  1. What is McInnes paid then?
  2. I said he was paid 3/4 a million and two posters as good as said I was lying. Now you butt in with a different angle. I never said I was reluctant to reveal my sources but in this debate, two posters have disputed that he was paid that. Manc said he couldn't imagine it but unlike the two, he didn't know. I think it's fair that we deal with the hostility first. At least others have discussed whether or not he's worth it. Two have flatly denied he was paid it. I want to know why they are so sure and why they tried to derail the debate?
  3. First bevvy I ever had at fitba was on the North Bank, Highbury. Pints in a real glass about 35 years ago, we couldn't believe it. Scottish people are considered incapable of behaving properly with a drink in, thus the ban at football grounds. What's the score at Murrayfield? I've never been to the rugby in my life and I haven't been fucked up the arse and I never went to public school neither but do the beirdie weirdie faggots who love the egg chasing get to drink duding their rugger bugger experience?
  4. Aye that was a humping but we had young loons including a 16 year old on the pitch who became superb footballers in the years that followed. I wasn't there but my wife was an Anfield, more than half a decade before we met. That's the secret to a long and successful marriage. Hook up with a girl who supports AFC. Not that she's been to a game since the eldest was a baby, more than a quarter of a century ago.
  5. It doesn't matter about what we do for a living. It doesn't matter how well we did at school. It doesn't matter what our intellect or our IQ is. The biggest influence on whether we are capable of learning every day is whether we are of Growth Mindset or Fixed Mindset. This has been the greatest breakthrough in psychology in our lifetimes in my opinion. No surprise it came out of Stanford University, one of the best seats of learning on the planet, academic or otherwise. Specifically, from Professor Carol Dweck, a marvellous woman.

    Betting

Sticking to the principle of one pick each and putting on doubles only, BB and I are showing a healthy profit so far this season after 9 Saturday's. I'm 8/9 and he's 7/9 and we have had 6 winning doubles and 3 losers. After losing the last twice, looking for Ross County and Killie to get us moving forward again this Saturday. A mate of mine puts on a £25 acca every week and won £809 a couple of weeks ago when six winners came in. He reckons he's won four times this season so will be well ahead of the bookie and guaranteed to be in profit come the end of the season, as we will be with our "nailed on doubles". There are different ways to skin a marmoset. If ever there was a sign from above that it's not easy and the need for humility, his coupon on Saturday contained six losers!
  7. An articulate response. Whilst you and I disagree on our current manager's worth, I respect your opinion.
  8. Are you disputing that how much he got paid is a matter of fact or are you demanding that I reveal the sources? You obviously have some serious evidence that he was not paid that much.
  9. It IS a matter of fact, what he got paid last year. What information do you have to state publicly that I am a liar and pushing an "agenda"? Have I been right? About what? I thought this was a forum for exchanging views and ideas, opinions and discussions? Did I dispute something you posted once? Is this the source of your resentment and of YOUR agenda? I suggest we stick to the process and exchange posts on the basis of specific debates. You're not making sense?
  10. I never said he was on a salary of £750k p.a. I'm telling you that that is how much he got paid in total last year. How much AFC plc paid him in salary, bonuses and additional payments is a matter of fact, not opinion. And since when does an opinion, even if vociferously held become an "agenda"? People who try to discredit dissent have an agenda. That's a matter of fact also. Please enlighten us to our manager's strengths? And please don't compare him to previous incumbents when doing so.
  11. Nowadays everybody wanna talk like they got something to say But nothing comes out when they move their lips Just a bunch of gibberish and motherfuckers forget that they got in their own way I'm using an Eminem line in a presentation coming up - not that one - but he's got some genius insights. The joyless are a sad species. Rather than confront the truth that their own repeated failures in life, in love, in relationships, in business, in employment, career choices etc. were actually as a direct consequence of their own inadequacies and fuck-ups, they adopt the unfortunate victimstance position as something to blame, thereby entrenching denial. Symptoms to be found in the joyless include a lack of enthusiasm, an inability to see anything positive and a bitter resentment towards others who are not as afflicted as they. The consistency in delivery and behaviour defines the terminal nature of their tragedy.
  12. "Quite like"? You should try enthusiasm and recognise excellence when you see it. He's the best football pundit I've ever heard in the history of the game. My love affair with him started just over a year ago. I was driving all day from down south and his contributions to the commentary of the Hearts Aberdeen game from Murrayfield were amazing. I've seen way more AFC games under McInnes than he has but he was describing things about our set up and play that taught me lots. You know when you get "situational recognitions" when someone tells us something and we go "absolutely spot on, I KNEW that", well he was describing the limitations of our squad and manager that day brilliantly. His ability to articulate the truth in a football match comes not just from a superior knowledge and experience of the game but from a huge intelligence.
  13. Anyone see Luther? I got into it recently and up to Series 4 now. Not sure if Idris Elba is a good or a ham actor but his character has been very well conceived. As have the scripts. Some preposterous plots and scenes but gripping suspense make it difficult to put down. The Alice character is ridiculously sublime.
