You're working this out as you go along, aren't you? First you advocated minimum stadia requirements. Now you're demanding must play at home. I don't see what harm there is in switching venues when quite obviously nobody on the planet has any objection? Apart from you.

The first two predictions make me laugh. 2-2 & 3-0. That's exactly it, we don't know which team will turn up. Consistency, a quality shared by winners is infuriatingly absent at AFC. I'm much more with you Al in that I do expect a comfortable win but I wouldn't bet against any other eventuality either, including an away win. The only thing I do know for certain is that these fancy long johns, ridiculously-priced Icebreaker "base layer" will be getting worn tomorrow night. Never worn anything under breeks before. Never needed to. I'm hard. I'm NE. I'm getting older too though!

On Reuters just now: - Goldman Sachs has agreed to donate a "substantial six-figure sum" to Britain Stronger in Europe, a campaign to keep Britain in the European Union, according to a source familiar with the matter. Britain Stronger in Europe is chaired by former Marks and Spencer CEO Stuart Rose. Britain is due to hold a referendum this year or next on whether to remain in the EU, and prospects of it leaving the union have raised concerns among sections of the country's business community and weighed on sterling Goldman is not thought to be the only big bank that has agreed to fund the 'In' campaign, to with other firms have also agreed to commit money in recent weeks, Sky News cited sources as saying. Britain Stronger in Europe was not immediately available for comment. (Reporting by Parikshit Mishra in Bengaluru; editing by John Stonestreet) People do things for a reason. The motivations behind this aren't obscure.

People go to watch football at these wee club grounds every week and so there's nothing preventing them hosting Celtic. It's just tough shit that demand for tickets will exceed the ability to supply by more than 10 to 1. Remember how many "home fans" would come out of the woodwork for it too. So rather than your devil advocating minimum stadia requirements, is your deil now proposing must play at home? That's a bit mean spirited isn't it, when the balls coming out in reverse would have meant an even bigger payday?
-
I know you won't take this the wrong way where the majority on fitba webchatspeaksites would but let me help you here. Public safety doesn't take precedence over football ability. That's confused critical thinking. The nature of the competition is one thing. The logistics for making it happen is another. I would normally over-elaborate and make the point to incontrovertible death but I'm hoping that that nails it. The notion that a wee team couldn't play in the national cup competition if it didn't satisfy minimum stadia criteria is a terrible one. Totally different when you're talking leagues where the ability to accommodate 2,000 or 10,000 is an anticipated regular occurrence.
-
No idea. Probably something to do with anticipated spectator levels and crowd safety. Fairy story potential - wee clubs beating big clubs - is a more attractive proposition than adherence to Health and Safety regulations, particularly when in the rare event that the wee team gets far enough that it does become an issue, it's a very simple fix, just switching the venue.

If you report 8/10 or better, I'll go. Been sitting on the fence on this. One of my best mates has seen it twice and loved it. Daughter no. 2 gave it 78/100 and said that I should go, particularly in that it's best appreciated on the big screen. She was the one that I recommended not to bother with TH8, whereas my Rev-double-viewer mate gave TH8 7/10, more than I did. With daughter 1 giving it 8/10 and some posts above expressing positives about a film I considered a plodding bore (despite the excellence of the actors), it just reinforces what we already know and different strokes for different folks etc. The trailer put me off The Revenant and it's getting mixed reviews. My instinct says I wouldn't be knocked out by it and I can't stand going to the movies to watch 7/10 or worse. I await your verdict sir!
-
That would depend on whether the competition was one of football ability or one of stadia comparisons.

If anyone doesn't understand the role of the banks, the people who run the banks, how they have seized total control and how it's shaped and is still shaping world history, this will be educational. http://thegreateststorynevertold.tv Of course with my addictive personality, I watched it all in a one-ner but you need a few hours spare to watch every episode. Very worthwhile if you do. The best documentary that I've ever seen.

Arabs, uprisings, hate and corruption

These paki Taliban fuckers eh? They shoot the lassie in the head, her crime being that she attended school, the one that got a peace prize later and yet again they target a university, racking up a kill count of 19 so far. There's a common theme here. Those men folk HATE education. If their people are allowed access to education, they might learn that these barbaric bastards are cunts. These perpetrators of violence are weak men, thick, uneducated men who subjugate women and suppress anything and wipe out anybody that might threaten their domination of the local culture. Unfortunately there is one lesson they and their ancestors learned, the hard way. The British Empire fucked their region and created divisions that required the creation of a brand new state. It's no wonder they reject "our values" given the history, both back then and in recent years, by the coalition in their country. What a fucking mess. Again. -
How does one explain instinct? I couldn't be arsed trying to explain my dislike of him. Yes he got some good results at Watford the first time round but ran out of steam pretty early. His win ratio was well below 50% everywhere he went. A total charlatan who lucked into the big job - then failed in it - due to the inept clowns running the FA.

Graham Taylor is a king wank and was totally out of his depth. Having that old clown McMenemy next to him alone was proof of his incompetence. Horrible little cunt Taylor. Can't empathise with him at all.

