  1. SooShe at the corner of Ashley Road and Union Grove is the best restaurant in Aberdeen... if you love Japanese food as we do. Went there for the first time tonight and it won't be long before we go back. It's awesome, our favourite Japanese anywhere including the highly rated one we went to in NY. Unlike Sushi Yasuda though, it's very reasonably priced. The seared Nigri and the caviar Guncan were incredible and their Sashimi as good as we've ever tasted.
  2. What previous record? That he made shit up when working for the Guardian? Who cares? It doesn't matter what you and I think. You're right in that personality politics (and celebrity culture) means that we've got the political climate that we were inevitably heading for but when we have such a void of good, honest, electable people to choose from, this is what we get. The sheeple want a shepherd and Trump and Boris come across as being more capable than any other BECAUSE of their bluster. The people have been dumbed down so far now that truth and principles don't matter as much as "shepherding". He talks tough ergo he's the right man. It's a world gone nuts.
  3. One huge benefit of this has been the elimination of Ruth Davidson. So much for party politics, she allowed a personality clash to ruin her "career". She's another weak as piss professional politician who has nothing to say, never having had an original thought in its life. Good riddance.
  4. A leader that people can trust is the most important thing that matters when it comes to winning the next General Election. Given how weak the opposition are, I can't see anything but a Boris landslide. Farage's party are now an irrelevance as Boris is as anti-EU as their party name, the only mandate they stand on. By citing crime, health, education, living standards etc., he's projecting "getting on with it", something Theresa Robot was spectacularly inept in. In order to "get on with it", he needs a mandate and support and so he WANTS a General Election the sooner the better. Corbyn is dead. He had a chance but he blew it. Labour are unelectable, in that there is zero chance that England will return them as the majority party. Boris's high profile endorser, Trump, has rewritten the rules. Time will tell if their policies bear fruit but the one thing that is certain is that they've become the only vote winners in their respective sorry races.
  5. I must say that I admire the bomb that Boris has thrown into the room. By prorogating Parliament, he's taking a risk for sure but it's a calculated one and I think he could pull it off. For a start, the opposition are so weak and the whingeing likes of Corbyn and Sturgeon et al cut no statesmen mustard. Also, the overall trust in politicians has never been lower so for someone to act firmly and decisively, as if they know what they're doing, is something radical in the modern era. I think the people will be all for it.
  6. I love the starters at Yorokobi but not been so impressed with the mains. Yes must try Union Grove.
  7. We noticed a new Sushi bar opened in Huntly Street opposite Amore. Was very busy at 6 pm which must be a good sign. Must try.
  8. Amarone on Union Street had a fire I think. Probably an insurance arson job.
  9. GMS made an appearance in NYC's 2-1 win today. He got subbed on in the 98th minute.
  10. I'm not totally familiar with the Bosman rules but I'm sure that if McInnes and his sidekick do get healthy fuck off money, it'll be more to do with the terms that Milne gave him more than anything else. To be fair, the club can't be seen as mercenary and a harsh employer but fuck me, this cunt of a manager isn't good enough to be employed at all, let alone for this long and certainly not for this type of money.
  11. Interesting comments from a blue nosed Ulsterman last weekend. Don't know why it took a week before the wife bothered to remember to tell me but one of the stewards in Northern Ireland asked her where she was from and then proceeded to tell her that he used to go to Ibrox every second week and was a big fan until he "grew up". He specifically said that he's had enough of what he described was a "hate fest". Good on him, I thought. There are many good people in Norn, as there are everywhere of course.
  12. We all knew the SPFL was going to be a two horse race. After today, even the maths make it almost impossible that it won't be them first and second. This makes it very boring for the rest of us so in times of need, one needs to look further afield. Looking forward to getting to know Cove Rangers this season.
  13. I don't get why employees who fail in their jobs get big pay-outs. Ok, it's all down to the terms of each individual contract but who the fuck is negotiating the club into this death position? In the real world, useless fuckers get the bullet and a minimum amount to fuck off.
  14. You forgot about Amore in Huntly Street. Second visit last night and once again, the food was exceptional. Literally the best pasta dish I've ever tasted. The wife asked for a glass of house wine. It was so good, we bought a bottle to carry out (I was driving).
  15. Failing to tolerate stupidity or pointing out mental sickness when it shows itself is an aspect of personality. The words we use reveal various different aspects of personality. They don't reveal anything about the lives we lead. This is a basic distinction but an important one. I've never liked cowards and I have no respect for weak, jealous and resentful people. I don't give a fuck how these people lead their "life". I don't want to know.
  16. Since the club is stuck with these two duds, thanks to the most poisonous dud dwarf of them all, the chairman, perhaps they might learn to change their ways? Four of the goals in the Norwich Chelsea game currently on MOTD were scored by footballers 21 years old or younger. If the managers in the best league in the world aren't afraid of youth, what's their excuse? Edit: Daniel James is also 21, scoring at Old Trafford and looking good. Unless you give youth a chance, you'll never know what they can do. But they need managed properly, their heads full of belief because of the confidence their manager gives them. And 21 year old Harvey Barnes, subbed on by Brendan, scores a magnificent winner. The first by Vardy was set up by an exquisite pass by Maddison, a player who has been recognised by the England manager and who was speculated might be going to Man U. He was dropped by McInnes in his latter months. Perhaps he didn't fit into "our system"? Whatever the fuck that is.
  17. Is your astonishing ineptitude at picking winners in the Nailed On doubles concept in the betting thread a symptom of your knowing fuck all about fitba or is it an indication that you lose in most things in life?
  18. The only people who say we are all equal are those who are less than average. Celebrating achievement is healthy. Resenting high achievement is the preserve of those who can't achieve anything but fuck all.
  19. Top businessmen, of which he is one, are ruthless beings. Many are sociopaths and way lacking in full mental health. But we shouldn't allow them to feed their sickness. Their narcissism and their ego got them to where they are but fucked if a football club and thousands of fans should have to put up with a permanent reminder.

Do you still stand by this minijc?
  21. *** cue the pride being prickled and the insecurity of the weak intellect manifesting itself in failing to back down and digging deeper and deeper. It's incredible how it can't concede any single point, ever, typically of the stupid.
  22. The Hateful 8 had some good bits for sure but I was probably expecting too much, with QT having produced some of my favourite films of all time, Pulp Fiction being the best. I thought Jackie Brown was vastly underrated and that plus Django and Inglorious - in no particular order - would be included in my all-time top 5. This one was better than Hateful but not in my top list. It was gripping entertainment for the whole 2 hrs 40. And stay to the very end, past the credits. It's worth it...
  23. The Hateful 8 was a big disappointment for me but if it's any help, my 17 year old went with her mates on the night of release and my oldest daughter went to see it in Rotterdam at the weekend and they both liked it too so there's three positive accounts albeit from the same family. I can't imagine anyone other than a moron giving it a negative. Specifically, they'll be complaining that there wasn't a beginning, middle and end, like a traditional storyline. But since when did QT follow fashion. You'll love it.

The odds for those bets wouldn't have been far from 1. 11/4 2. 8/13 3. 8/11 4. 8/11 5. fuck knows If those were the exact odds, £500 would've turned into £9036.47 for the quad. What were the odds? And what was the cash out?