  14. Failing to relocate his family to the North East was an indication that he had no intention of being here long term. This should have been discussed at the interview before the job offer. Instead, our chairman threw money at him to stay, many years after he had still not committed his future to the club. The last thing Milne needs right now are the fans on his back. He was happy to buy more time and never gave a fuck about the fitba, "the product" as he called it in the mid 90's. McInnes has taken us for a ride and is set up for life thanks to our charlatan chairman. He will be found out. The truth ALWAYS outs.
  15. This was my text that closed the conversation: - The stupidest people in society are in denial. They refute truth if they don't like it. They can even be POTUS with this sickness. The huns in our local pubs refuse to accept that Rangers died. Their arguments range from "why didn't they strip them of titles" to trying to suggest Celtic under Ferghus McCann also liquidated.
  16. Knox is a hun. I just wrote this to a client who is a hun: - You didn't enrol. You were brainwashed. You therefore are not exercising a choice nor free will. There isn't a war on so there are no "soldiers". The sectarian issue in the west of Scotland is a blight and a huge embarrassment to the country. It's stupid to hate in a civilised society and it's utterly hypocritical to divide on religion when none of you care about it. I had just had enough of his union jack and no surrender texts. On Saturday I spent the afternoon in the pub watching the Aberdeen game with two Celtic fans, one a mate of over 35 years. I've always hated Rangers more than I hate Celtic and there is very good reason to.
  17. I watched it and the goals were spectacular. Traditionally, Arsenal were always capable of bursts of magic but Arsene was not capable of imparting grit and fight into his talented technicians and they couldn't overcome the best teams. Will be interesting to see if Emery can succeed where Wenger couldn't or whether the curse is on the club.
  18. MBT, The Wheel of Life. Can't remember where I came across this but it's brilliant for two reasons; it's simple and it's true. Imagine a circle dissected into six equal portions. Like a pie or the trivial pursuits counter. These represent (in no particular order): - PHYSICAL health MENTAL health FAMILY SOCIAL MONEY SPIRITUAL health The theory goes that we need to look after all six areas and if we neglect any one of them, our "wheel" would be bumping down the long road that is life. It's therefore about balance and being aware of the main drivers. There was a corny axle in the middle which he called a "Relaxle" so I can recall that this theory was from a male but the context and source escapes me. That's some good advice about fresh air. Whilst the outdoors is good for improving mental health, I reckon by focusing on the physical health aspect, strengthening that will help your overall wheel. Some ACTION is required and since you are lucky enough to have Family, Social and Finance in order, there's not much else left to focus on to redress the balance and help your overall being. Try something new is also excellent advice right now. Get out of your head and in to your body. Spiritual health is probably the most difficult one to articulate but for me, being comfortable in my agnosticism and not being cruel to animals and respecting nature seems to cover that segment. Edit: Diet is also great advice. This improves the physical health aspect too. Avoid ALL processed foods. They're pure evil. It takes a wee bit of effort to prepare good meals but a change in nutrition can work wonders.
  19. I also watched most of the Hamilton Hun game and newco were really ordinary and pedestrian. Cracking equaliser the only thing worth watching. They can easily be beaten but I suspect Stevie Tink will have them properly motivated whereas McInnes has never inspired and imparted belief in the big games. The law of averages helps us. We can't keep on fucking up against these cunts. Surely it's time.
  20. He was shite yesterday but it's not just this season. He was totally ineffective for the vast majority of games in the last couple of months of last season. The last game of the season was an exception but let's face it, they didn't want to win, were happy for us to overtake the new club at the other side of the city and had nothing to play for. Shinnie is yet another example of a potentially very good footballer who has been allowed to go backwards under the charlatan that is McInnes.
  21. I don't do hearsay and rumour. The truth will out. It is indeed amazing. Agreed. You underestimate the value put upon him by Milne (and Cormack) and you need to consider WHY the board delivered grossly inflated incentives for him to stay, including the timing of it (10.5 months ago).
  22. Milne paid McInnes over THREE QUARTERS OF A MILLION last season. Is he worth it? Look at our annual turnover. Do the maths. Consider WHY the chairman values him?
  23. One of the worst 90 minutes I've ever had to endure. And despite the significantly weakened opposition, a very predictable result. McInnes is over and out. And he was never good enough from day one. Cunt. Total hun cunt.
  24. Bitter Boyd. The first time he got called Sumo at Pittodrie was funny. More than that though, he was brought up a hun and therefore by default he despises catholics and AFC. No one likes them and they pretend they don't care.
  25. Another angle is that we've not even seen flashes because his start frequency has been so appallingly low. Someone do the maths and tell us how many starts he's had per each month he's been at AFC. This alone will prove gross mismanagement. Consistency of performance is impossible to attain when one isn't being given a reasonable chance. The bigger question is why McInnes is so anti youth?