You made yet another mistake. You assumed that "stylistic immaturity" referred to your style of writing. Like anybody gives a fuck about how any of us writes on any internet forum that was not designed for anally retentive English language types for the purpose of discussing the finer points of English grammar. I couldn't imagine a more boring pursuit personally but I respect the right for anyone to exchange with like-minded people on shared interests. Then, confronted by something you didn't understand, in your confusion, you lashed out with an insult. This is not the best style of exchange to adopt if you want to grow and learn although of course, you don't need to.

As per my last post on this thread, we need to keep the distinction between the ruling class and the classes. The two posts above need to be challenged on the definition of who "we" are. I'm too busy just now to expand but think about it, specifically the point about "we" going right or "we" going left. It's nonsense to suggest that there is a difference between the political parties. Until the people in the west wake up to the truth, nothing will prevent this course towards greater world instability. "We" are the problem and not recognising this fundamental truth is why it's going to get a whole lot worse for the most amount of people. Very good post to recognise that the big crash is imminent, despite the offensive, but at least consistently offensive stylistic immaturity displayed once again.

Yes he did well today. He had no chance at the goals and he was lucky. For the hard of thinking and those who lack sufficient imagination, attributing luck is a compliment. We make our own luck most of the time and he made his. A great reaction save with his right hand in the first half from a pretty good head flick-glance and stood up well to a couple of balls blasted straight at him. Well done Broon. Resolve was indeed in evidence right from the off. Now I want to know why? Where the fuck has this level of commitment been all too often in the last 3/4 months? Why did it suddenly appear today? They're obviously a weak collective bunch in that they're not sufficiently motivated enough of the time - like EVERY time they put on the shirt - but what changed? With the right attitude and application, this squad would have been more than good enough to challenge a shit Celtic. It is the value of consistency that these footballers / the manager and coaches / this club fails to appreciate.

Reading Kelman's You have to be careful in the land of the free. It's typical James Kelman. I know he won the Booker Prize but by god he polarises. Even within one who has bothered to read most of his stuff. An acquired taste, one that I'm not even sure that I have. Hard work. Edit: finished it tonight. Not recommended to anyone other than Kelman enthusiasts. Of which I'm not one. My first Kelman this century and that will be my last, I would like to say but I know I'll pick up another one day. Pathological pathos that is weirdly intriguing, for fucked up perspectives like mine.

Then again, with Scott Brown in goals and Rooney's two headers missing the target when it was easier to score, we're not guaranteed not to be shit in this game too. How the fuck Hayes missed that was unbelievable. From 9 yards over the top. That was very very shit.
-
Ross County are shit. Scottish football is shit and Ross County are the archetypal cheap Scottish team. Even with 10 men, we can beat these clowns, as long as we continue to show the right desire.
-
Aberdeen started this game in a manner we haven't seen for a very long time. I was reminded of a great speech I attended a year ago where Attitude + Application is way more influential than ability.

The world according to TRUTH, not western lies

Thanks for TED talk link. Bingo! I've seen a lot of TED but didn't know about that one nor did I know the kids name. I just read about him somewhere. What an inspiring human. One of the best TED talks I've ever seen. Brilliant. Agree on the abhorrence of capitalist exploitation of medicine. One of my daughters is doing a Ph.D. in virology and like all scientific researchers, has had to sign away her independence so that the "university" i.e. the kleptocratic "system" owns her mind. -
Haha. I wouldn't know. MILF's were not my targets in the late 70's/early 80's. Only went there a couple of times and don't think we ever lasted more than one drink. Not enough good looking bright young girls our age. Mostly horror shows who looked diseased, alcoholic and underclass, possibly all three was my impression.

Known as Clappy Valley, presumably for very good reason, not to do with applause.

The world according to TRUTH, not western lies

Here's a couple of truths: - 1. Obama's last State of the Nation address this week included a reference to beating cancer. 2. Adverts on UK TV first started appearing in 2015 that "we will beat cancer". Here's some more: - 3. Aaron Schwartz died at 26, some (the Feds) say at his own hand. 4. His cause was the liberation of knowledge which the US government is digitising and exploiting for profit. 5. As a result of free library access, a 14 year old US schoolboy approached a number of universities. 6. His hypothesis concluded with the path towards a cure for pancreatic cancer. 7. He was ignored by every professor and it was only because of a solitary research assistant that his findings were aired. 8. Cancer is very profitable for some already rich individuals and organisations. The critical thinker, armed with the requisite boundaries-exploration objective as a starting point, will not rule out the question of considering who would benefit from curing cancer and who would suffer in this eventuality. I doubt that any of us haven't personal experience of friends, family or acquaintances dying or suffering from this awful disease so the utilitarian perspective demands the conclusion that most, like a massively overwhelming majority of us would all benefit by cancer reduction. But as we are not in charge, the delivery of solutions will come at the pace the state decides. One thing is certain. Cellular science is sufficiently advanced and has benefited from such unprecedented levels of investment (mostly from private donations) that there remains no logical explanation for cancer still being so "unknown" that so much of the public purse is spent on it. This is one of the biggest political spin opportunities coming up and the west will use the cure to show us how hard they work for the benefit of the people.
