  1. I haven't seen Milsom since I stopped going months ago so haven't seen this decline of which you speak. So who are the AFC players worth paying money to see these days then?
  2. 3 points and 12 goals better off is massive progress. Yippee for Craigie. And Knox.
  3. Milsom is being targeted by Championship clubs Burnley and Brighton and others according to the P & J. He's our best player, arguably our only real quality. This will be a test of the board's ambition. The gross debt was caused by gross mismanagement. To take the money would be to repeat the same mistake yet again. Reduce the non-productive wagebill and invest in decent players might, just might get bums on seats. An extra 5,000 per home game x 5 home games = half a million +.
  4. Whether he is better or worse than Gonzalez is a separate debate. Langfield's not good enough for AFC. You pick players who can do a job. Since Langfield isn't capable of doing a half decent job, you get rid. If the next keeper isn't good enough either, you get rid. If you keep on recruiting poor keepers, save yourself the price of a good one by getting rid of Leighton and his unnecessary wage.
  5. Recalling a fumbling bumbling idiot who is already known to be shite, who's utter shiteness has been proved so often it's embarrassing, makes zero sense. If there is a Brown option, it must always be explored in its stead. Choosing Clangfield is choosing the black option, death by incompetence.
  6. Birmingham being quoted above Aberdeen shoots any credibility the survey may have. I lived in HK for six years. The fresh mango's and lychees were the highlights for me, plus the judo but there was no Hazlehead nor Eiberdeen quines so Abz shades it over HK with Brum a long way back in my book.
  7. Raspberry beret, the kind you'd find in a second hand store
  8. Langfield in goals again? That'll bring stability. That'll guarantee success. That'll bring back the crowds.
  9. Sounded like a fucking shite quality performance again. The sort that we've had to endure for a very long time now. Good job the percentage of all potential customers who may have considered spending money watching AFC in the future is very low on webchatspeaksites. Once Chris Chrichton posts his incisive criticism on Monday, that'll be a few thousand more thinking thank fuck I've stopped going. That "few thousand" will run into five figures. It might only be 8,976 or 7,391 who, this particular Monday a.m. say this to themselves after reading Chrichton, consciously and/or subconsciously and silently in contemplation but we never blame the messenger. The truth is that many thousands have been alienated from AFC by the product and the reasons are fairly clear to any semi-intelligent observer. I'm consistently amazed by the enduring numbers of our away support.
  10. Blaming customers is what Miller and Calderwood used to do. It wasn't clever. In fact, it was rather mentally unhealthy. It's like taking a restaurant franchise that worked everywhere else in the UK but when you make it fail, it must be the fault of the people who live within a 9.3 mile radius but choose not to dine there. Either that or Union Square.
  11. That pic is good but there is a dichotomy. Forget the fact that she's so ugly that the skin on her nose is diving into her brain via her tear ducts and she doesn't just have crow's feet but the toes of an ostrich, her eyes reveal one face you'd like to punch and one that you couldn't possibly. Look at her but cover one eye then cover the other one.
  12. Aberdeen will win 3-0. Will I be there? Will I fuck. Washing my hair.
  13. I've never liked the cunt ever. He bored me to fuck when he was Scotland boss. Normally he would get respect from me for managing to pull a bird a fraction of his age but back then I was more thinking of how fucked up she must have been, being barely in her 20's. Sounded like a mid life crisis to me and I can imagine how grey and dull his wife would have been. He was out of fitba for years, that's how big his stock value is. His brother is an arse which doesn't make him an arse per se but safe to say their parents would have been the most boring, staid Scotspeople ever. Probably church-going mice who've never taken a risk their whole sad little lives. First time I've ever expressed my true feelings about the AFC manager. Quite cathartic experience actually. I feel clean and refreshed. More like taking a massive dump than a steam room session. Probably both. Saying that I don't like Paw Broon is like having a dump in a steam room. With his ex-wife and her pals all watching, fainting and screaming according to their various constitutions.
  14. "fans who once idolised him?" I da fuckin tink so.
  15. I can assure you that it wasn't me nor my mate Josef. He got banged up a while ago.
  16. Utterly BRILLIANT. I lubbed it.
  17. Sone is a lightweight. Great feet, flashes of brilliance but a waste of space. Delighted the huns can only afford cheap shite like him these days. Delighted that their talent identification processes are so weak.
  18. Tigger just secured the point (again, like last time) that won the cup with a phenomenal bunker shot. He was a different animal today. Superb in every respect and back to untouchable and unbeatable. His putts wouldn't drop the first four matches but he putted superb today and credited Stricker for the advice he gave him last night/this a.m. Let there be no doubt. Woods ain't finished. He will win at least another major and possibly a few more.
  19. At 11 just now, Yang holes for birdie from 10 feet and both Johnson and Woods are inside him. Johnson misses on the pussy side from about 7 feet with a putt that was never going in. He's been shocking on these greens all week. I used to describe him a couple of years ago as the worst putter I've seen on telly but he had smartened his act up. These greens WILL expose weaknesses and Dustin obviously isn't yet strong enough in this aspect of his game. Incredibly, Tiger fresh off a long bomb at 10 to square a compelling match, misses from 4 or 5 feet also on the low side. He's missed almost everything today bar one good one this morning and the 35 footer at 10. It is a myth that all professionals are expert putters. There are some very poor putters in the pro game.
  20. That's a big call. Not necessarily even the best course in Oz without its history but it is indeed an awesome composite course. First time I played it I said "hemmin, fit ye deein?" when he was walking across a green with his trolley. He thought I was off my trolley. It's what they do at Royal Melbourne. The greens are so hard they encourage golfers to traverse rather than go round with the slicks on.
  21. And might a certain poster reveal which board member might that be, without prejudice?
  22. Anyone else been watching the Presidents Cup? Standard of putting has been woeful but some great golf and compulsive viewing on one of the world's best courses.
  23. Censorship eh? Mon en mods. Share the decision-making. Put it up as a case example, an academic point of illustration, dissected with its offensive naughty bit(s) highlighted so none of the rest of us make the same error. You are confident in your decision-making? When you assume the role of moral guardian to us all, we need you to comfort and cuddle us through this outrageous attack on our sense and sensibilities. In the meantime, you have to admit that his leftie reference was hilarious?
  24. Cracking looking course. There's only three new builds that I have yet to but I HAVE TO play at some point and fortunately, this one is more accessible than the others... in Tasmania, an island that I flew into and away from in the same day about 20 years ago (Hobart). At least one if not both of these have already been voted top 100 in the world: - http://barnbougledunes.com.au/the_course/view.html http://lostfarm.com.au/course.html Think we'll be booking a game for August or September at Trumps.
  25. Me neither. When I'm next in the same drug-induced state that I was when I posted that, I'll have a think and let you know.
