood for humility, and the ? stands for Always Be Asking Questions. The best route to understanding is knowing what the right questions are because none of us have all the answers. This is a totally different issue to delivering opinions with conviction and presenting truths with force. Even then, these can only be done when the presenter has put in the full time and is qualified to know. The best part of that speech for me were these words: - blind certainty - a closed mindedness that amounts to an imprisonment so total that the prisoner doesn’t even know he’s locked up

All the pundits raving about McGregor's performance. It is possible that the pundits really understand goalkeeping and are qualified to comment. But like everything, there are different ways of looking at things. As the "this is water" speech I put up yesterday identified - and zillions of other sources - how we think determines what we see. The same reality is interpreted completely differently depending on who is doing the viewing and how they view. Consider his performance in a different way. Which of McGregor's saves were exceptional? Which one of them was truly great, one that any competent keeper would not have been expected to save? Which of them, had he not made it, would he not have been slagged for? McGregor's performance was very good because he did the competent well and because he was so busy, he did the competent well repeatedly. Had he let any of them in, it would have been a howler, a piece of total incompetence. Without knowing that they're doing it and born from a total ignorance of the art of goalkeeping, those gushing in praise for McGregor last night are praising him for doing the basic requirements of the role and not fucking up. There was nothing exceptional about any of the saves.

Heavy smoker, died of cancer. That's a correlation that's been done before. But having given up for 3 years after a 33 year habit, I'm still addicted to nicotine. I use that spray and I swear it's the reason I'm facing thousands in dental work. Just give up people. Loser habit and don't use QuickMist spray when you do quit.

I'd never heard of him until Sunday morning! The one part of that speech that creeped me a bit was when he was talking about preferred suicide methods with a gun. Having then done a bit of research on the guy, interesting that he chose a different modus operandi. Some of the most talented minds are the most tortured. This was a classic quote: - Blind certainty = a closed mindedness that amounts to an imprisonment so total that the prisoner doesn’t even know he’s locked up -

Much as you would close the "argument" - not that we were arguing - and run away, I won't let you. I have a couple of presents for you. My compassion for my fellow man knows no bounds. The people on the elevator missed the obvious, that they could take action on. Whilst there are a couple of major truths in this rather amusing video, the point of the fish story, he explains in full. We miss the most important and obvious realities. I hope you enjoy them. The second video deals with a ton of truths. I plagiarised some of it in a presentation I did on Monday to open a two day conference. The brilliant Spancunian speaker - spanish but lived in Manchester the last 15 years - used the first video in his presentation to close the symposium. I'd not heard of or seen either five days ago! -

You continually expose your naivety and ignorance in your words. What he writes is what some of us - still a very small minority of the world's population unfortunately - have been reading and thinking for years, from massively diverse sources. When one applies critical thinking to the evidence before us, having bothered our arses to seek truth in a sufficiently diligent manner, it's obvious. You miss the obvious realities for reasons beyond my ken, just like the two young fish, just like the two stranded elevator passengers. -
I wasn't lucky enough to see him play as he never played against AFC and that was before my brief period of watching Scotland. What game(s) did you see him in out of interest? On the phone, I described him as the best European footballer ever to my daughter just now. He came up on the news and I just instinctively said that. On reflection, I think I might have been right. Can't think of too many contenders?

"If" he's right? Why would he not be? Where did you get your view of the world? Truth is truth. Did you think a plane flew into the Pentagon too? You shouldn't believe lies. -

I think you're right, on both your first counts. He's so volatile, he inspires volatility in others. Even my opinion of him is confused. He's a total wankstain of a human. -

Donald Trump is the only hope for peace and progress in the world. I never thought I would ever think that, let alone say it. Sometimes a mad problem needs a mad solution. He's a fucking madman for sure but he's not part of the problem and hopefully has the strength of character and will be surrounded by intelligent enough people to stop the war and get rid of the bastards who have corrupted the planet and bring them to account. It's a long shot and a pipe dream but the sheeple need to wake up to the truth. -

Great article. More and more of us are seeing through the "new world order", which in reality is an old world order of systemic corruption on the biggest imaginable scale, the west being the truly evil force polluting the world, impoverishing its own people and killing innocents indiscriminately. Once majority awareness kicks in, there is only one natural end and that is the imprisonment of Blair, Cameron et al and the execution of Clinton, Bush, Obama et al. Plus their many counterparts in many countries in Europe and around the world. The danger is that the neocons, sensing their own end, do something very mad.
