It was a freaky bounce for Finau at 16. But 5 feet, not 3!
-
I just backed 4 - 4 at 5/1, after weirdly being able to cash out my 5.5 - 2.5 for my original stake. Singles on Garcia/Noren + Fran/Tommy too.
-
Playing McIlroy and dropping Casey this pm the first two massive errors by Bjorn
-
Watched every minute since 6.30 and got a 21.35/1 quadruple come up for predicting all 4. Not tempting fate again but did stick on half the winnings on Garcia and Noren to win at evens and got 5.5-2.5 at 9/1

She was at Anfield (and I wasn't) and at the Bayern home game in 83, more than 3 years before we met so those were big keep factors.

32 years on, I've been forking out for the bitch (and her offspring and her animals) ever since.

Lassies expecting to get everything paid for. Fuck that. I did end up buying all the drinks on some first dates but I always expected them to stand their hands and offer to buy a round. Depending how flush I was at the time - and how high my initial enthusiasm was - I sometimes did buy all the drinks. But if they never offered, there was never a second date. Ironically the woman I did marry got to the Albyn bar fractionally before I did for our first "scheduled" date. Her first words were music to my lugs - "you want a pint"?

I was three fingers deep up the cow before she decided she never wanted any more. That's ok, I just watched the film and had a wank later. I made sure to eat the popcorn with my left hand though. My market research had already informed me she wasn't a keeper.

I'm not going as I'm away that weekend but either I drive to away games or I get driven, mostly me driving. It's been a while since I've gone by bus and I guess that would be a pain, having to get up an hour and a half earlier but since it only happens occasionally, I don't get the problem. I frequently need to get out of bed at odd times for work and flights and I don't have an issue with setting alarms for 3 or 4 a.m.
-
I don't see a problem with the start time. I don't understand the beef.

I don't think this is criminalising anyone. It's all political, certainly in the timing. There's Me Too at play too of course but if it was criminal conduct, she would've said at the time. He's just a wank and she's a soft piece of nothingness. They're Americans basically.

The saddest thing in the pathetically hilarious Kavanaugh testimony today was when he mentioned the prayers his ten year old daughter said, the pathos being rich on three counts. Firstly, does his daughter praying for "the woman" make any difference to anything whatsoever? Does this show how well she's been brought up and therefore her virgin father couldn't possibly have tried to force himself on to a schoolgirl at high school once upon a time? Secondly, how terrible for a 10 year old to have a father that archaic, not just in age and appearance but in mind. Thirdly, what is wrong with these people, indoctrinating infants to pray to an imagined superbeing? Do the parents actually believe this shit themselves or is it just how they were brought up, like playing the dutiful American, belonging to the club? Ford would have to be a helluva actress for it not to be true. The boy's a creep who was unable to control his teenage hormones and was anxiously impatient to get his snasms. In doing so, he didn't commit any crime that one could get locked up for but he did grope an unwilling girl and showed the same misogyny that riddles and infects every secular society. Make America sick again. It's a cycle, one that repeats.

That's a really dumb idea that would only be perpetrated by dumb cunts thereby making AFC look dumb. If we got beat. Who the fuck could be arsed sitting for an hour or more after a game after a defeat, particularly from them? On the other hand, if we won... Nah, who the fuck could be arsed sitting for an hour or more when there are pubs to celebrate in and huns to wind up? There are more imaginative options available. It just takes cunts with imagination to think it through. But what's the fucking problem anyway? Getting out of bed at 7 or 8 a.m. never hurt nae cunt.

Now I'm intrigued I love it when the boundaries of possibilities are confronted and then exceeded. Why is McInnes the antichrist?
-
I heard it was Gentleman Wage Thief. That tickled me. You hated Calderwood as much as I hate Milne.
-
I wouldn't consider it possible for any rational, sane Aberdeen fan to hate DM more than hating those two. But the irrational and the insane is always more interesting and more fun so knock yourself out.
-
As one of his fiercest critics, I'm not sure that anyone "hates" McInnes. Like other posters though, we don't "love" him either. I will always be grateful that after a decade and a half of trying, our chairman finally got lucky enough to appoint a manager who wasn't either a fucking clown (Calderwood, McGhee) or at the end of his shelf life (A. Miller, Pele, GWT). At least our manager isn't an embarrassment these days but he must learn from his same repeated mistakes before I can fall in love with him. Five years on, I'm not sure that he can.
-
Correct. It's not even that though, much as that illustrates his sick outlook. The fact we're being linked with a has-been should be an embarrassment to any competent manager.
-
It's all about opinions. 1. You and I see that Considine at LB won't work. McInnes doesn't agree. 2. You and McInnes think that Shinnie in midfield can work. I don't agree. 3. You see Gleeson as good enough to play and get a result at Parkhead. I don't agree. 4. You see Forrester as good enough to play and get a result at Parkhead. I don't agree. I know you were just speculating on an alternative for an attacking formation but I also can't ever see McGinn and GMS as up-front targets. The limited skills that they do possess is required for running, passing and providing although an experiment that he's not tried but could work is McGinn up front because he does know how to bang them in the onion bag given half a chance.
-
GMS is one of my least favourite Dons. He is quick, both in feet and decision-making but he lacks heart, grit and steel and doesn't do enough over the course of a whole month, let alone season, offering only flashes of effectiveness. If Ferguson is back, I wouldn't play GMS at all, particularly against his ex-employer who didn't rate him and against whom I can't remember him doing anything. My thinking was attack is the best form of defence so I put McGinn, GMS and Lowe as the links between the solid and significantly-strengthened Shinnie-infused back four and the capable front three. I don't see the need for a holding midfielder to try and compete with Brown's role. We don't need to match their line-up at all. Let them worry about us. I don't think Ball and Shinnie are good enough in the middle of the park to break down the opposition, nor are they effective enough at providing assists. The high energy of Lowe, Anderson and Wilson supported by experience (McGinn and GMS) and strength (Cosgrove) was one that made me salivate. If indeed Ferguson is back, a high energy attacking game in front of the best defence we've seen at AFC for a decade and a half would be my preferred route. One thing's for sure, McInnes hasn't been able to beat Celtic in games that matter previously. And if he keeps on doing the same things, he ain't beating them any season soon.

Hibernian v Aberdeen Betfred Cup Quarter-Final

I don't do Twitter so whatever is spouted about AFC on there is invisible to me. But if you think that criticism is "out of proportion" then a forum for discussing matters AFC would be a suitable place for you to air your opinions in this regard. -

Talking of wild celebrations, a street in London heard us last night! My son called me after extra time as I was in the pub. He had just finished work and was at a bus stop. I had no option but to be his commentator for the penalties. They didn't just hear me bawling as every one went in, they had the rest of us in the pub screaming and hollering down the phone -
Celtic are 2/7 and AFC 9/1 but favourites don't always win. The only way to beat the champions (and the bookies) starts by putting out the best players in the right formation and hoping that they play well. I think he should go: - Lewis Logan - Devlin - McKenna - Shinnie McGinn - Ball - GMS - Lowe Cosgrove - Wilson I would actually prefer: - Lewis Logan - Devlin - McKenna - Shinnie McGinn - GMS - Lowe Anderson - Cosgrove - Wilson but having a go hasn't been in his script nor will he have the sense to get Shinnie out of the middle (where he's been frustratingly poor recently) and back into his best position. This is a great time to meet Celtic but I wouldn't look to the dead rubber that was the last game of last season for any precedent. They can't afford to not win but neither can we. Our league campaign will be over - in September - if we get beat as the bookies strongly think that we will. Edit: I think my team is awesome. It's something we could get excited about. The defence is superb, almost impenetrable with the poor hapless Considine oot the road. And here's why we wouldn't spend the whole match relying on them. McGinn and GMS are experienced campaigners. Give them instructions to hold the ball more often than trying to seek killer passes. The energy of Lowe, Anderson and Wilson swarming around them will provide short passing options plus Logan and Shinnie will not be shy moving down the flanks. Cosgrove is a target but he's also capable of holding it and plays intelligent flicks on. That is the best AFC for Saturday in my opinion and when Ferguson and Wright are fit, it will be McGinn and GMS who are vulnerable for their starts. Go with youth and energy McInnes. No cunt wins by accident, only by design. And by fuck Shinnie at LB completes the set, our best defence for decades.

Hibernian v Aberdeen Betfred Cup Quarter-Final

I've never met a supporter who wanted Aberdeen to lose to "fit an agenda". I have met many critics however, critics who are resented by the happy clappers and unsurprisingly so. It's difficult to accept that the club we have spent tens of thousands on and invested decades of our lives in have been underperforming for so long. Pele, Calderwood and McGhee are ironic examples. We fans had a duty to criticise them as our chairman wasn't upset. He appointed these fucking useless duds. It is fact that we were lucky to get through last night and it is fact that bar three penalties, there were some excellent and courageous spot kicks taken from both sides. Our only trophy since 2005 was won on penalties. Good teams can win in 90 minutes, or at least in 120. Scraping past Hibs on penalties doesn't augur well for the semi final or the final nor for the rest of the season. If we don't see the weaknesses in the current level of performances, and if the manager doesn't address the obvious weaknesses (assuming he even knows them and that he's not being strangled by the chairman), then it is impossible to change it. As some of us predicted, this is going to be a long hard season which may have ended less than 12 hours ago but for the crossbar. Wake up sheeple. It's still not working but at least we have a bit of luck on our side, even if Anderson's equaliser was our only shot on target against 10 men in the opening game. -
Mushroom button cock got laughed at in the UN today. It was funny. The boy is barking mad.
